The view from this restaurant was beautiful and the restaurant set out was attractive. My husband and I had a casual Friday lunch. Unfortunately some of the staff were slow and inexperienced. I asked one staff member what the special was but she didn’t know. I asked another how much the special was she didn’t know both offered to find out however. The staff didn’t know if there was wine tasting or when that would be available. The food was presented well and quite tasty but very minimalist. Service was very slow so I gave this feedback at the register when asked how everything was, the waitress then just advised that they were very busy.
I am not sure how long this restaurant has been open so it might improve over time, it certainly has huge potential.

Food was delicious, views amazing and service reasonable. Very busy so noise levels were high making it hard to have a decent conversation. Will definitely return.

Went for a christmas catch up with a couple of friends. We all felt that the scenery and style of the place was tranquil & just plain beautiful. The food was great & the staff quite friendly. I had driven past the place a few times and had wanted to go. I was not disappointed. It was exceptional. Could have sat there outside all day long and just enjoyed the view and atmosphere of the place

We had to ask to be served for food and we had to get up and order our own drinks even though they have full table service. Most of their reviews talk about poor service, so which part about bad service don't they understand. The staff treat the guests the same as bunnings staff treat their customers. they do not make eye contact with you when they walk past your table, they need training desperately.

Upon arriving we were handed a menu that was ripped and stained. We waited 15mins until someone came up to ask if we would like a drink. Had to ask for wine list . Then we had to wait about 20 mins until our food order was taken. Food was lovely and view spectacular. Staff was very helpful. Bit disappointed no specials for the day, been before and had them.

Amazing looking venue with spectacular views. The waiter was lovely and attentive for most of the evening. We ordered drinks straight away and soon after some starters. Unfortunately we ate the starters before first round of drinks arrived, which was almost an hour later. The slow drink service continued throughout the evening-we even resorted to ordering two drinks at a time. Some drinks came in appropriate glassware. Seven of us had steak-most were cooked to our liking but two were over done and there was also confusion with some orders upon serving. I had also specially asked for cake of the day with candle over the phone and in restaurant for husbands birthday-no candle in cake. Finally we were not offered any tea/coffee at the end of the night even though we’d had dessert. Wish I could say less negative comments as was so looking forward to this night with friends. Beautiful venue but drink service needs to up its game if I was to return.

Enjoyed a Saturday lunch, corner table with excellent views all around, food was nice, rosemary polenta chips and the arancini balls for entrée were great - soft shell crab burger was a hit however the fish and chip main wasn't so great. Overall excellent service, great place for lunch, will definitely return and looking forward to the cellar door experience when it opens.

Food was excellent. Views were amazing. Service was very friendly. My only suggestion would be that staff return to tables to offer dessert, coffee, more drinks, etc. I have been to Bankvale Run 3 times now and on each occasion have found it difficult to get staff attention to order more drinks, dessert, coffee. In fact on each occasion staff didn't return to our table after our main meal was served unless they were called over and even then it was hard to get their attention to come to the table due to there not being enough staff to diners. However, the staff themselves were very friendly.

We were placed next to a large and noisy group which whilst we appreciate this isnt the fault of the restaurant clearly no thought had gone into the placing of the tables.

Service was poor all night. First drinks took 20 minutes to arrive, a number of items were brought incorrectly and there was no enthusiasm from the staff

Wont be going back which is a pity because the location and views are fantastic

We enjoyed everything we ate for lunch last Sunday, but as we had 3 celiac family members and our booking was not until 1.15pm when we got there we discovered that all the pizza celiac bases were gone and that there was not really much else available on the menu other than a pizza for a child.

The reason we booked with you in the first place was that one of my daughters had been there several times before and recommended it to us, especially as you had gf options.

The restaurant itself is beautiful and the scenery is to die for. However, the noise level was quite high and when you are trying to catch up with family members or friends it was hard to do so.

We will come back (as my husband and I are not the clients who need gf) but would check first if gf is going to be available before visiting for a meal again.
