No meal is complete without a nice glass of wine, and Aquario Restaurant has plenty to choose from. Ask your server to help you pair just the right variety with your food.
The best seafood restaurant in Westchester County!
Our first wedding anniversary. Fantastic food and service. We’ve driven by many times, and finally decided we’d go. Well worth it!!
Food was excellent. Ambiance was nice and not too noisy.
Excellent food choices . . . been there twice and great . . . try different foods on each visit. So far, working on the seafood . . . lots of choices. Good Mediterranean choices: sardines, octopus, and snails on linguini. The rack of lamb was great.
Wonderful fish...very nice service,...fair price point
As usual, a lovely dining experience: fresh food, attentive service and good value. We'll continue to dine at Aquario.
We love Aquario. Been coming for years. Food is reliably delicious and well prepared. The menu is so varied that there is always something for everyone. I love the fish, especially the trout and the swordfish My husband loves the duck, as well as the seafood stew.
We always leave there full and happy with a delicious meal and often leftovers.
We have dined here often over the years. Ordinarily, service is on the slow side. For some reason the service last night was abysmal. Entrees came late, forgot about one of our orders and another order arrived very undercooked. When we complained, there was little reaction from the staff. In general the food was good. We hope they get their act together, but it will be awhile before we return, if at all.
Wonderful experience celebrating friend’s 100th birthday. Her favorite food is Dover sole and it was served when requested, though not on the lunch menu. Tuna and red snapper were also delicious as was the mussels appetizer. The pre-lunch pork gift from the chef was excellent. The chocolate cake with candle was a lovely surprise. Potions are all very generous. We’ll be back!
I've been to this restaurant many times. It has always been a very good experience. The food is carefully prepared and very delicious. We had The Fisherman's stew which is stellar in my opinion and a very generous portion meant for two to split. The tri-color salad was also so fresh, well prepared and well- dressed. My daughter had a special dessert made from egg whites and fresh fruit that she was too full to finish, she had said, but somehow it all disappeared into her mouth. The very disappointing, and surprisingly rude service is what ruined what should have been an enjoyable evening. we found out only toward the end of our meal that they were low on staff. Which we would have been happy to be understanding of, if someone had told us. No one came by to see if we needed anything. No bus boy came buy to fill our water glasses. And when we asked for boxes for our leftovers, the boxes were literally tossed on our table and we again were promptly ignored. When our host went to speak to a manager, she ran into our waiter. After she asked for the manager he and another worker laughed loudly at her when she turned to come back to the table. Finally another waiter came to our table and helped us with the end of our meal. It was a very frustrating and unpleasant experience in contrast to the wonderful food. I hope the owner will respond to this review as we have loved this restaurant and have taken many people here over the years, for special dinners. Some in my party said they would not return to the restaurant. But I would like to be able to.
Everything was excellent. Broad choice of main courses all well presented. This is one of the few remaining "old fashion" restaurants, in a very good way. You can actually talk to your seat mates.
The fish is always fresh and served nicely. All 4 of us enjoyed our meals. Three of us had the Manhattan clam chowder which my husband and I always have. It could have had more clams and a little more spice but it was good, The 4th person had the salad which was a huge portion.
I always have the whole branzino and my friend had the filet. Both very good. The men had the swordfish and the grilled seafood p,after. The both liked theirs. All the meals are served with fresh sautéed vegetables, rice and black beans.
For dessert the men shared the chocolate mouse cake and my other friend had the raspberry cake. Enjoyed as well.
Wonderful as always. Food was amazing. The surprise dessert from Manuel was very thoughtful & the drinks were very generous. Can't wait to go back need to try some other yummy things on the menu. I usually leave some on my plate never get to finish all but this time I finished every single bite. ☺
Will definitely return with friends
An excellent experience. Food was great. Atmosphere was great. Service was great.
We eat here frequently for authentic, delicious Portuguese fare. The owner always visits the table and the rest of the staff is very attentive and accommodating.
Aquario is my old reliable for when I need a traditional meal. We’ve probably tried everything on the menu by this time, and it’s all excellent. We also have our parties at Aquario. The back room is perfect. Highly recommend!
Bread was dry and hard. Duck was overcooked dried out. Others in my party loved their Chilean Sea Bass and shellfish stew. Wine was excellent. Dessert and coffee were excellent.
Best assortment of fresh seafood around and all prepared very well.
1st time at this restaurant and we were very happy with the meal and the whole experience, seafood was very good!
Great food! As usual! We came back a year after our first visit and enjoyed it even more.
Love this place. Has the best food. Service is great. Food is delish. Will not be disappointed
Elegant, quiet atmosphere. Extensive menu featuring fish and shellfish. Seafood is consistently fresh. Good selection of wines. Attentive service.
We waited for over 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged that we were there. I had to flag down a waiter and he very grumpily sat us at a table. He then became our server and though he did nothing wrong he was not very warm either. Or apologetic that we had to wait.
family favorite great food great service highly recommend it
We always love dinner at Aquario. Food is fresh and delicious and prices are reasonable.
I love their fish and my husband loves the duck. A menu with something for everyone.
Excellent food and service at a reasonable price. Would highly recommend.
Wide variety of seafood choices. Complimentary appetizer. Friendly service. Grapes for dessert.
We had a pleasant quiet dinner. We started with Manhattan clam chowder which is always good. Friends shared the octopus appetizer and thought it was small for the price. Our entrees were whole and fileted branzino, swordfish, and shrimp. We all enjoyed what we ordered.
great seafood Nice people ,but skip the potty mouth clientele at the bar if you are with children.
from the minute we entered until we left my family and I experienced a wonderful meal. service was superior and the food was excellent
Always a pleasure to be here. Service is impeccable. Food is great and reasonably priced.
The service was inordinately slow. We waited 40 minutes for a bowl of soup & then an additional 30 minutes for main courses. At no time did a waiter come by to ask if we needed anything or to let us know when we might expect our food. When we tried to get a waiters attention they basically ignored us.
We were a party of six and could hear one another speaking! Food was great and staff were delightful. We will go back!
Nice ambiance, menu had a variety of interesting offerings, and our dinners were very good. Initial service was good. Drink orders were taken drinks arrived, and our dinner order taken. On a macro level, the service seemed good. Waitstaff hustled about, seemingly attentive to diners. But for us, no one ever approached the table to ask about the food, or ask about another drink. i had to flag down a waiter to get a second drink. When the dinner was cleared we indicated we were done. Over the next 20 minutes we told two more. We we were done before we got the check. Some regulars seemed to get a lot of attention. To be expected. But don’t let others feel ignored
We always love dining at Aquario. Food is delicious and the restaurant is comfortable. Everyone is very nice. Good place for a large group. There is always good value to a meal at Aquario and with such a varied menu, there is always something for everyone.
Aquario had very good service. Food was a bit plain tasting. Salad was served with a choice of what tasted like bottled French or Green Goddess. Seared tuna was prepared well, just the Ahi or Sushi grade was NOT.. The Chilean Sea Bass was okay.
extremely unfriendly staff ... no personality to be in the business they run as well as the owner!
Great time as always, everything was delicious and in a timely fashion!!!
Extensive menu and traditional old world service. Noise level fine. Food excellent and value very good
We love this place!! We have been coming here for years and it remains consistently delicious! Their hot octopus appetizer is hands down the best octopus out there and has yet to be beat in my opinion. The fish is always fresh and well prepared. Service can vary based on how busy but it’s generally reasonable. This is definitely one of our go to family dinner places.
