Atrium - Crown Perth Ratings and Reviews
For me it didn't live up to the hype. For $75 per person I expected better quality food. Most of the hot dishes were only warm and by the time you got back to the table they were almost cold. Some of the meats were tough and flavours were indistinct.
While there were lots of choices many of the dishes were nearly empty and took some time to fill - so kept waiting.
Majority of food was either cold or barely warm. One tiny toaster that didnt really work properly which created a massive line because you needed to put the bread in at least twice for it to toast. One cook manning the egg station created huge lines as well. For the price of the buffet it was quite disappointing.
The variety of food was great but the standard of food appears to have declined since our last visit.
The curries were not impressive and the roast was dry.
The waiter forgot to top up our table water despite asking twice.
It was very crowded and almost felt like a food court at the peak of the service.
Booked the Atrium as I was staying in the hotel and wanted to celebrate my Grandmothers 64th. This was noted when booking yet no attention was paid to it our entire meal. From all the survey questions one would assume you were assigned a waiter, the only waiter who even approached our table was the one who directed us to it.
Instead the waiters stood around having private conversation and ignoring customers on nearby tables wish to order drinks or ask questions. Was quite comical to watch.
Food was okay. It used to be much better. There wasn't as many options as there had been previously. It feels like since the opening of the Epicurean the Atrium has really been let go. While still nice it was definetly NOT worth $65 per person. I used to love this place but will probably never return, unless there is a price drop.
Atrium is our favourite restaurant for family celebrations. The staff are friendly and efficient. We've been constant customers for 5 years now. Lately, we've noticed that some of the Asian dishes are becoming too salty. The soft shell crab is the winning dish for me.
We booked a table for Mother's Day brunch at the buffet, the service was great, the food was bountiful and the atmosphere allowed us all to talk freely and enjoy company. There were a lot of families dining together and larger groups booked in - I would highly recommend the venue
Chose Atrium because the buffet has a good reputation for its variety and we were entertaining friends from Melbourne and not sure what they would like to eat. The buffet is certainly large and caters for most tastes but sometimes quality is better than quantity. Cold seafood was very good cooked seafood a bit overdone....Indian curry, Dahl etc overall good .....roast and veg pretty ordinary but meat tender....Italian average...Chinese average but dim sum very disappointing. Dessert average.
The staff were wonderful and very helpful,The overall experience was very nice and enjoyable. Some of the food on offer was average and I thought they started packing up earlier than they should've-we were in the 8 pm to 10 pm booking and they were starting to pack somethings up at 9.30 pm
We went there as an early mothers day dinner on a Thursday night. At $65 a head I thought that's a lot of food to eat to get your moneys worth. But upon walking in and walking past the dessert bar, I knew the food was going to be good, and it did not disappoint. So much variety and that dessert bar! WOW! The staff were wonderful, very attentive and polite, and clearing plates within minutes of them being emptied. Quality of food, great, variety of food, great, staff were wonderful as well.
To be honest was extremely disappointed! Being a buffet you look forward to trying different things but nothing there was worth $65 per person. Most of the dishes were cold or look like they were sitting there for quiet some time. When I asked about the wine the lady was lovely but said she couldn't tell me if there was a sweet wine on the menu, she could have at least gone and asked the bar tender. The service was lovely just a shame that the food didn't reflect that!
The experience was disappointing. The hot food was especially below par, with dry and crumbly curry puffs, oily quiches, supermarket style sausage rolls and a average selection of savoury finger foods. The service team ran out of glasses and we were left waiting for the complimentary champagne and used plates also built up on the table.
Waitresscame to pick up plates when we still were eating, even I put my fork and knife in appropriate position that I still eating.
Also a waitress forgot to bring a cap of tee when I was asking her.
The other thing was good.
The food was delicious. This place is very good for breakfast.
