Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza - Wantagh
Thank you to all the wait staff. You guys were hustling considering this covid situation.Thank you for being back at work. And serving up some great food and drinks!
Hot pizza and cold beer, what could be bad? I'll be back.
Excellent service and very attentive. I went with my son and was treated with such great service. I was impressed as being a chef myself I hope my staff was as great as she was. Wish I could remember server but definitely deserves credit. Food was fresh hot and full of flavor
Good food and good service!
I have been here three times. Each time it took about 45 minutes for food to arrive. That is unacceptable. Although the food is descent, it’s not worth the wait.
Delicious pizza, sangria & cannolis. Terrific service ‼️
Great food and fun times
Servers are attentive and friendly
SY too noisy for me. It was difficult to hear my wife.
Good pizza and excellent service. It can get noisy with either loud kids or noisy bar patrons.
Good local pizza. Love the thin crust and that it is well done. Service was excellent. Waitress very attentive.
Anthony's is always good, sometimes a little noisy but the service and food are always good.
Love it, go often but showing its age. One of my favorites for casual dinner and beer/wine. Always see families and kids so good all around restaurant for the whole family. This particular restaurant has been open for a while and some of the tables and furnishings are starting to show a little age. One thing I wish they would change is to move away from the plastic plates. I never liked them and they seem to be worse for wear. Please go with regular plates.
We sat at the bar and SARA was excellent in serving and handling food all around. Been coming for years and will always be coming back good food and service..
Arrived at 7pm and was told it’s a 45 minute wait. They seat on a first come first served and don’t really honor open table reservations. I asked them why are you on open table then???? No response. Not fair. Why make a reservation and then have to wait with everyone.
The food was good as always. It's hard to find a bad pizza on Long Island. There were a couple of large parties celebrating birthdays which did make the place more noisy than usual but, we did enjoy our meal.
We had a reservation with our baby and they couldn’t sit us until 20 minutes after we got there because they said they will seat whoever comes in and it doesn’t matter if you made a reservation or not. I had a hungry baby, and they did nothing to facilitate anything or make it up to us. Food was not great either.
Now that reservations are taken on Open Table we will regularly dine here
The bar can be noisy but the food and service are both good and worth every cent.
Went for dinner on a Sunday night. The noise level was over the top. TV's on with volume blasting. They should use close captions. You could not hear the person next to you.
Love, love, love their pizza and chicken wings with onions! Mike, the waiter, is wonderful, very attentive! The hostess, however, failed to check off our Open Table reservation even after I specifically asked her to do so. This was the only disappointment. I like my points!!
The food was great and the service was friendly. It’s a noisy, happy place!!
Consistently good food and service. Enjoyable meal.
Pizza great, our server (young girl, brown hair, cannot for the life of me remember her name) was fantastic. Beer ice cold....they keep doing things right.
Anthonys is good, perfect for a quick dinner with kids or just a casual dinner. The variety of pies meets everyones wants. We got there and there were so many people. They honored the open table reservation time. (others waiting had just put their names on the wait list).
The pies were fresh. Will def return.
The pizza is always good at this restaurant. The bar, which is right in the middle of the dining room, can be pretty noisy. The night we were there it was pretty noisy. Unfortunately, all it takes is one loud mouth the fill the dining room with his wisdom and he was there this night. If you’re looking for some place quiet, go elsewhere. The food, service and prices are good.
First time using open table. Set up a 5:45 PM “reservation”. Got there at 5:40, had a party of 7 including my 87 year old mother. Was told it would be 15/20 minute wait, seemed acceptable. At 6:10 I ask again about our table, they say another 10 minutes. While waiting we are standing outside and my 87 year old mother is propped up on a bar stool. At 6:30 still no table, we told off the girl who was handling the seating and left.
Seems to me this service is worthless!
Made reservations through open table but was told that was really like a call ahead and had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. That was surprising and will know in the future. Food and service was excellent but will not use open table to make reservations here again.
