Dining was an enjoyable experience. Only one complaint as there was a plastic piece in the falafel entree

Overall experience was delightful I came to have lunch on my own and felt very comfortable and not judged I don’t understand much to restaurant etiquette and just wanted to watch some videos in my phone Very thankful no one minded what I was doing and felt very at home The food was phenomenal, was very lucky to have experienced such a fine-dining experience with wonderfully experienced servers and delicious food Only feedback I could provide would be from my raspberry tart dessert The citrus sorbet was incredibly acidic and tart for my palate I kept wincing too much when taking bites so couldn’t finish it off Otherwise completely flawless experience

The quality of food was remarkable and not what would be expected of students. The presentation of all dishes was professionally placed, clean and visually appealing. The taste of the octopus was a subtly char-BBQ flavour and the selection of steak was beautifully marbled. Main courses were delicious with 3 generous lamb cutlets of which the fat had been trimmed. The cutlets were beautifully cooked and pink. The salmon skin was crispy and the flesh was moist. The desserts were what would be expected of a 5star restaurant with the home made icecream well mixed and the callebaut chocolate flavour coming through prices were extremely reasonable The waiting staff were nervous as I suspect they were being observed. Water was poured using an nearly empty jug that required the server to return and her hand was shaking when pouring.

A great option for those who want to catch up with friends for lunch in the CBD. Easy walking distance from Southern Cross station and various tram routes makes it very attractive for those travelling from outer suburbs or country and very popular with retirees. The food is prepared and served by students under the guidance of teaching staff. A three course meal for $40 is amazing value with high quality of food and a variety of options to select from the menu. It's a wonderful opportunity to taste some delicious dishes produced by those who may be the great chefs of the future.

We eat at the Angliss Restaurant frequently and liove to engage with the students. On this occasion I feel the Menu and food was the best I've ever had. Service was exceptional with a special shout out to Trudy our main waitress. She was a little nervous as often works in the back of house, but she did a fabulous job. The meal is great value, on this occasion entrees were $12, and mains $22. Good selection of wines at good prices.

Overall it was great. I will note that some things were off though. Some of the food was cold and overcooked. I ordered the octopus and I found it to be tough and overcooked. However, the presentation was spot on and it was very impressive. The dessert was great. One of my friends ordered the zucchini flower tempura and found the batter to be undercooked and an off colour. It was quite tough to cut into, so due to this I wouldn't recommend this dish. However, one thing that William Angliss always succeeds in is presentation. It's always beautiful and spot on! Only thing to improve on is the small details such as cooking time.

The food was excellent and great value. Remembering this is run by students the service was slow as a result we did not get 4 of the items we had ordered and had to make a second selection. I would still go back again
