Bankvale Run

The menu changed, but the food still taste great! This is our fourth time at the restaurant.

My wife and i have been here 5 times, this time we arrived @ 7pm, were taken to a seat and told a waitress would be looking after us, after about 15 min and watching 2 other tables being seated and given drinks i caught the eye of a waiter and said we would like some drinks, he was apologetic and took our food and drink order, meal did not take too long and was OK. We were going to have a desert but no waiter came near us, we sat for another 10 min and decided to leave, not a good experience, don't think we will be going back.

The food was good, but took too long for our mains to come out ( 1.5hrs after seationg ) and we had to ask for our mains, it looks like there were sitting there ( maybe the got the tables mixed up ) and as soon as we asked, they arrived

Very noisy, my steak was lovely but only warm, a hair in my chips, salt shaker had a P on it, wife’s sticky date dry and not a nice taste. Offered complementary sweets and drinks, but charged for the 2 coffees!!!! Not convinced to return. Had been before new owners.

Very impressed with the venue we had a great time and the views are amazing. We requested a window seat and your staff managed to get that done for us. Parking is excellent. The air conditioner was a little bit cold though. Prices are a little bit expensive but we all were very happy with our meals.
Everything is very clean and of a high standard. Look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Enjoyed everything about the actual lunch but rang 3 times over a couple of days to try to make the booking, left my number but nobody called me back, finally made a booking online after several tries as the online booking service did not work, but by the time this all happened the only time available for lunch was 2hours later than our original request

Amazing restaurant, already planning my next trip. Food was sensational and service great.

We are frequent diners at Bankvale Run but we certainly noticed a real difference in the service time. Our meals were ordered & on the table within 10 minutes. Our waitress was very efficient. We sat over 2 hours talking to our friends by which is time the noise level was much better. We loved the new menu. Congrats to your new team. Brilliant 😍

I think the venue is amazing but the food hasn't lived up I have been there 3 times for breaky and Every time there has been an issue with food, not cooked enough pancakes , food missing or not what was requested and cold food. Food is average but prices say other wise.

Beautiful place with a nice view and good food and service . There was a mix up with our table but they rectified it and were apologetic . Waitress and waiter were friendly.

Service was terrible..had to approach the waiters each time and the manager. Had to wait 1 HOUR! From entree's for our steaks, came to the table incorrect with chips scaterred over the plate..had to be taken back because my husband is a coeliac and we specifically requested gluten free!. Dessert was appalling..creme brulee was liquid..not set at all!. For all the trouble and after spending $230..$30 was taken off the bill. Expectations were high and this was a major let down from A to B, only positive was the atmosphere and scenery. Would not recommend to anyone and have since changed future dinner plans with friends which were gonna be at bankvale since it is only 5 minutes from home.

We eat here all the time and love it. During this sitting however we waited over an hour and 20 minutes for our main course which was slightly dissapointing. Although we appreciate that you were busy there were other people who had come in much after us getting their food well before us.

Our server Renee was fantastic - did everything she could in a timely manner and was really happy and bubbly.

We will dine with you guys again as we usually get excellent service and the food is always of the highest quality, hopefully this doesn’t happen again! Thank-you.

This is a great place but perhaps too over crowded on Valentines Day. Had to sit in smaller area off main dining room but the service and food made up for inconvenience.

Food was delicious, however we waited a long time to order and then a long time for our entree to come, a long time for the plates to be cleared and then a long time for our main meal- it was an hour and a half from arriving to getting our main meals. It was hard to order drinks as waitresses didn't come to the table and walked quickly past without making eye contact. Service was really disappointing for the price we paid. In saying that the staff were all lovely and friendly

I chose Bankvale run as my destination of choice to take my girlfriend out for a lovely Valentines dinner.
The views from our window seat were absolutely spectacular on a perfect summer evening.
Staff were prompt drinks, entree & main arrived in a timely manner.
My only criticism was that as the restaurant began to fill around 7:15pm it became quite apparent that front & back of house staff could not cope. We waited 1hr for our dessert to arrive! Our waitress was apologetic and removed the items from the bill.
To cap off the evening, my girlfriend and I took a walk around the estate. We located a beautiful secluded ceremonial garden near the main residence. It was at this location that I proposed. We are both very happily engaged :)
We will return soon I'm sure !

Overall it was all good I been there several time and I will still keep on coming as this may have been a once off occurrence. However my meal I had a stake, the stake had to much fat could not eat it, left more than half, as for the coffee's due to the dish washer being broken we had to stir our coffees with a straw and deserts we had to wait for spoon as there were none available.

ps: I can understand if the dish washer is broken, you cannot foresee events like this, and spoons weren't available. However when serving a client please wait that extra few seconds or minute and serve the coffee's and desert to a client when spoons are available, not that you serve the desert and tell a client to wait spoon will be available soon.

Not professional.

Steak was dry and tough. Had no flavour and seasoning on steak. Been here 3 times now. Very dissapointed with this visit. Bring back the mushroom sauce. Was mums 70 birthday and she couldn't even eat her dry,dry steak. Not happy.

The serves of food, especially the burgers that the guys ordered, were very small so it was lucky that we ordered an entree to begin with. The guys said that the burgers were nothing special. Our soba salad was very nice but could have done with more salad as it was pretty much noodles and chicken. We were also not aware when booking that we only had a limited time before we had to vacate the table. The views were spectacular.

I really enjoyed my meal but I was awake all night with stomach pain and my dinner was still repeating on me the next day. The restaurant was extremely noisy as our table was put in a corner next to a large party of diners.

Found a new place for weekend brunch! Amazing view and food!

Magnificent from the moment we walked in... we were greeted by our host Anna who was amazing and provided excellent service and enhanced our experience... my family were blown away by the food, the venue and the service...

The ambiance is okay...it could be a big more subdued ...

We sat next to some children who were very loud and active. Spoilt it a bit.

Great views and best restaurant around. That's because it's the only restaurant around.

This is my 6th time that I have been to this restaurant. I have taken many friends & family members which have been impressed. The views are magnificent. The restaurant from the food to the service is fantastic. To Vince and the crew - job well done!

I have booked again for 4 more dinners/lunch within the next two months. I look forward to it.

Beautiful place, lovely view, even nicer staff. Food is amazing, it's more of a 'special occasions' place as it is a little more on the expensive side, but everything is cooked to perfection so it doesn't matter. Try and ask for a table seat when booking in advance and go before sunset, the views are to die for. So gorgeous for a place not too far away from anything! You expect wineries to be way way out, this is truly a gem. Will be back more than the 2 times I have been there, highly recommended.

Had lunch for my son's birthday,totally enjoyed the food. Cooked to perfection, juicy steak. Very nice view from our dining table.and well maintained garden. Will definitely come back again. Service was excellent

I have been to Bankvale Run a few times now and have enjoyed each visit. The food is very nice and is good value. The view is the stand out, you won't see many views like this in the world, the best time to go is dinner when the sun begins to set. I would recommend the steak and the Polenta chips.
