Overall great. Service was ok. I had to ask for a water rf.
The food, service & ambience were excellent as usual. However, the noise level was so high, it was difficult to have a conversation. However, this was dinner on a Friday night & the people in the bar area were so loud that the noise filled the dining areas. But it’s still our fave Korean restaurant in NYC!
This was our first time at Bann Restaurant. It was my Husband's Birthday and we were seeing a Broadway show before the meal. The food was exceptional and absolutely delicious! I highly recommend Bann Restaurant!!!
Went for a birthday celebration! Went with seven people which was perfect because two tables near each other made for 8 seats. The food was good, service was a bit slow at first, but they were all polite. Food was really tasty. Recommend the calamari appetizer because it was fantastic. We all loved it!! The filet mignon Korean barbecue was really tasty as well. Two people at our table loved the octopus dish. It was fun. Out total bill came in at about $435 for the seven of us. This included appetizers, cocktails, main courses and dessert.
Wonderful from start to finish
Wonderful restaurant in the theater district. We enjoyed delicious authentic Korean food with modern twist. Seafood scallion pancake was so delicious!!
Excellent fresh food! Lively atmosphere and a great concept of the open smokeless grill in the middle of the table. This allowed our family to take our time and enjoy our meal while we grilled our meal. Great Keto choice as well!
Overall great experience! However I am a little baffled that our waiter didn’t know the word pallet when I asked him to describe the pallet of the sake.
Superb lunch! We had such a great lunch here. My Bento Box with salmon was all you could wish for and then some. Super tasty and not pricey at all. The staff made us feel like they had been particularly waiting for us to drop by that day.
Food = amazing
The Korean barbecue is great! We enjoy cooking the meat ourselves right at our table. We have been here before when we have been in New York and will be back!
Not for everyone, but I really enjoyed the whole "Korean Grill" experience. We ordered the large mixed grill which came with salmon, shrimp, duck breast, filet mignon, short rib and rib eye which you could cook to your liking on the grill in the center of the table. The mixed grill included lettuce wraps, white and brown rice, miso sauce, kimchi as well as several unidentifiable other dishes. All in all a good experience.
Service was lacking and way too hot in that restaurant that they had to use fans for their weak AC
Outstanding food and service. I cant wait to go back! Definitly night to remember
We went here for restaurant week and Bann did not disappoint. The appetizer portions were generous! The chicken wing and dumplings were delicious! Entrees were also generous. My friend ordered the Korean bbq- beef bulgogi. And I got the bi bim bap. The meat and vegetables were all very fresh! Would definitely come here again and not just for restaurant week!
The food was great. It should be we cooked it ourselves. The Service was poor.
Might add, We've eaten there several times this was the only time we had bad service.
The Korean BBQ was good and the atmosphere was laid back.
waiter kind, polite and helpful; ambience quiet and luxurious, food was delicious and esthetically served.
This was for restaurant week first time ever eating at Bann the waiter told funny 😄 jokes the pork belly dumplings were amazing. I had a bottle was Rosie wine made me a fan of Korean BBQ price was $82 would eat here again.
I've been going to this Restuarant for years and really love them! The meat is of the best quality and their customer service is amazing. The pork buns are to DIE for and the happy hour is great! Love Love Love this place!
We tried this spot during restaurant week, ordered the beef rib eye spicy korean bbq which was amazing. The food serving proportions was good to share, we also ordered the wok fried rice with shrimp. The cocktails were tasty, tried the lychee martini and ginger lemonade. We tried the omija dragon (pastry with ice cream) for desert and it was delicious. 😋 will definitely come again for the food and drinks. The decor was standard and vibe was relaxed.
We tried Bann for brunch for restaurant week and I have to say we had plenty to eat...the pork bun was quite tasty and had a zing to it...we also enjoyed the Korean barbecue but was a bit disappointed in the pork belly (which I usually love) but just seemed a bit tough to chew-otherwise, I would say try it as it is conveniently located near the theater.
Good overall, but overpriced.
The waiters were very attentive and provided great service. The food was very good and much better than the Korean food I usually get in Annandale VA which is the heart of Koreatown in DC
We enjoyed NYC restaurant week lunch. What a great value! Plenty of delicious food, good service.
The entry is nice, but the main hall can use a face lift. Besides that, the food is worth it.
Selected this restaurant because of NYC Restaurant Week. Overall, it was a very good experience.
This was a unique experience that let us barbecue our own delicious food. We chose beef and lamb, both were quite deliciously marinated.
I went to Baan during restaurant week and enjoyed an awesome deal. The food was delicious and fresh and the leechi martinis were great. Will go again during happy hour! The pork belly buns and wings were to die for!
We took family for their birthday/anniversary dinner during Restaurant Week on their visit to NYC. The entrees were big portions and very flavorful and we really liked the Omija Dragon for dessert. What we really enjoyed the most was the Mandu and the Beef Jap Chae. The restaurant read our OpenTable reservation and surprised with a happy birthday song, which she enjoyed. Would go again. Especially for that Jap Chae.
Although it was a different experience, (grilling at our table)we found the food to be too salty and the noise level high. The service was friendly and efficient.
Very fun dining experience being able to grill your own meat at your table. The food was all delicious and well prepared. I took about two hours for the entire dining experience the service was very good but my server seem to forget about me at the end. Not checking on me for about 45 minutes. Whatever soon as I alerted another waiter he was able to get me my check. We’re dine here again
2nd visit was as great as the first. Food was delicious and had plenty of gluten-free options for me.
This place is a lot smaller than I anticipated. I also felt the decor would be more "date-night-ish" Went during restaurant week and ordered Korean BBQ for our main course where we cooked our own food at the table. The meat was well seasoned. We did not feel rushed, the staff were good and overall I enjoyed my experience. The only thing that sucked was the bathroom was extremely filthy.
The food was very tasty. The service was good. I’d definitely recommend it.
Excellent food overall, and pleasant service, but sooooooooooooooooooo noisy.
Food and service were good. I dined on a hot summer afternoon and there were standing fans all over dining room and it didn’t feel like they had AC. Neither a good look nor a good feel.
Excellent and authentic food in the theater district. Was great to escape all the crowded mainstream options. We will be back!
The new menus have the same items in a format that is more elegant, easy-to-read, and description. The quality of the physical menus is as good as the always excellent food and service! Thanks Yuri!
