António was established in 2007 in Taipa Village Macau by award-winning Portuguese chef António who decided to lead his career as a master chef after years of service in the military army.
The restaurant strives to promote Portuguese food and culture in Macau by introducing an array of authentic Portuguese dishes with modern twist. The renowned cuisine is complemented by warm décor, inviting atmosphere and attentive service, making the restaurant a perfect venue for business lunches, private dinners and functions alike. The details can be reflected from the distinctive furnishings and accessories inside the restaurant, from Portuguese tiles and paintings, candle holders, flower vases to bread baskets that make customers feel like at home.

Thanks for the arrangement. My boyfriend enjoy an unforgettable birthday dinner and the delicious cuisine here.Highly recommended!!!We’ll come again soon! Thanks again:)
Excellent experience. The food and ambience was exactly what we were looking for
Not as good as before. Some dishes were amazing and some very disappointing
Antonio never fails! Consistent food quality and service. A must go restaurant every time we visit Macau!!
A must-visit for me whenever I go to Macau. Authentic, friendly, cozy, delicious, unique and honest. And so lucky to bump into the superstar Chef Antonio!!
Terrific food! Loved Leitão Assado!highly recommended.
However,“Watching” the Dessert Crepes Suzette is much better than Eating it.
Really enjoyed !
One of the best restaurants I have ever been to, period.
We enjoyed the night in this resto , special the guitarist singer “ “Marcelino” , he really present
us the wonderful Portuguese music .
Thanks & C U next time !!
Excellent Portuguese food with a wide selection of wines to pair with. Live music (guitar solo) enhanced the atmosphere. Staff are used to birthday celebrations and will make you happy. Not cheap, but worth the experience.
Lovely restaurant in Taipa. We went for my husband's birthday and we both enjoyed the ambiance. The food portions are very large and the dishes are hearty. I would recommend Antonio if you want a nice evening out!
Antonio’s is a lovely find in the backstreets of the old town. The food is fresh and flavoursome and a real taste of Macao with a large variety and reasonable prices. Will be back again soon.
Cozy, Sweetie atmosphere, Nice food
But little bit salty
Definitely will visit again
The food here is excellent: fresh ingredients, innovative preparation, and beautiful presentation. But don't be fooled by the "business casual" dress code; this is a small, family-oriented Cafe with Superior cosine. If your trying to have a business lunch or a quiet intimate date, this isn't the venue for you. My wife and I couldn't have a conversation across our table because of the nose is children crying at other takes. Also be warned that is off the path in this historic part of Macau. Taxis can only get you to within a few blocks and then it's up to GPS to get the rest of the way.
Good food, nice ambiance. Experienced a bit strange table etiquettes; one of the examples is servant counting the money at the table
The best food was the bread that was complimentary, it was warm and came with good butter. Special disappointment with the seafood paella: Paella de Mariscos à “Antonio”, expensive and nothing special. Definitely will not visit again.
The roast pork is good with crispy skin on top and well done meat which is not dry.
However, the African chicken is a bit hard for the breast part. Yet the side dish, baked sliced potato with cheese, is delicious and creamy.
The food was decent, especially the squid. The serving time was appropriate; and the service was welcoming which I think is considerate for children and families.
Beautiful food, wonderful professional service and the cutest setting. It felt like we were in Portugal! I recommend the suckling pig if you’re a pork lover
Almost everything was good. The ambience was flat in the lighting, didn’t offer the special night out ambience.
The food was great, especially the roast suckling pig with potato chips. The meat was tender with a crispy skin outside.
The service was good too.
Excellent food and services Strong recommendation
It was a great experience, the food is excellent and team is nice.Antonio is very cheerful and guitarist Portuguese was there. Authentic Portuguese product and food. A great time !service on time
The food was excellent - great reasonably priced wine list - terrific service
Totally very good. We ordered Portigee Sausage, they had performance for live with fire.
Lovely place to eat! Was there for father’s day plus we had family here from Ireland... everyone enjoyed the food and service was very good too.
Food is not tasty and expensive. Disppoinyed. Do not recommend.
Qualité globale de la maison mérite 4 étoiles.
En revanche la cuisine est un peu décevante pour des prix de restaurant de luxe.
La terrasse est très agréable
Food was delicious but we made a reservation at 8:45 and did not get sat until almost 10 pm. It honestly made the rest of the night pretty sour, very unorganized staff. We had a gentlemen playing Portuguese music to us while eating and it was lovely. Overall it was a good meal but the wait made it less then worth it especially for the insane price of the food.
Unfortunately, I had high expectations and this place was far from it. We had an 8.30 reservation and was finally seated at 8.50. We had been waiting at our table for a further 20 minutes before we were able to order our drinks. The drinks took forever (two wines, a g&t and a soda water) and ended up arriving only minutes before our main was served. The ambience was terrible. We saw a man with a guitar and assumed he would be playing but he never reappeared for our sitting. The customer service downstairs was amazing. Great waiter who offered us a port whilst we waited for our table. Upstairs was a different story. Our waitress was uninterested and all round bad. A real shame and I would 100% stick to Fernandos.
Excellent food and service. The Birthday cake was a great surprise!
Amazing experience. Little wait for the food. Food was hearty and wholesome and flavourful. Service was top notch and the staff were so thoughtful
The food is delicious. Wine is good and many choice (Portugal)
Someone singing and playing guitar.
The staff is friendly and helpful.
Very good experience.
Nice small restaurant as I feel that I'm in Portugal. The waiter were so nice to give very good suggestion while we ordered food.
I have taken visitors to Hong Kong for a day in Macau 7 times. 6 of these we’ve eaten at Antonio - and regretted not doing so on the one occasion we thought we’d try somewhere else. Hearty, varied traditional Portuguese menu with some local and unique twists. Some dishes flamed at the table for a bit of theatre. Relaxing but intimate decor and great wine list. Wondering g around Taipa village before and after is a treat too. Our favourite place in Macau for a homely village experience and special occasions away from the manufactured casino vibe.
Service was great at first, but disappeared all together after we got our mains. We would have loved to have ordered dessert or coffee but no service! Eventually we chased down someone for the bill. Food was good but overpriced considering poor service. It put a dampener on a special evening.
We had dinner on Mother’s Day. We chose this restaurant because my family would like to have a pleasant dinner with a lovely evening to celebrate Mother’s Day and the recent retirement of my parents.
The food was quite nice, especially the clams, and we enjoyed the atmosphere.
Most of the staff were nice, except for a staff called SUGAR ZHANG.
During the dinner, we asked one of your staff to take a quick pic for us because it’s a mother’s day moment we would like to capture with the great food arriving to our table. When he was about to take it, Sugar suddenly just scolded at him and said “Don’t you think you should clean other tables and let others come in first? Just clean the tables now!” And she just stormed off.
After failing getting the picture taken, we asked the staff again whether it’s a good time for him to help us to take a photo because we did not want him to get into any troubles. While we were getting the photo taken, which it actually took 1-2 seconds to take a photo, Sugar just walked passed and didn’t even attempting to stop. We did not know what to say.
Maybe she was a in rush but it was like 9ish, there were no more new customers coming in. We were literally speechless. Based on all the recommendations you have and the price charged, we really did not expect this would happen twice in your restaurant within 1 night.
I would never recommend any of my friends and family to go to your restaurant because of the extremely poor service. It definitely made our Mother’s Day SPECIAL.
The food was delicious and the service was great! There was an excellent strolling guitarist singing songs from each tables’ nationality. Would highly recommend Antonio’s!!
Good food, good atmosphere, we were very satisfied with this restaurant.
Also, we could see Antonio, and he was a nice guitarist and brought us not only good foods and but also good musics.
Starters was good but the main dish (Wet Monkfish and Prawns Rice) was disappointing, too salty and the ingredients didn't blend well together. We didn't finish it. Maybe we should have stuck with the recommentdation. Also restrooms was extremely dirty which i thought was unacceptable for the price point. Overall disappointing.
