What a wonderful restaurant. The waitstaff were polite, helpful in selecting items from menu suggestions and the ambiance was comforting in this casual yet trendy restaurant . Our waiter David was wonderful and very accommodating . I highly recommend for authentic italian cuisine.
We really enjoyed our dinner on Friday and Saturday nights.
Food was delicious.
I'll be back soon.
I would recommend this restaurant, however, please LOOK AT YOUR BILL as they DO NOT TELL YOU THEN INCLUDE THE GRATUITY with the bill. We did not know this and tipped them twice! A bit deceptive and NOT the standard practice in New York restaurants for small parties.
Great food. The service was fantastic. Would definitely recommend. Would dine there again on my next trip to NYC.
Good and tasty food. Good service. Perhaps a bit expensive
We were visiting New York for the weekend and found your wonderful review in the Tootsie Playbill and decided to follow-up. Needless to say we were extremely pleased with the food, service and ambiance and would definitely recommend your restaurant.
Very friendly and hospitable
Great pasta! Service and ambiance really nice too. Would go back
I love this restaurant!!
My friends asked us a light meal in the dinner but it was difficult request for me.
My coworker told me this restaurant, the appetizer and pasta were not heavy and taste really nice!
I definitely go to the restaurant again!
Had a nice quiet meal. Spectacular service!
Had a delightful restaurant experience... the food was delicious, the staff courteous and the ambiance fantastic. This is a neighborhood find!
excellent food, very friendly people, gave us god suggestions on what to order.
food was brought in very quick, did not have to wait long
This was our first time dining at this relatively new restaurant. It proved to be outstanding in every respect. An interesting menu, excellent food and service and very attractive, comfortable décor. Highly recommended -- we will certainly dine there again.
The owner and his son are attentive, good natured and modestly proud of their restaurant and rightfully so. Their food is excellent, friendly and attentive staff and good wine list, all in an airy, light filled space.
Excellent service. Very good food, pleasant atmosphere and reasonably priced (but limited) pre-theater menu. Good place to dine before a show.
Service was accommodating. Food was fine, but nothing special. Prices were reasonable.
Excellent Food and Service. I would definitely go back.
It’s ok—the marinara/tomato sauce is very good. The rest are decent but much better exists in nyc for same price. Bread dry.
A great asset to the neighborhood. We have been searching for a “family style” Italian restaurant by our 57th street apartment and have finally found one that won’t break the bank. Pasta and salads were excellent. We will definitely come back.
We were greeted warmly as soon as we arrived and the waiter treated us well the whole time we were there. The food was tasty and the price was very reasonable. The atmosphere was pleasant and we enjoyed our time before the show without feeling rushed. It is close to the Roundabout Theater and convenient. I would go back again.
We dined early before a broadway show
The trattoria is a family operation
Great food great service great wines by the glass delicious cannoli dessert
What a great surprise this neighborhood gem was.
The food was beyond delicious! So happy to have found this place. Can’t wait to go back!!
We ordered the veal; the sauce tasted like Knorr. My date ordered a chick dish and that was much better. Ordered an espresso and it was like brown water. . Nice atmosphere. good location
We stopped in for Mother's Day early dinner. Service was competent and unobtrusive. Food was delicious.
room is pleasant but noisy. door on to st was open as weather was good. the entrees were ok ( veal piccata & pasta with sausage and broccoli rabe) but the appetizers were bad (calamari and caprese) the credit card reader crashed as one us us tried to pay (and run to the theater) and instead of the management saying, -ok, just come back after the show- or comping him, they made him wait and wait
This restaurant was a great find. Though we didn't have the preheater, we surely could have. It must be one of the best values in NYC! The windows were open, white cloths on the table, and excellent service. This will certainly be our go-to for Studio 54. I love a tiny cozy restaurant.
Orchiette was not very good but the chicken franchisee and pear salad were both awesome. Nice interior, quiet on a Sunday evening, great service.
The food was delicious and reasonable. Service was impeccable. Drinks were costly. I would definitely go back
Welcome home to Nacho and his wife and son. This is a great addition to the neighborhood! Everything was wonderful...food ,service, ambiance. Great food, great value. Make this your go to place!
Excellent, charming staff, good food.
we thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant before our show. The owner greeted us and we were seated immediately for our reservation. Service was great - attentive but not hovering. Food was outstanding - we had salads and pasta dishes, and rustic bread with dipping oil, which we requested and they gladly brought to our table. The restaurant was small, intimate and quiet. Many restaurants in this area are becoming noisy, crowded and serve "odd " modern dishes, but Aroma is none of these. Our new "go to " restaurant.
Dinner before going to theatre.
Lovely place.. food was fresh and well prepared . Wait staff excellent . Great value
The food is really great and it is usually nice and roomy. The wait staff is fantastic and very attentive. Great pasta dishes
Charming, intimate mid-town Italian restaurant, convenient for theatre district but nicely tucked away over on 8th Ave. Excellent food, charming wait staff, nice ambience. We enjoyed it.
Both the food and service were excellent, although at times thee service was almost obsequious. I had veal with pine nuts and golden raisins in a cognac cream sauce; different and delicious! My husband had a fusilli-based riff on spaghetti carbonara, very rich and very tasty. We seldom have dessert when we go out, but the Affogato called to us. We were so glad it dis. Excellent vanilla gelato with espresso poured over. Try it!
Food, wine and service were all excellent. The only disappointment was the espresso which did not match the food quality. Otherwise all very very good.
Food was fabulous and the service is excellent with a friendly staff. Would highly recommend.
Pre theater dinner was a great value.
We enjoyed the dishes and our waiter was helpful and pleasant. We were early so the restaurant was very quiet but got busy by the time we left.
We will go back!
Very nice place. Great for pre-theater.
