About this restaurant

  • Charming
  • Good for groups
  • Neighbourhood gem
A legendary Indonesian restaurant in central London, established in 1986.

Bali Bali is one of the UK’s longest-standing destinations for authentic Indonesian and Balinese cuisine. Our experienced chefs craft signature dishes such as slow-cooked beef rendang, nasi goreng, and grilled satay using traditional spices and premium ingredients. Known for its halal-friendly menu, Bali Bali is a favourite among both locals and international visitors.

Ideally located near Covent Garden and The Strand, it’s perfect for pre-theatre dining, date nights, and group bookings.

The atmosphere is warm, stylish, and intimate, blending subtle tropical touches with modern elegance. With limited seating and a loyal following built over decades, Bali Bali remains a must-visit for those seeking authentic Indonesian food in London.

Reservations are highly recommended.

Outstanding nosh in a frindly noshery: rendang succulent and spicy, garlic chicken crunchy, sayur lodeh perfectly cooked veggies in an aromatic broth and those tiny fish in a peanut and chilli sauce - wow! Definitely coming back next time I'm in London.

Small restaurant, great dining experience. The food tasted great, very authentic. Staff are very friendly and attentive. We were a party of 3, had a drink each, shared 2 starters, a rice dish, noodles, 2 nonveg mains and 1 veg. Came up to 130 odd, so it was reasonably priced too.

Just 5minutes walk from Leicester Square station. Nicely air-coned, clean restaurant. Reasonable price but good quality and tasty Indonetian food. Special starter for 2 has a good variety and big portions of fried food. Nice wine and big variety of menu. We will come back again!

Have been here on numerous occasions and the quality of the food and the quality of service is always excellent and welcoming. The standards have not slipped and the newer members of my party were blown away. Food was prepared quiickly, which is essential at the pre show time of day. They even rearranged tables to add on two additional last minute guests as our party swelled from 6 to 8
