Bankvale Run

An overall great experience. The gnocchi was delicious. People attending to us were pleasant, however not around to ask if we wanted another drink. We had to request a dessert menu and waited too long to be asked if we wanted to order. The view was magnificent. I’ll definitely be returning.

lovely location, food was ordinary, had better elsewhere for less money. Service was appalling. Didn't appear to have a dedicated waiter. Dirty plates left on the table for nearly an hour, half the table cleared at that point, had to ask 15 minutes later for the rest to be cleared. An hour after eating main meal had to ask at counter for dessert menu and 20 minutes later had to ask someone to take our dessert order. Half the table didn't get their drinks and had to repeatedly ask for them and re-order.
Really need to address this as is totally spoilt my mothers 80th birthday. We said we were taking her someone posh, and she said she got better service at the pub in Wallan.
Has all the makings of somewhere special, just need to address with table service issues.

A beautiful place on earth, it is a lovely place to celebrate any occasion and take guest from all over to see.

Went for dinner on Saturday night as a table of 6. The food and service was excellent. Five of the six of us had steaks & everyone commented on how good they were. Also the deserts were some of the best I have eaten. Definitely recommend Bankvale Run

The food We had was really good. We had the share platter for all 3 courses. The others had oysters which were very good, steaks which were superb and sticky date pudding was great. The only downside was the chips and salad that accompany the steaks. Average at best. There must be better options available. Overall it was a very good experience.

Heard a lot about this restaurant. It certainly lived up to expect ions. Great food and service. The views just set the scene for a wonderful celebration.

I booked this place for my husband's surprise birthday breakfast. It was our first time ever to this restaurant. We both fell in love with the ambience, spectacular view. Staff is extremely welcoming and food is top notch. We ended up booking a table for dinner the same night and had an amazing time over dinner. We are definitely going back.

Beautiful scenery and lovely food. Returned within a few days to try the new breakfast menu, and was very happy!

Brought family members here for a belated birthday lunch. While pricey, all items ordered were Quality and the service was excellent. Will recommend to others and will return again ourselves.

Very nice experience portions could be bigger but other from that an excellent restaurant.

Clearly this place does not know it's market.
Did speak with the manager about the experience, he agreed with my comments.
Would expect a lot better from a winery.
Since when is a piece of steak, some lettuce leaves and some chips a meal.

It was my son's birthday 10th January so we went with our family for dinner. The food was delicious and the service was just as good. This is my 4th time here and certainly not my last! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys good food an appreciates great service.

Do yourself a favour and make a booking. You won't be disappointed.

We had a family catch up for Lunch on the 9/1 and it was lovely would the background music was a bit too loud to be able to talk easily, I would also like to see a couple of vegan options or the ability to select some sides to combine as a main, Otherwise lovely views and great food.

Wow what a fantastic place!! Restaurant service was A1 our waitress, was great and the views were amazing. Thanks to the perfect sunset we enjoyed. We’ll be back for sure.

Our waitress Anna was outstanding. She looked after us exceptionally well & nothing was too much trouble ( ie non-alcoholic alternative drink to beer & champagne offer with sunset dinner), amongst other things. The food was lively. The Mezzo platter was very well put together with extra bread on offer. The steak we had for dinner was medium rate & cooked to perfection. The chili seafood linguini was lovely too! We will definitely be back!

We have now dined at Banksia several times and each time have been thrilled with the service and quality of our food. Watching the sunset just adds a whole other dimension to a great experience.

We’re regulars at Bankvale and always thoroughly enjoy our food, although the oysters weren’t as fresh as normal this time. The view is spectacular and the customer service generally very good, although this time our mains were forgotten about after entrees and we had to ask for them 45 minutes after finish entrees. Still highly recommend! Such a beautiful restaurant

Very disappointed with this restaurant. The staff didnt seem to know what to do next and certainly not value for money.

All disjointed with taking order and drinks. It was like they had just opened. The place itself is lovely and in a great position with fantastic views.

The view was amazing as were the grounds that you could walk around. The food was delicious and the staff were very attentive and helpful!!

This is the second time I’ve visited this venue. On this occasion I was disappointed with the food. I had the Vietnamese salad which was tasty enough but it was essentially a big bowl of cabbage - too much of the same thing. The service wasn’t great despite the wait staff being super nice and polite. It just took too long to get our drinks. Over 1/2 an hour to get a bottle of wine. How hard can it be - I don’t care how busy it is - 1/2 hour for a drink that requires no preparation is just not good enough. In fact if it didn’t take so long we would have ordered a second bottle. The entrees came out before the drinks!!! We were in a group of 12 - it just didn’t feel like the staff have got it together. Such a shame as it’s a gorgeous venue - I hope the restaurant gets its act together as the views are sensational and I’d love to go back. I may give it one more try but won’t be recommending it to others at this stage .
