Myself and 3 friends had an enjoyable dining experience. Ordered multiple dishes which were all delicious and plentiful. Reasonably priced. Service was friendly and efficient. Having the option to dine in a booth is terrific. Happy to recommend and return.

We had the tomahawk steak which was great and perfectly cooked. The sides were disappointing. The sprouts were lukewarm and the potatoes nothing special. The chocolate mouse for dessert was more like a ganache. The service was ok to start with but after our main meal they took a long time to clean the table, which I think at this level is a no no. It was also hard to catch the wait staff’s’ eye.

The food was stunning, the ambiance wonderful with the open kitchen and the dining room had spaces that offered intimacy and privacy. I highly recommend this place for dinner. My only feedback is that our table was along a wall where the tables are a little too close together for complete privacy. But that is a minor issue compared to the overall lovely experience.

We choose Ascua often given that we live close by,but that will be every time we think about good meat.Tomahawk is always a succes there,but the rest of the food in the menu as well is delicious every time.This time we had Selena as our waitress for the night and she was so positive and pleasant to talk to.Really made our night the best :)

Went to Ascua as we love Spanish food and also smokey, wood fired flavours... well they definitely delivered! The wood fired Freo octopus is the best octopus I have ever had and caused both of us to pause and make "mmm mmm" noises The Tomahawk steak was super tasty, smokey, tender and came with a generous serve of sides. The other dishes we had on the night were also all excellent - and I would thoroughly recommend Ascua to anyone who loves Smokey Spanish flavours and great quality food

At your restaurant, beer should be served in a glass and not a bottle. The waiter should not collect any plates until all guests have finished their meal. The wine menu should state the vintage, otherwise how can you make an informed choice?

We had the sirloin steak which was acceptable and the pork belly which was very disappointing. Very tough and not tender enough. Also served cold. Visual presentation nice but overall very poor. Taste wise also poor and even struggle to finish the pricy dish trying to finish the chevy meat. Definitely wouldn’t this place. Also overpriced.

A lovely city centre venue with good food but the service was woeful. Firstly our waiter tried to clear our table while I was still eating. Then he delayed clearing the table and took three goes to do it. He never cleared our empty wine glasses and empty wine bottle even though we ordered desserts and another round of drinks. That round of drinks sat on the servery hatch for over 10 minutes and we had to ask him to get them. We expect more from a restaurant housed in the Intercontinental Hotel.
