It had been a couple years since we went here, and it was even better than I remembered. We were there on a Sunday evening, so the restaurant was close to empty, so very low noise levels, and very personalized service. The owner even came out to greet us, remembering us from when the restaurant was located in Mount Airy. The food was excellent for a neighborhood restaurant, and the guests we brought were suitably impressed.
We arrived on time for our reservation and had to wait about 20 minutes as table was not ready. When we were seated I noticed several tables were ready. So we were kept needlessly waiting and I was not thrilled with that. Out waiter had an Italian accent and had some problem understanding. When I asked him to repeat he was very obviously miffed with me and gave an attitude. The other wait staff were excellent so I was pleased

New waiter who was very nice but a little lacking is why rating wasn’t outstanding. The food was excelllent and serving were not skimpy so the value was also excellent .

Excellent service, nice ambiance, good food and an enjoyable sound track of classics to accompany it all. I had a well made veal marsala that was sizable- I took half if it home. My husband enjoyed his mussels fra diavlo and lasagna. We will return.
Wonderful meal! The waitstaff was attentive. The other diners were spaced out comfortably in the dining room. We had calamari as an appetizer as well as some broccoli rabe. Both were hot and delicious! We all had the amazing eggplant parmigiana for entrees. It is my favorite dish on their menu and it never disappoints.
Great food, wonderful service. Jay, the chef/owner is a fabulous cook. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Highly recommend, we went on a Thursdday. Just know all food is cooked to order so if you go prime time(Sat or Friday) be prepared to wait a bit, it is worth it.

WOW!!! I’ve driven by Bacio countless times. It’s very unassuming. Nothing about the place screams, “Dine here!!”, so I never did, just passed the place by.
Last night, Saturday, Oct. 2, I went onto Open table to find reservations somewhere for 5 of us at 6 p.m. and could only find 1 that was anywhere close; Bacio. So we “settled” and went. We were immediately greeted and sat. We ordered drinks, which arrived very promptly and then we were brought a complimentary tomato salad. It was the best thing I’ve ever eaten. I’m baffled at how anything could taste that good. How?? Then my meat lasagna came out. Hands down the best lasagne I’ve ever had, by far. The marinara was pure heaven and the meat and cheese and the rest of whatever they did to craft that amazing dish was sheer magic. My kids, who can be picky with food LOVED what they got!
Our waiter, James, was fun and kind and very attentive. He made us feel welcome and glad that we were there. The rest of the staff were super nice. The place is a “hidden” gem. We’ve found our favorite restaurant. Thank you, James and the rest of the Bacio team for an amazing experience!!!
We went to Bacio to celebrate our anniversary. The food was good, but you didn't get much for the price. There was only one waiter in the whole place, so we waited a long time for everything. He never asked us about dessert or mentioned our anniversary. I understand he was busy. There was cold air blowing the whole time so I was uncomfortable.
An absolute gem. An array of elegantly prepared, delicious, healthful food at extremely reasonable prices. The chef will go out of his way to accommodate special dietary requests.

This restaurant has potential. The food lacked good authentic flavors and complexity. Weak. Ps- capers are an accent and should not overpower the dish. Also, nowhere on their website does it state BYOB.
We have been to this restaurant many times and it has good Italian food. It’s drawback is that the chefs never manage the timing of courses. On previous occasions, we would get our main meal right on top of the appetizer. This time, we waited 45 minutes between appetizer and main meal. The food is good, so we just put up with this.

Went there early before movie. Everything was so tasty and staff so attentive. They must have overheard my rudeness of wishing that pasta came with my dish, and promptly brought some out for me. Big portions, prepare to bring some home. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for Italian food with authentic flavor!
All of the food we ordered was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! I was delight my surprised as it my first time there as well as my family. Our waiter was sweet, informative and attentive. The calamari was SO GOOD and the gravy to dip it in was the best I’ve ever tasted. The Sweet potato gnocchi with Gorgonzola cream sauce will be in my dreams - my new favorite dish is their Chicken Marsala - CHEFS KISS!!! Will be coming back for all special occasions :)

In the past, I have ordered and loved the Fra Diablo mussels. Last night, they were so so. The sauce was thicker and not as spicy as I remembered; additionally, there wasn't much of it. The mussels were rather large, which I understand in that they are a living shellfish and it depends on many things as to their size upon purchasing them. Other than that, my husband loved his veal piccata and I thought the special of grilled romaine w/ blue cheese was divine. Our waiter, Sebastian, was as always wonderful. He was attentive, personable, and just an all-around great waiter. Thx. We will return.

I would highly recommended this neighborhood gem! The only disappointment was their website said they had a full bar but they only had wine. If we knew it was a byo we would have brought some ! They should clarify this now on their website and on open table. Food was delicious and the waiter was wonderful. We will come back and recommend to others.😄

Had a great meal& time. Ordered the cod fish with capers .. delicious. My friend ordered the veal parmigiana and had leftovers. The waiter James was the best! He gave us dessert on the house for having the table with the most personality…. Definitely returning 😊

Nice atmosphere. The service was friendly, but understaffed. The wine list was limited. Apparently, you can bring BYOB (we didn't know), and you should. Our entrees (shrimp scampi and branzino) were excellent. But the broccoli rabe appetizer (sour) and over-cooked roasted cauliflower head were not. The gluten-free pasta was a plus for us, but it came already smothered in tomato sauce, and pasta is the only starch option. The restaurant does not offer potatoes, risotto, or polenta, which would frankly be preferable for us. Bottom line: Nice atmosphere, friendly but over-stretched service, limited wine, uneven food. Your experience may differ.

The four of us are long time customers of Bacio, and had not visited recently because of the Pandemic. We were happy to see, it is still one of the best Italian Restaurants in the entire Philadelphia, metropolitan area. My wiife and the other lady had the claim bake which was they stated absolutely delicious. I had one of Jay's specialties, Egg Plant Parm, which was as good as I remembered. All in all a wonderful expeience.
