Wine was watered down. Tasted very stale and was overpriced. Will not return.
I was extremely disappointed in my experience at Baiting Hollow winery. I didn't realize when I made the reservation it was only for an hour and a half. $40 dollars for a bottle of wine once tip and tax is put in and a $50 cheese platter that was just okay. My party spent $150 for the hour and a half and had to leave. The band that was playing actually took a break after playing for only 30 minutes. I realize they are trying to keep everyone safe and do a thorough cleaning between parties so why couldn't the band take their break while the cleaning is going on?
I felt the whole experience was not worth $150 for 90 minutes. I have been to the winery on numerous occasions before COVID and was really looking forward to going back.
With covid rules not happy with being told to leave after an hour and a half. Nina was an excellent waitress
I liked the place beautiful and nice calming environment the only thing there was a lot of bees that were so annoying. The slushy amazing and flights the same. The food is amazing I brought my kids and they said it was kids friendly but we were the only family with kids. They took way the horses and they wouldn’t let you walk around just straight to the table and live entertainment.
It’s a good place to go out with your friend have a drink and head home. Be on time with your reservation cause you only have 1 hour and 30 minutes to be there before they kick you out.
Everything was perfect! Although we miss the horses, we will definitely be back! Delicious wines and cider, it was a perfect day. Thank you Baiting Hollow!
This has always been a favorite spot of ours. We were very glad and grateful to be back even though it was a little different from what we were accustomed to. You only get an hour and a half seating time to allow the staff time to clean and disinfect for the next group coming in. You have to have a reservation.
The menu is limited but that is to be expected as it was only the first day of public seating. We loved the wines that we tasted and brought home two growlers of delicious cherry cider. Cheese platter was overpriced but tasty. There was a guitar duo playing for our enjoyment and it was a very nice relaxing time. There is nothing like wine and music on a sunny day!
One thing I really missed though is the horses. We asked and were told that the new management did not want to go forward with the horse maintenance program. That is sad because the horse rescue was one of the things that set this winery apart from all the others in the area. I only hope those beautiful horses went to good homes.
Baiting Hollow just opened up after being closed. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the staff. Everyone was super friendly and attentive. They were following all COVID protocol and have a great system in place which includes temperature checks, tables are sanitized and spaced out. The ordering system is great. You scan a QR code to see menu, order, pay and tip with zero contact. The wine was ok, the hard cider was really good. I do think they can make the place look a little nicer. It really does have a farm fell where I feel like the seating area can be upgraded and made more appealing. Perhaps some flowers, plants, any sort of decor would help.
Love this vineyard! My favorite one in the area. The live music is a plus as it’s nice background music.
