Aria Sydney

Wonderful views of the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge accompanied by delicious, beautifully presented meals with an extensive wine list. They also cater extremely well for pre and post theatre/concert meals or drinks.

Reliable. A relatively safe premium menu. Efficient service. The food was prepared to perfection and the service was always attentive. However, we weren't wowed by our latest dining experience as we have been in the past. The premium pairing wines were a mixed bag and the tasting menu didn't include anything that really got the table talking. Overall the evening left us feeling like Aria has become a safe option for fine dining rather than an inspirational, gastronomic experience.

Perfect for that special event for out of this world views and food.

Great food and impeccable service in a magnificent setting. The servers were knowledgeable and accommodating, ready to help with recommendations and opinions. The food was primarily locally sourced, creatively prepared, and beautifully presented. The wine list is extensive, by the glass, half or full bottle, with lots of Australian and international selections at all price points; the sommelier was ready to help with suggestions according to all tastes and preferences. Every table has a beautiful view of Sydney Harbor, often including the bridge or Opera House. Aria is expensive, but were looking for the perfect dining experience to complete our Australia vacation. Aria accomplished this for us.

Expected much more from this well known establishment. Booking Aria for a special event I expected something memorable, especially for the price tag! How this restaurant is considered a top Sydney establishment is beyond me.

The only two positives about the Aria is the location and the service. The food was just appalling, tasteless and lazy. Portion size is not an issue if the quality is there - it was not. After spending hundreds of dollars we left hungry. I have had better meals at suburban establishments. The only explanation I can fathom is management must purely rely on the location for business.

The staff were exceptional and did their best to make it a night worth remembering. Unfortunately, the food was so disappointing I could never recommend Aria to anyone.

We enjoyed the Premium Wine Paired Tasting Menu at Aria. Every course was fantastic, and the wine pairings were all spot on. The service was amazing and we truly enjoyed the entire dining experience at Aria. You'll need to save your pennies for this one, but it's well worth it for foodies and wine lovers!

Lovely dinner with great service and a view of the harbour. We had the pre-theatre menu and it was quick service and the food arrived promptly and was delicious.

Warm welcome with excellent service and food. The wine program by the glass is outstanding and not to be missed if you like pairing different wines with each course. Chinese New Year celebrations led to a loud drum cadence outside just as we were seated and lasted about 20 minutes. Other than this annoyance, the evening was delicious and flawless. Worth the splurge!

Excellent food and service with a lot very view of the harbor. The menu was attractive but confusing.

The location, view and food are exceptional and perfect for a special occasion. It got off to a bad start with bad seating after a request for a window weeks earlier because of a special birthday. We were moved but it took 30 min and it delayed our order and service so we were rushed at the end. Gratus wine helped but it was a mistake that shouldn’t have happened.

Easily one of the best meals of my life. Filling and delicious. Amazing service.

I had a board member in town for one evening from Vancouver. The food was fantastic, our white wine was not served with our entree - I can live with that as we had not finished our initial drinks. What disappointed me the most was when we left, we passed 3 barmen and 3 staff at the reception desk and not a soul said goodbye or opened the door for us. It was something so small to you but meant so much to us. Shame on you for being so arrogant. I’m a no body to you who has probably only spent around $20,000 in your restaurant over the past 8 years so I don’t expect much.

Very average food. Mostly disappointing dishes. Seem to be trying too hard for the price point. Charge more but offer much better quality. Ingredients weren’t the issue, it’s the flavour combinations and execution that lets it down. Dining room is very dated and unless you are in the main room on a front table there is basically no view.

A menu that pushes boundaries and builds an amazing experience, a wine list and Sommelier knowledge that cultivates and compliments the food, and an outlook which makes you want to linger long after the meal is done. Congrats Chef Joel and the amazing team.

Aria is the most outstanding restaurant in Sydney and one of the finest in the world! From the time we were greeted at the door till we left, the evening was perfection! The food was delectable, and the service was beyond wonderful! Aria is an absolutely beautiful restaurant, and our dinner was one that we will always cherish! Treat yourselves and enjoy it!

Fab food, great service, great location. Who could ask for more?

We had a good meal at Aria on our last night in Sydney. Service was impeccable and views breathtaking. The only dish that tasted underwhelming to me was the yellowtail tuna appetizer, but the prawns and short rib appetizers were excellent. My duck main course was cooked to perfection and a side dish of broccolini was the best broccolini I have ever had. The desserts however were overly sweet.

The only true disappointment was that the restaurant knew it was my birthday and they did not even put a candle on my dessert plate. Everyone else around us got a candle, so they certainly had them in stock.

Wine pairing was amazing! Food was phenomenal! Could not have asked for a better experience!

Great need to Experience it to understand

The entire experience at Aria is lovely. The staff is well informed and pleasant. The food is wonderful and the ambiance was beautiful. We had a fabulous lunch on our first day in Australia.

Aria is in a fantastic location at Sydney Circular Quay near the Opera House. Food is good quality, with excellent personal service. The steak and duck are must try.
