Amazing and gorgeous food and extremely attentive server
Excellent waitress DANA and the food wonderful environment....and so many interesting choices to pick from that I truly enjoyed it all and they even gave me a special delight for my birthday!!!!!
We had great service and the food was excellent.
Went for New Years Eve based on reviews. I checked their website and it said nothing about a "special NYE" menu.. prices, of course we're much higher and very limited menu. I understand, but would think notice would be standard on a website. My Mahi Mahi had a very sweet sauce that was advertised as pina colada, but tasted like orange creamsicle. Husbands short ribs were good. We had the special octopus appetizer which was done very nicely. Decent drink menu, desserts looked kinda bland so we passed. Our service was pretty good for a very busy evening... it was crowded.
We went for NYE so the menu was limited but it was delicious. The avacado bombs were awesome! Good ambiance and the food presentation was great. The only issue was that the chairs were large and weren’t close enough to the table.
So disappointed! Limited menu for NYE dinner which was fine. I get it limit it so they deliver excellent food on a busy night. I ordered the Surf and Turf for $70. The food showed up cold. I asked to have it heated up and it came back with the mashed potatoes smoking hot actually burnt but the fillet and lobster were still cold. The melted butter has a skim coat over it it was so cold. The waitress seemed mad I asked to have it heated up. She saw that the food wasn’t eaten never asked if it was better or hot. She then asked if free dessert would make it better. That is a big NO. I’m not an amateur eater, we eat out frequently. I guess holiday dining will be left to others.
Very dark and could not see
Asked for a regular table but was given a high table in bar area without explanation. Asked to be changed but was refused by hostess.
It was expensive but it was alright.
I don’t do recommendations.
Unbelievable miso soup and octopus appetizer, which is a meal in itself.
anniversary
Our party of 4 really enjoyed our food, especially the sea bass, short ribs, and black cod. The included side salad was excellent. Our server was very good and attentive. The only down sides were that it was somewhat noisy and a manager seemed to be watching our table frequently for the last half hour we were there, well before we received the check. It made one of our party uncomfortable.
Great food, Always! Nice atmosphere for cocktails! I wish they would remove the tv’s, or turn them off.
What a beautiful evening. Aqua is an excellent choice for quality food and drinks. The ambiance was soothing and comfortable. The service exceeded expectations; our server Ashley is to be commended for making it a special occasion. Highly recommend Aqua for excellence.
Excellent food. Excellent service.
Great food and great service!!
Phenomenal food and experience. Highly recommend!
The sea bass was very bland. Not worth the cost of the meal. My husband had the pork chops he was satisfied. The artichoke appetizer had tomato sauce over it but was but not rich in flavor. Not sure if I would return not worth the cost for the meal.
Birthday dinner
Aqua has become our favorite restaurant in the area. We had four friends join us for dinner and they loved the food and service.
We go there frequently using the three-course Groupon w/wine and ordering the salmon. The food is top-notch. We DO ask them to heat the carrots (otherwise they're served cool). Be sure to order some coffee (it's not included) - it is superb. One coffee is enough for two people - just ask for two cups.
Our only complaint is that the price of the Groupon has increased 15%.
Great menu choices and food was excellent.
Birthday for daughter
The service and food presentation were excellent. However, my pork tenderloin was somewhat dry. Several of our guests said the entrees were not as hot as one would expect, especially the carrots most of us had. The "Temptation" dessert was also excellent as was the vinaigrette on our salads.
The food is simply outstanding. Our first time there but will absolutely return!
The food and service at Aqua is consistently excellent.
great place to spend evening, wine and food is great
this is a great place for special occasions. The food is outstanding and the presentation five star. Service is very good.
The food taste as well as presentation was top notch and on par with the finest of restaurants. Our waitress was very nice and professional as well. We really enjoyed our meal. Exceptional.
We really enjoyed this restaurant. The chef uses a great balance of seasoning and does not overcompensate by using too much salt. The sauces were fresh and had clearly not been sitting in a steam table for weeks. We thought there was a bit too much uncooked alcohol in the seafood pasta, but the kitchen made a brand new one when we let them know. A great experience.
We have visited many restaurants in Michigan, out of state and in other countries. We very much enjoy a delicious meal, good ambiance and very good service. It was our Anniversary and we decided to try a new place. Aqua looked very appealing and we had high hopes that it would be another place added to our list of favorites. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and was very surprised when I encountered a hard lump, rock like when I took a bite of the bok choy that was served with the fish entree. I had to spit out my food and found a small gravel in my meal. I told our waitress and gave her the small gravel. She said, "Oh, looks like a bone." I told her no, that is no bone, it is obviously a tiny gravel and I am very disappointed that it was in my dish. She then took my dish away and came back with the menu, saying, "let's make up for this...what dessert would you like? I told her I do not want anything else. I was very disappointed that it was not taken care in a more proper way. We are very disappointed and would not recommend Aqua.
We really enjoyed our dinner at Aqua. Our server was great and all of us enjoyed our meals. I would highly recommend Aqua.
Service was exceptional, food was delicious. I will go back.
Wasn't pleased whatsoever.. I reserved a table at this establishment but called 3 days before and spoke to what is now presumed as the only male manager that works there, to see if they would accept a groupon on Saturday seeing that it is sweetest day. Which isn't even a real solidified holiday but they think so. On the phone he stated that it would be accepted but once we made it to the location it somehow isn't accepted on holidays. Doesn't even matter but the principle behind being professional and owning up to your previous commitment should commend you to let it go and let your GUESTS enjoying their evening at your establishment. No, that didn't occur. Just off of being inadequate with your policies and so forth I do not recommend this place.
Menu, food, service, drinks...all really great! We would have preferred to have been seated in the dining room rather than the bar (with sports games on tv). It was our first time there though and we made reservations but didn't know we'd be seated in the bar. We'll go back but I'll make sure to request the dining room.
The food was so very good. Our waiter, Ronald was great!
Went out for our 10 year anniversary and wanted to try a new place. Server was attentive and knowledgeable with a happy disposition. Drinks were made well and reasonably priced. We ordered the Crab Cakes as an appetizer, the meat appeared less than fresh and tasted about the same. I ordered the short ribs and was satisfied with the portion and flavor...no WOW factor though. My wife ordered a shrimp salad, the size of the shrimp were nice but again not much wow factor in the presentation. We were sat along the windows which was fine but 2 tables away was a family that had a very upset little one that screamed throughout our entire visit. Overall the best part of our experience was the service.
Outstanding menu variety, and gourmet food presentation. Thoroughly enjoyed.
Outside the box menu. I thought i was in a Chicago or NY restaurant. Great free range type entrees. Been there twice in a week. Met the owner Victor. Hands on guy. The first time I thought my rib eye cut was a little off. He explained to me he doesn’t buy hormone injected beef and the cuts can vary. He took it off my bill and I didn’t even ask. Next time I got the Sea Bass and the fresh catch was amazing. Great cocktails as well. Great atmosphere. I mostly like its not to loud. You can carry on a conversation with your guests or a client.
The service was very nice. Food was tasty. I wasn’t thrilled about the decor. This place had to have been a old Coney Island restaurant that they redid.
I had to walk up to the bar to get a glass of water. The wife's meal wasn't cooked as asked. Seemed as though nobody really cared.
Waitress was very attentive - great service! Food was very good. Some noise from street.
