A friendly atmosphere with helpful staff. A small menu but feel this helps with quality of the food being served. Not a cheap meal but worth it
Good service and relaxing atmosphere. Pie to share is great value with a couple of sides.
Very pleasant evening, staff were great, friendly & attentive. Food was delicious just one thing I had the sea bass but didn’t realise it was whole as would of preferred it filleted, but was yummy all the same. The wine list is varied so good choices but a little pricey too. Looking forward to special wine tasting events think this restaurant will do well
We had a lovely meal for our anniversary the food was beautifully cooked. My husband said it was the bast he’d had in a long while.
Whilst this is a lovely restaurant, it was very quiet but despite this, our order was still not served correctly. Whilst the missing items were eventually served, and the cost removed from the bill, this doesn’t bode well for more busy periods. The food was nice but nothing spectacular - I would not plan to come here again.
Amazing Sunday Sunday roast, very nice Spanish starters
Service was fabulous as was almost everything except the steak which was tough and unpleasant.
Service was very good and the staff were friendly and attentive
Food was very good I had the Mussels to start followed by the leg of Lamb. We were not rushed in anyway and the ambiance was relaxing and calm.
We will definitely visit again, well done Appleyard.
Loved our visit here and nice that it's on the doorstep. Amazing food and selection of wines. Excited to see what they can do.
A very find night food was so nice and the staff so helpful
One of the best menus
Good luck and will be back for your Sunday lunch
Great early evening meal and drinks, food and service was spot on !!
Superb sunday roast lamb, no need for starter or dessert as a very generous portion. WOuld have been a better atmosphere if more tables filled but shall hopefully come with time. Manager is very friendly and likeable!
Great food although puddings limited, only three on the menu and one of them was not available look forward to the next time.
Strange menu with limited choice. Usually I can find something I fancy but struggled today. We were expecting a lunch menu but not available until 10th September.
Cocktails limited unless you like gin which I don't.
No disabled toilet so had to walk upstairs.
High quality food and excellent customer service. The staff were very attentive and the food was amazing - I would highly recommend this restaurant!
Staff very friendly and attentive. Food was excellent although portions large for us. The lamb pie was delicious but had a potato topping which was not made clear so our side order of chips went to waste unfortunately. Will definitely return back.
Delicious delicious trout! Waitresses were very friendly but one mis sold us green beans saying we didn’t get any with main when we did... too many green beans but a small issues when everything else was spot on!
Fantastic food, fantastic service. You are not going to get any better in the area unless you travel in to central London. We need more places like this. Well done all.
Excellent evening with my girlfriends. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The ambience was cosy and relaxing. Food and wine was beautiful and very reasonable. Can’t wait to go again.
Slightly expensive but food and place lovely. Would go back again
Food was lovely and staff were so friendly.
Only negative I would say would be more of a variety for dessert menu. There were only 3.
We had a wonderful meal at the Apple Yard. The restaurant is very stylish and atmospheric with superb food and a fantastic welcome host. Excellent choice of food which was beautifully presented and full of flavour. Lovely to have a little gem so in the middle of the high street and so close to Sidcup station. Will definitely be returning!
Food was lovely & overall restaurant look and feel was nice.
Prices were reasonable.
Staff were really nice, but a little slow - kept having to prompt where our food was and there didn’t seem to be much urgency considering it’s a new restaurant (and I’m not a demanding personality) so found that a little disappointing.
Will still try for a second time as we are locals and have been waiting for it to open for such a long time.
A bit disappointed that with a limited menu two of the starters were not available and one or two of the main courses also. Again with a limited wine menu the wine we ordered was not available. That being said what we had was very good and we all said we would go back again.
Good service and good food. The anchovies starter was a particular highlight. I also enjoyed my steak, and the pecan tart dessert. Will definitely return again in the very near future.
Went there for our anniversary. Food took nearly two hours to come out. We asked what was going on and they said they would give a discount (which turned out to be an £8, out of a £110 bill). The food was fair (steak and chicken mains, but potatoes were cold and overcooked). When the bill arrived they had charged us £40 extra! Won’t be going back, but it’s a shame because the place could have such potential!
Good food and friendly staff - food very tasty but just avoid the potato starter - not worth the money.
Only rated service down as it was the lad’s first night....a lovely evening a look forward to coming back again soon! Lovely food and lovely ambience.
Service was excellent and the food, we all had the Poussin, was lovely. Looking forward to going back again when they officially open.
All very nice although limited menu at the moment. Staff were friendly and efficient. The price was quite high for local restaurant.
The 3 of us had a lovely evening here at Apple Yard.
Service was warm and friendly.
The menu is temporary as they go through their soft open period but food presented was delicious. We opted for the padron peppers, black pudding croquettes and the salmon for starters; with the pork and sirloin steak for mains. Thoroughly enjoyed!
Outstanding food and lovely atmosphere. We had the black pudding croquettes to start, followed by pork tenderloin special & sides to share. I have never had pork so tender! We will definitely be back soon.
Excellent restaurant really enjoyed it looking forward to coming back soon
Arrived for anniversary dinner and was greeted with a glass of fizz. Food was delicious and will definitely go back
This place has so much potential. I think it was too expensive for what we got. I got the salad which was really small and didnt have lots of options for the price. I'd recommend changing the menu so it more of a tapas place. If they continue with the menu and price in this location i cant see it lasting. Wine was really expensive e.g. a medium glass of New Zeland was £9. I've been other restaurants where it's a lot cheaper and a bottle cost about the same in a super market.
Over an I think look at the menu to more dishes and sharing dishes and look at the prices. I feel the mains should have come with sides and shouldn't been charged additional. Again this place has sooo much potential and would love for it to thrive if small changes are made.
Will be good to see the full menu when it’s available as the ‘soft opening’ menu seems a little disjointed. Tried the tapas dishes and surprised that the cheese didn’t come with biscuits so have to order an additional side on bread. The French onion soup is fab. On the mains the steak at £21 comes on it’s own which, for me isn’t a meal, and chips are an extra £4. The leg of lamb special comes with crushed potatoes and a lettuce salad on the side - which was odd, would rather have had a green veg. Wine by the glass seems expensive. However early days and worth a visit.
