Baker's American Bar & Grille
You can’t beat Tuesday hamburger night.
I am gluten-free, and the menu didn't have too many choices for me, but I ordered one of the fish specials and the waiter swapped out the breaded-and-fried vegetable for something plainer that I could handle. Everything was cooked very well and delicious. My friend had the meatloaf, which she also enjoyed very much.
Dined with the kids on Tuesday BOGO burger night. Server was very personable and attentive. Food was quite slow coming out on a night when there were very few in the place. However everything was hot and tasty which made the wait acceptable. Good for a casual bite.
Really enjoyed this upscale roadside tavern! Lived the pizza and the burgers. Service was prompt and prices quite reasonable. Will definitely return!
How do you screw up a cheddar cheese burger. We ordered two of them medium well. When they finally came out it was medium rare. The waitress took the burgers back into the kitchen and it stead of giving us two new ones they put the undercooked burgets back on the grill. BTW we did cut the burgers in half so they put food that we cut back on the grill with other patrons food. Also when we finally got our reheated burgers the buns were ice cold and stale. The did try to compisate us with free dessert and coffee but who wants that since they can't cook a burger correctly. This place with Moores are going down hill quickly if they don't figure out what they're doing in the kitchen. Tommy's in Freehold maybe pricey but there food is always delicious and on point.
This is a perfect restaurant for what it is a sports bar. The wings were great, great beer selection
The service was terrible. My mother’s 74 birthday and she spills her drink after a sip and the waiter is nowhere to be found. Had to clean the table ourselves. When i was able to track down the waiter he was told what happened. He brought a replacement drink but charged us for the original anyway. Could not be found most of the night when we needed more drinks and had to go to the bar to get our own. Food was ok but took a very long time to come (especially the appetizers). Was not in a rush so that was ok, but the terrible service put a damper on what could have been a much better night.
Always a great time! Burgers are the best I’ve ever had. Service by staff is top notch, especially Sylvio and Lara!!!!
Prime rib was definitely cooked at one time and microwaved before coming to the table.
The crab sandwich special - they should be ashamed - there wasn't an ounce of crab meat on the skimpy and tough crusted crab.
Service was good.
Great time to help
Mom celebrate 80th. Jamison was awesome very helpful
Was not impressed by the food or
It was a nice neighborhood bar/restaurant. Burgers were tasty. Ordered bisque and it was cold and gelatinous but waitress took it back and brought back a fresh batch. Overall it was fine.
Would recommend for burgers. Our group ordered 4 prime ribs but they only had regular and 3 end cuts left. One regular came out with half of it being a blob of fat. I must say the manager did the right thing and took it off the bill. Our other meals were ok, nothing great. I’ve been here before and had better food. Our waitress, Lara, was very nice and attentive.
It is a fabulous place for a casual dinner and Hapoy Hour!
Service was great.
Food was very tasty.
Good beer and drink options.
Ambiance is casual and relaxed.
Great food, nice people. We stop here 3 times a year after a trip to Gaskovs farm. Burgers, salads, even personal pizzas consistantly good. A great lunch stop.
Sat at the high tops with our kids. Food was good and place was jamming. Will def go back!
Our waitress Sara was absolutely super and handled the 8 of us (hungry from a day at Six Flags) with care and a smile!
If you are in the mood for a pub, Baker's Grill is for you. The hamburgers and other basics are good and the service excellent.
Just don't go there if you're looking for a quiet dinner!
The waitress seemed inexperienced. She completely forgot my husband French Onion soup. We had to remind her and then it was too late. We all had the Sunday Special of prime rib. I ordered mine medium rare and it was bloody and dripping fat.
A suggestion would be to describe the level of how you want it cooked.
This place is always busy for good reason... there's no place that delivers an experience like they do in the general area... an excellent bar, friendly service, some excellent chow, tons of TVs for sporting events... in the football season they have every game! Was great that we could watch the Duke game in the NCAA tourney while enjoying some chow. They also have an aggressive happy hour that seems to draw a crowd.
I love the burgers here... excellent ground beef and grilled perfectly. The chili we tried was great, quesadilla just ok, wings pretty good, chicken fingers very good.
Hanna, our waitress, was excellent... fast, friendly and efficient.
It was a Friday night on St Patrick’s Day weekend so we expected the place to be jumping and loud. The food, as always, was excellent. I don’t know who the chef is but this is not ordinary pub food. Bakers is our “go to” place!
People were great and food was good, nice place. I want try to hit this place at Happy Hour when prices are less expensive for appetizers
Definitely going back. Only complaint was that I wasn’t told sweet potatoes fries were an extra charge. Other than that, excellent
Loved the food. Server was great!
Nice place. There were four of us who used to work together that meet every once in a while and this place seem to be central We were greeted right away and taken to our table our server was super nice and very attentive we all agreed our meals were great and that we would be back.
Love this cozy restaurant! The food is great and the servers are always friendly and upbeat. This place is a gem!
Nice interior space. Excellent waitress who had good suggestions and exceptional personality.
We went for New Years and was pleasantly surprised. The place was fairly empty. We had a very pleasant waiter. Many of the apps are $5-6 and delicious. We shared margarita pizza which had coal fired flavor and coconut shrimp which was crispy and moist. Afterwards, my husband ordered a steak salad and I had a crock of French onion soup. Again, both were delicious. A few minutes before midnight the hostess handed out party hats, tiaras, noise blowers and then champagne. We rang in the New Year with a toast and with others in the restaurant. We topped off the night with a warm brownie and vanilla ice cream. This was a very pleasant dining experience and would recommend it highly!
Had dinner with friends; the food was good, service fast and personable. They do not rush you and the ambiance is great.
