Angry Butcher - Sam's Town Hotel & Gambling Hall
Food was just ok. Crab legs came out full of water no seasoning. Steak was average not what I expected from a steak house.
very nice location and atmosphere is very welcoming. As far as the food goes it is very lackluster and mediocre. It’s a shame because the atmosphere sets such a high expectation with no deliver. Will not return again.
Had several great dinners at the Angry Butcher over 3 nights while staying at Sam's Town. Always request dining on the patio, which is great for people watching and enjoying the atmosphere from the Mystic Falls show.
Enjoyed a 7oz fillet steak and steak Oscar topping [delicious] and shared sides of asparagus, tuscan fried potatoes and onion rings. Steak was delicious and this was the first time trying the Oscar topping - it won't be the last!
On another night we both had the fried chicken with gravy - it was out of this world...oh my goodness ... sooo scrumptious! The only thing I would have liked with this was real fries - which I would have preferred to the tuscan fried potatoes [which are still nice - but not fries!]
Service is always wonderful - staff are friendly, welcoming [Ana in particular at the reception desk] and often long serving [this is a big part of why I have chosen to visit and stay at Sam's Town over the past 25 years - it's a real family atmosphere ...with staff often having worked there for 20-40 years! It's genuinely amazing to have retained so many lovely staff and reflects the sense of camaraderie there is in the hotel/casino] Chelan, Debbie and Robyn served us and were all fabulous. I have known Chelan for many years - like so many, he is a genuinely charming employee that always makes you feel welcome.
If you are in the area or staying at Sam's Town - I would highly recommend taking the time to eat here.
Finally, just FYI - You can get the full menu at the bar too, if you prefer.
Excellent! I loved it and will definitely be going back! I am glad we decided to go off the strip to eat. The food was great and the price difference was not to bad either. Each item was probably $5-$15 less than it would be at a hotel on the strip. And I think the quality of the food and service was better than some of the most expensive ones.
There is a fun little light and water show at 10pm (not sure what times it happens during the day) the patio is a great place to watch it from.
for this being a steakhouse, it was really decent prices, I had French onion soup to start, which was really good, probably in the top 5 of onion soups I have had. for dinner I ordered the cioppino, it was a tasty broth, maybe had a bit too many onions, usually the cioppinos I have ordered before never had chunks of tomatoes and onions, but I just ate around it, had a nice amount of seafood in it, also came with crusty bread. my husband had the bone in ribeye and a baked potato, both were really good, and then we had the chocolate layer cake for dessert, we sat outside on the patio, ambiance was great, service was ok, she got our food and drinks out, but she was quite slow getting to our table, and she was not the most friendliest waitress, but at least everything else was really good, we will for sure go back
Fabulous food. Fabulous service. Fabulous ambiance. Thank you for a wonderful New Year's Eve dinner and dessert.
Great tasting steak and service was very good
We will be back for sure
I had the Rock Shrimp for an entree and the cleaver salad. They were fantastic. Will go there again. Do make reservations though.
Food was only acceptable, considering the price. Not worth the price.
Service was okay, but the requirement that we needed reservations was over the top. There were a lot of open tables and one group near us was overly loud and rambunctious. Even the waitress had trouble hearing. (Glad that they left before we did.)
It'll be a while before we go back.
Not only is the food excellent, but I requested a cocktail the waiter and bartender didn’t know, and Daryl made an excellent 0010! The music could be turned down a bit, but it was not as loud as most restaurants. We enjoy the Angry Butcher as our “special” place because of the wonderful food, and it’s convenient location. Have never been disappointed.
It was our fault for going out on Christmas. The soup was barely warm. The salad had slimy pieces of lettuce. The scallops were undercooked. The pappardelle was very good. Our server was very professional. Very noisy. I was not going to complain, but got this email asking how dinner was.
The staff was friendly and immediately the conversation leads into suggestions from the menu. The choices were wide and prices are reasonable. Upscale has never felt so casual and affordable. This is a major secret amongst locals and the discovery left me longing for more. Expect to pay $25 - $35 per person plus drinks and dessert. It was worth every cent.
Very poor quality food. Overpriced is an understatement.
The setting was very nice. We sat on the patio in Mystic Falls Park. Christmas decorations everywhere, and the show every full hour was entertaining. Food was excellent quality.
Our waiter was great, food excellent!!!!! Beautiful atmosphere.
We eat here once every 10 days or so. It is one of our favorites. We enjoy sitting out on the patio area the sounds of the waterfall and hustle and bustle of the Casino is just loud enough to drown out the sound of our youngsters.
The food, my go to is the Ribeye with a baked potato. Always amazing and needs no embellishments. The Mac and Cheese for the kids (and me) is the reason I run.
Service, never rushed and I never have to wait. If you want to sit, enjoy a cocktail, have an app and enjoy the evening this is the place. If you want fast food...... you don’t go to a steakhouse for fast food.
Price, I have not found another steak house that has the quality of food for the price offered. So that is an added bonus.
It was our anniversary which I added to the reservation. No one said a word. I had the prime rib. It was dry and not medium rare. Service was fine. That's not good enough for a this ......
Steaks very tough and dry. Reservations for a birthday that was not acknowledged. Also requested table to see the falls show but was not seated where we could get a good view.
The crab was not top quality... kind of 'fishy'/strong taste.
This was our first time. Everything exceeded our expectations. The Short Rib & Grits appetizer is to die for.
Reservations were easy to make online with plenty of time slots, food, service and atmosphere was excellent.
We had a excellent Thanksgiving dinner. I started with the Pumpkin bisque and it was sublime. Sweet and savory at the same time. The turkey was moist and carved generously. Dressing was moist and flavorful.
Overall an excellent meal.
Good turkey dinner
The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. Normal steakhouses delay each course so you order more drinks and courses. Angry Butch served the food hot and fast without rushing you. The waiter brought out top end red wine glasses even though we ordered the house wine and it was tasty.
I have been here before, but this time was a disappointment. The service was painfully slow. It took a long time between ordering and delivery of our beverages. Food was generally good, but when we asked for additional Bearnaise sauce, waiter said "sure", but never delivered it. Waiter appeared to be serving other tables that were seated after us and ignoring our table.
It will be a long time before we give them another chance.
Had a reservation, arrived early and waited in the bar until table was ready. Ordered 2 beers and onion rings. Got seated and ordered food, got rolls and waters before onion rings.
Waiter never checked on us after that. We finished beers and rolls. Still no drink check from waiter. A bussed came by and picked up empty roll basket and beer bottles. On his way turning around, he asked quickly if we needed anything. My husband started to answer and bussed left.
I waited a few minutes before going up to hostess and manager, Jen. I explained what happened and she said she would get us drinks and rolls.
She sent out the bussed from earlier. He accused me of saying I did not want anything else. He then attempted to talk down and over me. I told Jen this. I stated I did not want this bussed anymore and for him to stay away from our table.
The salads and finally soft drinks arrived. The waiter, Marc, had no idea what was going on. He was not at fault for any of the other issues up to now.
The same bussed came back and would only acknowledge my husband now. Another bussed saw this and RAN to Jen.
Time to pay bill. We had a starting total of $80 and change. Gave the waiter, Marc, card and a $15 off coupon. He comes back with a receipt for $87 and change!
I lost it! I motioned to Jen. Explained everything and she had no answers. She finally comes back with an adjusted bill for $36 and change, she took off one dinner and we have to wait 3 to 5 days for the original amount taken to be put back into card.
Will I recommend to a friend or come back....OH HELL NO!!!
The food was so good and steak was tender and flavorful
Service and staff were all very good. As was the quality of the food.
Great food and the drinks are spot on as well! Mark is an amazing server!
mine ‘n’ my girlfriends we were on vacation from alaska ‘n’ we always do a date dinner night ‘n’ are experience was so great we decide our next trip to vegas we will be doing another date dinner at the angry butcher
The Angry Butcher is among the best kept secrets in Las Vegas . . . Truly a great dinning experience and Chef Chuck rocks and Maverick and Blanca enhance the dinning experience by providing great service !!!
The Angry Butch is a must whenever dinning in Las Vegas !!!
We always enjoy the angry butcher we will miss it after we move away.
Great service at bar with Daryl, Ana always greets me with a smile, short rib and grits appetizer very good, pork chop huge and delicious
Food and service were really good as we have come to expect.
Excellent service at the bar with Daryl, bone in prime rib huge, rare and delicious. All of the staff very accommodating, cleaver salad a must, bananas foster great.
We eat at the Angry Butcher on every trip. Food is always awesome and they give too much because we never make it to dessert. I still want to try that Banana Foster Bread Pudding....next trip we may have to start with dessert and work our way backwards.
We sat out in the patio....the sound of the water was very soothing and calming. It really makes you forget that you're actually eating dinner inside of a casino. The food was really good as well as the service. I will definitely be back again and again and I will definitely recommend this place to family and friends. Thank you for this nice experience!
Thou our dining was quite pleasant I was a bit put off by the fact that every selection on the menu was a separate price. We might go back for a drink but doubt we will dine there again. Not a good value for our money.
