António was established in 2007 in Taipa Village Macau by award-winning Portuguese chef António who decided to lead his career as a master chef after years of service in the military army.
The restaurant strives to promote Portuguese food and culture in Macau by introducing an array of authentic Portuguese dishes with modern twist. The renowned cuisine is complemented by warm décor, inviting atmosphere and attentive service, making the restaurant a perfect venue for business lunches, private dinners and functions alike. The details can be reflected from the distinctive furnishings and accessories inside the restaurant, from Portuguese tiles and paintings, candle holders, flower vases to bread baskets that make customers feel like at home.

Service was great at first, but disappeared all together after we got our mains. We would have loved to have ordered dessert or coffee but no service! Eventually we chased down someone for the bill. Food was good but overpriced considering poor service. It put a dampener on a special evening.
We had dinner on Mother’s Day. We chose this restaurant because my family would like to have a pleasant dinner with a lovely evening to celebrate Mother’s Day and the recent retirement of my parents.
The food was quite nice, especially the clams, and we enjoyed the atmosphere.
Most of the staff were nice, except for a staff called SUGAR ZHANG.
During the dinner, we asked one of your staff to take a quick pic for us because it’s a mother’s day moment we would like to capture with the great food arriving to our table. When he was about to take it, Sugar suddenly just scolded at him and said “Don’t you think you should clean other tables and let others come in first? Just clean the tables now!” And she just stormed off.
After failing getting the picture taken, we asked the staff again whether it’s a good time for him to help us to take a photo because we did not want him to get into any troubles. While we were getting the photo taken, which it actually took 1-2 seconds to take a photo, Sugar just walked passed and didn’t even attempting to stop. We did not know what to say.
Maybe she was a in rush but it was like 9ish, there were no more new customers coming in. We were literally speechless. Based on all the recommendations you have and the price charged, we really did not expect this would happen twice in your restaurant within 1 night.
I would never recommend any of my friends and family to go to your restaurant because of the extremely poor service. It definitely made our Mother’s Day SPECIAL.
The food was delicious and the service was great! There was an excellent strolling guitarist singing songs from each tables’ nationality. Would highly recommend Antonio’s!!
Starters was good but the main dish (Wet Monkfish and Prawns Rice) was disappointing, too salty and the ingredients didn't blend well together. We didn't finish it. Maybe we should have stuck with the recommentdation. Also restrooms was extremely dirty which i thought was unacceptable for the price point. Overall disappointing.
Amazing evening - great cuisine with fullness of flavour. Chose variety of seafood options enjoyed by all at the table. Lovely service too.
Great food but servicing can raise a notch up to give customers an even better dining experience.
It would be great if the dishes can be served one by one because the table is not big enough (maybe just our table as it's right at the corridor) and the dishes would get cold before we taste them
But everything is great overall.
It is sad that we didn't have the chance to taste the Crepes Suzette. We will definitely come back to try this next time
The biggest surprise is the birthday cake and the live music even though we didn't order any dessert at last
Antonio Restaurante give us a very good memory and great dinner
Food is good and good services
Great food, great atmosphere and service. It is nicely arranged by the restaurant that a singer is presence every night.
The suckling pork is tasty, juicy and tender. The sausage is a must try. The sangria tastes great too!
The food is always good but I feel the staff are not as good as in the past.... seems to have lost some of it magic
Tables are Too close .
Food are delicious especially the seafood soup.
My Portuguese friend also like to eat the food.
We’re highly recommend.
Fine dining experience...great food and ambiance!
Fantastic. Antônio is so fair the best restaurant we found in more than 12 years living in Asia. His food just taste like home. We went to his restaurant 2 days in a row. Already planning the next time.
Fabulous place! All around fantastic!
Delicious food with great service! Really enjoyed the salad and goats cheese!
This is a small restaurant located at Taipa. I like the desert, Crepes Suzette, which was very delicious and prepared by a waitress in front of us. I had tried Sausage “Au flambé” that the sausage was roasted for a while in front of us as well. It was not very salty but I think it’s better to serve with rice. The skin of sucking pig was very crispy, but the duck rice was no good. The meal was a bit expensive, MOP 1200+ for two persons for lunch.
The food was fantastic!
Me and my children fully enjoyed the atmosphere and smell of the restaurant.
The food was littlebit solty for me. (but it was good too!)
The food was good, the suckling pig was a bit too fat and greasy for our taste. A bit disappointed with the service, not very professional for Michelin recommenced. The waiter was not able to recommend a wine to us.as we are not familiar with Portuguese wine and like a bottle to match our food. No one gave us food recommendation either. At the end of the meal they quickly took away everything, for the sake of just taking stuff. We weren’t finish is the main point. Had higher expectations for the restaurant. Overall, was worth the effort to book in advance, at least we got a seat by the window. The food is ok , would want to try something different.
We camed from Japan.
That was a wonderful dinner.
Thay serve dishes quickly.Mr Antonio is very friendly!Thank you!
nice place, warm, good service, food is fine and good layout.
Excellent service and food. This restaurant also has a great atmosphere.
Food was just so so.. below than the expectaion of Michelin.
Shell was gritty to the teeth, sardine was just normal no special flavour.
Service was so nice, i felt warmly welcomed.
Please don't be so much depressed on my review.
i frankly noted my comments, i hope your More success overcoming my comments ^o^
First day of Chinese New Year. Whole family together. Very cosy little place, food good portion and tasty. Love it
Our family had dinner at Antonio for celebrating mom's birthday early, and it was very successful! The food, ambience, service... you name it. Everything was great, and my mom loved it! Definitely, I am looking forward to visiting again and bring more friends/family.
Outstanding food and service as always! Fine dining so prices are high but worth every penny.
The food here was so great. We had grilled octopus and it was unforgettable. A little pricy, so it should be for a special dinner.
Excellent restaurant and unique in its variety of tastes. Beautiful wine list with outstanding Portuguese wines. Definitely the best place to eat in Macau, nothing less !
The food & environment was nice. However, there was limited ventilation inside. Live music was entertaining and specific to different nations. It is a Michelin restaurant with good heritage background.
Verry romantic live singing. Nice food, Good mood.
The dishes were not worthy as much as the prices. So, I was disappointed with foods. However, the atmosphere in the restaurant was cozy and the servers were very kind.
This restaurant is great! All menus looked delicious, and ordered menus were very delicious.
But the staffs are not responsible for all the tables. There is no enough staffs. We arrvied at the restaurant on time. But we were waited 5~10 minutes until they showed us where we will be sitting.
Other conditions are good.
Food was good!
but at first they wanted to ask us to order sparkling water.
that impression was not good.
We really enjoyed this Portuguese restaurant and returned the next night as the food and service were so good . The food was delicious, fresh and quantities very generous. Must try dishes lobster rice, goat & paella. But everything was good !
The wait staff were very knowledgeable and provided excellent service . The wine was also excellent.
This restaurant was in Taipa Village which was a must visit area ! So visit Taipa & go to Antonio’s for dinner .
The food was very tasty but not value for money. Everything was cooked really well and good portion sizes.
We had a table booked for 6pm, but we had to wait outside in the rain until 6.15pm to be seated, without any apology. The service wasn’t great even though the restaurant wasn’t very full.
I would recommend the restaurant to people who want to try authentic Portuguese food in a quiet, cosy atmosphere.
Had such high hopes for this little traditional Portuguese restaurant. My family and I were sorely with how sad the food was. That's the best way I can describe the food. Sad. Devoid of any care, flavor (other than just salt), and depth. Even if Antonio were only $ rather than $$$$, I would never go back.
The wine menu is scattered and confusing. When we asked the waitress if she could tell us a little more about the wines, she pointed at one and said "this one is very strong."
Very good ambience in old Macau. Food is on an extensive menu. Very much worth the trip.
foods were fantastic. staffs were very kind. Thanks for everything. Had a great memory in Macau.
This is my first visit
I have heard that prawns curry and octopus salad are delicious
Prawns curry is good in taste
Especially the taste of rice is excellent it does not taste like a rice in curry it seems to be a curry rice
And also the beer Sagres is tasty
I hope i revisit to eat all the dishes of restaurants
Great atmosphere, Cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed the wine and desserts, too ~
