At Aqua, diners can enjoy unconventional Italian and Japanese flair from its two innovative menus, Aqua Roma and Aqua Tokyo
Dress Code: Smart casual attire would be much appreciated and admired (all gentlemen must be in full length trousers. Shorts, sleeveless shirts or flip flops will not be allowed)
The views are amazing however the service is poor, very slow and hard to get anyone’s attention. It is also very pricey
Arrived at restaurant with party of 6 and requested a booth seated which was accommodated: right next to a pole that obstructed our views. Asked if we could be relocated as we had all reunited from 4 different parts of the world and refused. Menu was varied and accommodated all dietary requirements.
Service was slow. When it arrived my meal did not arrive on a plate, it was a banana leaf. My fellow diner ordered the exact meal, which arrived on a plate! When asked if I could please get a plate, she pointed to our side bread plate!
Another diner on our table received their entree and main at the same time. When requested if they could return the main to the kitchen to be kept warm until she had finished the entree, the waitress ignored us! The worst had to have been that out of the 6 diners on our table, 2 of us received meals AFTER everyone received their entree AND main meals. We had to ask 3 times before they received their meals.
Whilst food quality was reflected in the price charged for it, the service was atrocious and we would never recommend it to any of our friends. It was not 5 star service standard that you would expect out of a place such as this.
HITS and MISSES......some dishes are wonderful...others were dry and overly charred. It's fun, sexy and a hot spot, but just know that the restaurant strives to be cutting edge on food, and in many cases it hits the spot.
But when 4 people are wedged into a small table with wine glasses, plates, more plates, bread plates....one small wrong move could topple the party onto the floor.
We'll go back but with a better idea of how and what to order.
The noise factor is pretty intense, so if you need to ask your server or runner for anything they can't hear you.
Booked a 7.30pm dinner. Time the dinner to have a view of the 8pm Symphony of Lights. Not only was the food fantastic, the ambience and the view of HK island during Symphony of Lights was very good as well. I especially like our seating with a backdrop mirror so the other diner can have the view of the harbour without turning his back. Overall is a money well spent for a romantic dinner with my love one. We ordered 2 starters, 2 mains and an appetizer. We loves all the food but would highly recommend the roasted NZ lamb rack and the appetizer grilled foie gras with soba & brandy soy sauce.
Strictly dinner for 1.5 hour , too rush ! Same pricing can have many options
Food was great , but service was terrible, I took my wife for her birthday IWas disappointing we the service
Hervorragende Küche und tolle neue Kompositionen mit neuen Geschmackserlebnissen.
Preise auf Hong Kong Niveau.
Das Panorama ist atemberaubend.
I experienced the Sunday brunch which was great! Outstanding poached eggs! Haven't seen yet that quality of eggs anywhere else in Hong Kong! Well done! Decent quantities and good quality! Something that was really annoying was that they served dish after dish even if we had not finished the previous one. Reason? Kitchen closed at 3 pm... So I recommend to arrive 1h30 at least, so you can enjoy the lunch without rush.
We have asked for window table but didn't receive it even tables were empty and young people eating only pizza were seated there. We are wondering what to do to get a window table. We have the festive menu, by the way.
Poor service, drinks were forgotten and one was spilled on our table. Had to chase up food - over 1.5 hours and only sushi and gyoza were served without mains and when the main meat dishes were served they were cold. Dessert was great which made me give 3 stars instead of 2. The restaurant was also one third full the entire time.
Awesome view of the harbor and very pricey. I booked a table via the app but when the waiter checked, I didn't have one. Showed them the app's confirmation and they honored it even gave us the table with the nice view.
Amazing Food, Excellent Service and Zesty Cocktails all topped off with the Incredible Skyline Hanout View....I would definitely recommend for any Special Occassion! We will be visiting again!
Outstanding venue, very professional staff and care for details.
I celebrated my wedding there and I am extremely satisfied!
Service was moderate for the price that the whole meal cost. The value of food isn’t really there. Aqua is really for the view.
Needed to wait 10 minutes before our booked table was ready ... it a problem as such but they could have asked us to go to the bar instead of waiting in front of the elevator.
Service was very uncoordinated.
Before starting the diner they asked if we wanted some salty Japanese beans with our drinks (we ordered a notre of water to start with before choosing a bottle of wine)... we said YES nice. We considered these as complimentary but no they were on the bill.
How can you ask if someone wants something before even having seen the menu and ask to pay for it ??
Their forgot to bring the water we ordered ... (so we ate the beans without any drink ) .... after reordering it finally came ... but because we needed to ask it twice, they put it twice in the bill.
The wine took for ages to come, we already had our first starter for 10 minutes on the table. When we finally got our first glass served, they already arrived with the second starter and we didn’t even touched the first one (as we were waiting for the wine).
Food was good. Not exceptional (although the prices are).
Main course : one was salmon with scallops. Scallops were cold, not a little unwarm no : cold.
After complaining gently about it the manger came and offered us dessert. Apologies accepted (only this should not happen in such an exclusive place).
Service was very friendly but in very difficult to understand English.
Place looks gorgeous and view is amazing. But there is a cold atmosphere and a non personal feeling about it.
Wine bottle prices start just below 100$ and in this kind of places you would expect a Wouwh experience. We hoped for it but it didn’t happen, despite all the potential the place has.
I am a foodie and enjoying the whole range of restaurants form street food to Michelin star restaurants.
This place is a clear no go for me. Despite the professional (not genuine) friendliness of the people working there.
Good Food! What a view! We were told that the minimum turnover for a window table would be 5000 HKD. We were 2 people, only and as we don’t drink alcohol, we said we will not reach this minimum. The staff was so friendly to give us a window table anyway and we had a fantastic Christmas Eve Dinner!
Good restaurant , superb views of harbour but expensive
Poor service !
Very bad service, warm wine, extremely small portions and overall very bad value. View is nice, drinks in the bar could be an idea.
This is a high-end eatery (mostly due to the amazing view), with a combination Italian and Japanese menu. The Foie Gras (japanese style) was very good, as was the fish carpaccio. The sushi was a little disappointing, both in the selection and also because it was too thickly cut. I expect perfect food at these prices. Wine is stupidly expensive, so you are better going for cocktails. Seating by the window has a minimum charge (HKD$900 a head).
Food is very tasty, but the portion size is simply unbalanced and minuscule... price is prohibitive and overall value equation go down and down...shame on you, guys...
The view from our table was outstanding. I wondered how we got so lucky until I realized every seat faces out on the harbor and every seat's view was spectacular. The food was elegant and tasted great. The servers were welcoming, helpful, and friendly--including the sommelier. We never felt rushed nor did we have to wait for our drinks or food. While the food was pricey, it was worth it for all of the benefits we enjoyed.
We went there for dinner with my wife and it was certaines the best food experience we had since a long time...the wine was exceptional (Chablis premier cru 2016), the entree(kings prawn tempura, foie gras and pork gyoza) were amazing and we had as main meal the sea bas and the wyagu beef on stone...just incredible!!!! Last but not least, we got a free dessert plate!!!
Service was very friendly and the vue, as we had a table on the window, was like having Hongkong at your feet!!!
It is true that it is pricey but if you want to impress your wife or loved one with a special treat...go there!!!
Very good restaurant. However, the music was way too loud. But maybe I'm just looking European standard which might not be the aim of this restaurant.
Still very satisfied by the food quality and the service.
This was our third time at Aqua and we were disappointed. Understaffed, under trained and over worked. Tables were not cleared quickly after each meal, we had to chase drink orders, coffee was warm. Overall a very disappointing experience.
Great location, nice view, tasty food - all was really nice!
Picked Aqua for the stunning view of the harbor and came away with a wonderful dining experience. The eclectic menu that combined Japanese and Italian cuisines was wonderful. The combination provided an extremely unique experience and the dishes were prepared perfectly. Service was outstanding until the very end when it took an inordinate amount of time to get a check.
Beautiful venue, wonderful views!
Excellent italian cuisine.
Warm welcome and very attentive service with a smile.
Food is nice, a great selection of Japanese and french dishes. Awesome view of Victoria harbour but the window seat can only occupy by three people or less so I didn’t get the chance to sit in window seat.
The selection of food has been changed, for the worse. No more free flow sushi, more like ( let’s just put it on the table all at once and see what happens). It’s quite evident that they are struggling to gain new customers and keep the existing ones.
An amazing location! But have something to eat before you go as the portion sizes are very small!
I know Aqua for years. This year we had several anniversaries on one day and so we decided to come back to this place to celebrate it in style. Unfortunately the food got more expensive and I had less on my plate than expected. Serving times for the drinks was quite long.
Quality and taste of the food and drinks was ok.
Finally when we walked out I stumbled over a stair, which wasnt marked nor visible as it was quite dark in the room. It would have been better to mark it with fluorescent strips on the floor to prevent such accident.
The total environment is too dark for reading a menu!
Too noisy , not recommended for large group of ppl who would like to enjoy chatting.
Fantastic ambiance and amazing service! Highly recommended.
they made us very welcome and remembered our special occasion. Very attentive.
I’d like to thank Mr. Steven Lee for his excellent service specially he knows it was our anniversary
