Overall very good, server was excellent food was delicious
Great service from all staff. Food was great, and can’t beat the atmosphere.
I believe there were only two servers during this time. It was quite unfortunate that the lady we had wasn’t as attentive as how we should like. We asked for salt but then she forgot, thus, our steak turning cold. Our drinks were late as well. Although, she did apologize, it would have been better if we had the full service and food experience. Thursdays seemed to be a much better experience, especially with their 50% off seafood and we didnt have a reservation then. Whoever served us on a Thursday was great, this one though, needed improvement.
Just a little loud from the casino but otherwise was good.
Slow to get initial service and drinks. Food came out super fast though and was quite good.
Always a favour place to go to before an event at Rogers. We tried the Caesar salad this time and then I had prawns which were huge! Love all the food there!
Overall an OK place to eat but will only go when there is a "special" as the cost is quite high. Found that the service was very slow for drinks and also for extra items ie: sauce.
From the outset rush making the game service was impeccable; our server Brooke kind/professional, culinary excellence throughout as expected 10 out 10. Many thanks - Constantin Jr.
They gave us our dinner very quickly. I understand there was a hockey game that night but it would have been nice to have a drink and talk a bit before our main course showed up. Service was amazing and ambience was very nice. The piano player was really good! It was my birthday and I didn’t get anything for celebrating (free dessert etc) so that was a bit of a disappointment too.
My wife and i were celebrating our 41st. Anniversary at the restaurant.
We were very happy with the service we receiver from Eric and it was nice talking with him. The food was good, timing was a bit quick as i can understand though it was a hockey game night and i am sure things get hectic.
Over all it was a great evening and Eric was outstanding.
Not impressed at all. It’s been a year since we were last here due to poor quality of food and it’s clear nothing has changed. Well maybe things have i do believe it’s got worst. The only flavour everything has is the taste of gas
Always good delicious food great service receptionist was outstanding providing me the WiFi password great girl
Overall service was good food I love Thursday sea food special
Extremely disappointed with our experience at Atlas. This was a business meeting/meal. We arrived 1.5 hours prior to game time and had to leave because we had yet to receive our meals before the game started.
It took over 90 minutes to get our food. We missed the beginning of the hockey game! Eventhough once we finally recieved our food it was excellent, the poorly run kitchen totally ruined our night. The manager never came to our table to speak to us personally. Unfortunately we will never be back.
We have been here before and normally its been great. We came this time before the elton john concert, booking 2 hrs before the show was to start. We informed our server that we wanted to order quickly because we were going to the show. Everything seemed slow and took awhile. Our dinner took an exceptionally long time and we ended up having to cancel our order because we were going to be late to the show. So we never even got to eat our dinner which was pretty disappointing. This is especially surprising since this restaurant is known for serving crowds going to events so I’m surprised it was so slow.
I’ve been to this restaurant 4 or 5 times in the past and wanted to have some close friends of mine, that are from out of town, to experience and enjoy. I made reservations in June for the Elton John concert and was disappointed. When we arrived the young lady couldn’t find our rest but got us a table after about 5 minutes. Once we had our table it was wobbly and could spin right around. I asked to be sat somewhere else and the server said he would tell the manager, 5 more minutes and finally the manager came over to wedge something under the table, I explained that it wasn’t a wedge issue but the table was just broken. The restaurant had about 3-4 tables at the time and had to ask again to be moved. The manager said I’ll be right back and never did. Finally, I told the server that if he doesn’t move us we would be leaving. Eventually they put us in a small booth. If it wasn’t for the excellent server it would have been a total flop. Will I go back? Questionable. The food is good and so is the ambiance but the managers are terrible
We really enjoyed our experience at ATLAS Steak + Fish. We were surprised at the reasonable costs as we expected prices to be higher. The piano player is always excellent and the staff is pleasant and accommodating. The seafood platter was definitely enough for two and had a nice variety. We will definitely be back.
Reminds me of Sage at the RIver Cree. Over priced, poor value. The restaurant is only open a few days per week and the night we went there was a concert on at Rogers Place so the staff were overwhelmed and the kitchen was backed up.
I don't see how they can expect to get any kind of continuity and experience for the staff when it's only a part time time restaurant. Definitely not fine dining, even though they want to charge fine dining prices.
The main part of the restaurant is open to the casino and so it was really noisy. Because of the concert, it was packed and we were seated in an inner area where there was zero atmosphere. That area might be ok if you booked it for a group of say 50 for a private party, but otherwise it doesn't work. It seems really poorly thought out.
Today the service was regular food excellent missing good service
I like the grilled sea food for 2 yesterday I tried meat but I don’t like how it comes Alberta it’s famous for his meat but not sure how was the preparation of my plate I feel like I missing something good other than that service was excellent thx
Upon arrival, two hostesses were not very friendly or receptive. I told them I had a reservation for 6pm. They could not locate the booking, so I showed them the confirmation on my phone which clearly shows ice district location. One girl said that I probably mistakenly booked for the west end. I showed her again my confirmation and I got an eye roll and sigh. Not sure why. I understand everyone has “off” days, but as restaurant was very empty at that time I don’t understand why the attitude. Was a large effort to get us seated. I will say that our server, Eric, was phenomenal! Our meal was perfect ... just unfortunate about service by hostesses.
Food was great, service was great and we loved the pianist.
This was my first time at Atlas and it did not disappoint. The food and drinks were great and super good value on Thursdays for half price seafood. Haley our server was fantasic and was a highlight of the overall experince.
Upon special dietary requests, The manager advised me to let my friends know
Not to visit the restaurant again.
Heard great things about this place. Downtown location was very quiet for a Saturday night. Some issues with the food, but the manager was quick to fix and ensure we were happy in the end. Thank you for that.
Our waitress needs some training. Found her a little on the cold side. Did the minimum in serving us in my opinion. Did not leave you with a warm and welcoming experience. Did not asked until well into the meal if everything was ok, and did not as if we wanted coffee or tea at the end of the meal. As there was maybe 5 other tables at the same time, found the service to be mediocre at best.
celebrating our anniversary, Cristian made us feel very welcomed and special. Thank you so much for making the occasion extra special.
the Lobster and prawns were under cooked. I asked for my steak to be cook to med well I got med rare and it was not seasoned well. Our waitress was never around but another employee took care of our needs. He was very present and made our dining experience better.
Our food was horrible. We had the grilled seafood platter and it tasted like arsenic
Service and food and everything was excellent. Raved about the next day. Recommend it to everyone.
Everything was great until we neared the end of the meal. Service got very slow at that point. We were there over 1 hour after we finished our dinner waiting. It took 20 minutes from the time the bill was delivered until the pay machine was brought out. Unacceptable for a restaurant with this reputation! Food was great, ambiance amazing, but service was awful.
Would recommend the west location over the Downtown location
Rockefeller oysters good. Fish boulanaise was something to be desired as crab leg/mussels tasted rancid and ammonia like. paid full price
Food was delicious. Service was fast, friendly, and welcoming. Very clean, quiet and warming ambience. Price is high, but it is a high end restaurant so we got what we paid for. Had lobster bisque, charcuterie board, tenderloin, chili rib steak, and wine. Total was about $200, but was worth it. Plan on coming back soon.
Very tasty food! quick so you have time to make it to your event, if attending an event.
Our server was fantastic!
Super enjoyable evening as always at Atlas. We especially appreciate Bubbly Thursday. The seafood tower and grilled seafood platter were delicious. Love the piano softly playing in the background. Was a great girls night out.
This is our third visit and we were very happy again. Our food was on point. We had prime rib and the salmon. We also had the tequila old fashioned and they were amazing. Thank you for the fantastic experience again.
After waiting for over an hour for our two meals, friend ordered lamb and I ordered a Medium Rare steak, and we shared an order of ($10) potatoes. My steak came out well done on the outside so I was hoping for rare on the inside. It was very tough, cooked to “well” on the inside and well done on outside. After A few bites of the centre part and trying to chew the outside part, I decided that for $38 (6 oz) that I was going to tell the server...but he didn’t come back to check how our meals were, so I had to flag him down. He took the entire plate, not letting me finish the greens or the crab meat & bernaise sauce (an extra $18) along with my dinning partner eating her food. They asked if I wanted another steak and I said as long as it didn’t take another hour. This was on a Sunday evening and they were FAR from capacity, so when they said it wouldn’t take long I believed them....it took another 1/2 hour! It was cooked medium rare and was also a better cut of steak. However, I was now eating alone as my friend had finished her lamb and her plate had been cleared. We each had had two drinks, no appetizers or dessert. The bill was $150 and they didn’t comp even a drink or charge half-price for the steak. So, if you go on a Sunday - get the Prime Rib spécial!!
This was a pre concert dinner. It was by far a wonderful flavourful dinner! I highly recommend any of there steak options. I would of tried the oscar sauce however I thought it wouldn’t be worth the additional $13 charge. If the charge was lower I would of. The service was slow paced I do recommend the servers to be on the floor more so guests could interact more and learn more about the restaurant. With that aside everyone had a smile and great eye contact with guests. I highly recommend this restaurant to any steak lover!
I was very disappointed with how long it took to get our food. Our reservation was at 5:15 pm, and had a concert at 7. We didn’t receive our food until 7 pm, and were late for the concert.
