Atrium - Crown Perth Ratings and Reviews
Food and atmosphere was good. Always good value for money.
Was not happy with the customer service when I called about my booking. I book for 5 people and needed to add an extra one person to the booking. I was told that the whole dinning area was fully booked out and was not able to add the extra person. To my surprise when I rocked up for dinner there were multiple of empty tables that could have entertain the number of guest I needed for my bookings. Not really impressed.
On this occasion the food was very underwhelming. The snapper was very dry as well as the roast meats. There was not a lot that I enjoyed which was very disappointing. The fried fish with the sweet corn sauce was very chewy with not much flavour. The mash potato also tasted very floury and pastey.
I attended with 3 boys aged 11-12. After a stern warning about only taking small servings (no wasting food) & to watch out for other people, I let the boys have their independence.
They loved the opportunity to choose their own food, especially the dessert bar. The food had good variety, especially the Asian section. My only comment is that more green veggies would be appreciated (the boys struggled to meet my veggie criteria)
The staff were excellent & treated the boys with courtesy & respect
We made a mistake in choosing the Atrium Buffet for dinner before taking the kids to see Matilda on a Sunday evening. We had less than an hour to eat as the restaurant was not prompt in opening at 5.30 (show starting at 6.30). At $75 ea adult and $75 for our 13 yr old vegetarian daughter, then $37.50 for the 12 yr old (extra for drinks) it was not good value, and we regretted our decision to dine there.
For $75.00 a head, definitely not what I was expecting, limited options available for food, nothing great that stood out either, most of what we ate was nice and fresh/hot,also noisy seating areas, they mix big groups of '21st party's' near small families & people without children, food tasted good but you could easily get that at a restaurant that costs half the price with drinks included. Most probably wouldn't dine here again unless there was a major special on.
I thought that booking a table in advance would get us a better spot, but we were put in the far back corner right next to the bar. This did not give us better acces to ordering drinks as the staff tend to try and avoid eye contact at all costs.
The meat at the carvery station was fatty, dim sum options weren't great, crab didn't seem fresh - was quite rubbery. The only good thing was the dessert selections
I really think the Atrium could do with a bit of an overhaul, its starting to look a bit tired. The food is nice though and does cater to larger groups. But if you're looking for a table for two and a little secluded with a nice view, then you will be disappointed.
We took our 2 girls for High Tea as they had never been to one before. We were all made to feel welcome by the staff who were extremely attentive. The selection of both sweet and savoury was impressive and encouraged us all to try things we haven't had before. The scones were to die for, the macaroons were my daughters favourite, I think she ate 6, and I loved the chocolate fudge 🤤. We will definitely be returning 10/10
The Atrium is always a good place to eat. We stayed at the Crown and had breakfast booked, however we were told that because it was Easter Sunday they couldn't guarantee it wouldn't be booked out. So to make sure we were there between 8 and 9.
So we rushed down at 8:30 and it was extremely quiet the whole time we were there.
A bit disappointing as we were told we may not even get in and it was a little stressful.
Food was great though.
The Atrium used to be my go-to restaurant but it has definitely gone down hill. The food is nothing special and can be cooked at home. The dessert bar is exciting but nothing has labels which makes it really disappointing to bite into something only to realize you don't like it because the inside is actually liqueur. There's a long wait for table service for water and plates to be cleared.
I was disappointed in the limited food selection. It definitely wasn't worth the $200 I spent on myself and my three nephews. They said they preferred the jettys buffet! For example...in the roast selection there was carrots and potatoes and that's about it. Don't get me wrong, the food was nice but just not a lot of options.
We didn't really enjoy the experience. We had been here before and I remembered liking it so we decided to revisit over the Easter weekend. I found the drinks service to be very slow, taking about 15 minutes to get a drink. I thought the food quality was lacking and several of the food items were lukewarm not really hit enough. Maybe we just picked the wrong weekend but there were lines for the food and such a long line for dessert that we actually missed out on having the dessert we wanted,
Water glasses were filled at the start and stayed empty till approximately 1.5 hours later.
Wait Staff didn't listen or couldn't understand order?
Food variety was broad but nothing exceptional. We didn't have seafood but guessing if you like oysters buffet experience is good value for money.
I have been previously for breakfast / brunch and wasn't blown away but thought dinner could be better experience.
Plenty of better value restaurants out there. Won't ever bother again.
We dine at the Atrium every month or two. Last night there were 6 of us, including a child and a toddler. We were given a a table with a booth type chair which was great for the toddler. The food was exceptional, like always, but it's the service that keeps us coming back. The staff are amazing, they clear plates without you noticing and you never have to ask for a drink as they have made sure you are not without. The atmosphere is lovely and intimate. We have never had a bad experience.
Had requested quiet table at time of booking.. Shocked that they wanted to place us in thoroughfare of people coming and going, so requested another table. Although an alternative table was given us, it had already soured our experience and we felt awkward. Add to that no one came near us after we managed to order one drink. So no tea, coffee and we were not about to chase wait staff who ignored us. Leaving all that aside, it was a treat for us to have the opportunity to eat there.
Great food choices from western, Asian to Indian styles and many appetisers also not forgetting deserts. Love the fact that we were able to have those choices and as a family to enjoy a meal. Loved the deal as we had five family members and it was reasonably affordable.
Despite booking three weeks before the dinner we were shown to our table which consisted of two tables being hurriedly shoved together in front of us. We were sat right in front of the dessert buffet which is the busiest spot in the restaurant despite having a booking and there being empty tables elsewhere in the restaurant. Drink order took over ten minutes to arrive and we were not approached again for a further order. Complained when we paid but were given the brush off. Will not be back!
The food was presented and laid out to entice you to come and try. I liked how the chefs were on hand if you weren't quite sure about something. Everything that I had was top notch! Very tasty. Will most definetly be bringing my overnseasebvisitors here when come to see a show ☺️
All those Chinese chefs and they can't make dim sum? Would be a lot better if they bought in simple dim sum/yumcha chef. Simple Har gow simple sui mai-short soup or even fried wonton or spring roll added! The Asian section should be first class. The pork buns are empty. Your dumplings Taste like you bought them frozen from Coles. All those Asian chefs and no real Asian what a waste . Add BBQ pork/roast pork/duck you could add egg tart to the buffet. The western side is great. Asian needs work.
Ordered cocktails and had to request straws as they were placed on the table without. Roast beef and pork, roast veg was lukewarm. Bread sitting in the buffet uncovered along with the prosciutto. certainly would not rush back considering previous experience has been somewhat better.
