What Insiders Are Saying
Angelini Osteria is one of the great Italian restaurants of Los Angeles.
Food was pretty good. Squid ink pasta had so much sand it was annoying. Truffle pasta was so overpriced and tasted like regular pasta. Service was great. Had a great time.
We love Angelini Osteria. The food is great and the service is outstanding!
Very vibrant little place, friendly staff, I was very satisfied with my food, definitely try pasta with sea urchins. Quite traditional as well, I would come again
Love the patio!!!!! Thank you for seating my date and I there :)
Angelini is always delicious and reliable, the service attentive.
We were a first clients for this evening. We been seated at 5:30, what was nice. But every dishes what was ordered was burned out including bread.
The restaurant is way over priced for this food.
Always outstanding, for many years both the food and service have always have been wonderful.
the pasta was fabulous as always but I thought $50 for 3 lamb chops on top of a bed of arugula was a little pricey
Ten years ago, I think this would have been considered a solid, recommendable Italian meal. But the bar has been raised in Los Angeles, and for these prices, the food is mediocre. Tried the lemon tagliolini, the gorgonzola and pear salad, the bombolotti all'amatriciana, and a salmon dish they brought to us on the house. Sadly, all were just a few notches above edible. Unmemorable experience overall.
Good food - service was very slow for lunch time largely due to our server forgetting to put our order in. Two of the items didn't even require much prep - it was a salad and melon dish - no cooking required. Although the chef provided a few small complimentary dishes until our food arrived we would have preferred receiving our food in a timely manner and save an extra hour on our lunch break.
Food was good but $80 per person including apps and dessert was overpriced for pasta. Portions were fairly small. Good service. Wine was good and I didn’t include that in the $80 per person.
Food was ridiculously salty
We’ve gone to Angelini Osteria for our wedding anniversary several times and are always pleased with every aspect of the restaurant. The food is incredible, the service impeccable.
Always great. After about 20 times having the Lasagna I had something different!! The Dover sole- and it was delicious as was the spinach & mashed potatoes that came on the side. The other people loved the veal cutlet and the gnocchi with lobster.
Angelini has the best reputation and our experience proved it. We’ll be back very soon.
Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!!! We love this place and can't wait to go back again in two weeks.
We love the food and service!! They treated us so well too!
I have loved this restaurant since it opened - they have the best carbonara in the U.S. and that is what i had for lunch - food is always fresh and tasty, service is spot on, and a nice ambience that makes it feel like home.
Didn't feel the flavor of Italian food.
Service was prompt and curious.
ALWAYS such a treat to dine at Angelini Osteria! The service is impeccable, everyone who you come in contact there is so lovely, accommodating and genuinely happy that you are there dining with them.
Very special - my ABSOLUTE favorite place to dine.
The pasta with summer truffles was divine.
Took a friend who had never eaten there and she was thrilled with the meal. We shared the spaghetti melanzine and the Branzino. Turamisu for dessert. So delicious! Will definitely be back soon!!
Consistently excellent. Traditional Italian food that is always well executed. Nice wine list including several reasonably priced options. Not trying to reinvent the classic Italian menu, but everything they do they do very well.
overpriced food. not recommended to anyone
Food was horrible. Seats were uncomfortable. Noise was deafening. Service was just ok.
We love Angelini and have been going there for decades. We have never had a bad dish in all the times that we have gone there. The service is impeccable and very warm. We love Gino and all the staff. I recommend the house made pasta with black truffles, the branzino and all the wonderful desserts.
Absolutely hands down one of the best restaurants in Los Angeles! The food and service were so amazing I thought I was back in Italy!!!
Posted my pictures on my food Instagram. @the_ _ goldenplate. Place was AMAZING
every course was flavorful and perfectly cooked. Felt like I was in Italy.
Excellent pasta amazing loved it
Overrated......the pizza was not cook well...and the pasta was over rated
Our first time at Angelini Osteria after hearing about this restaurant as being the "best Italian restaurant in Los Angeles." We are seasoned travelers to Italy at least once a year for the past 20 years and Angelini Osteria had the ambience, impeccable service (no "my name is....and Ill be your server"), and most of all amazing food that made us feel like we were in Rome dining at our favorite osteria. We will be back and will choose this family run restaurant over newer, buzzier LA Italian places. Classic menu; wonderful agnolotti, perfect insalata mista, beef carpaccio, sole, grilled chicken, and good pizzas. Welcoming to children (we had a enthusiastic table for 8 with 3 little kids). All in all a 10 in our book!
Angelini Osteria is the best restaurant in Los Angeles!!!
Terrific food. Great wait staff . Angelini has been and is a Los Angeles institution for decades .classic, authentic italian fare perfectly executed
Birthday dinner, intimate. Food is utterly and perfectly delicious.
Best waiters. Delicious food.
Absolutely loved everything here. Very quaint small restaurant and very Italian. I'm pretty sure we were the only non Italians in the place lol, which I'm pretty sure is a good sign. Love the toasted flatbread and we opted for the black truffle Blanca Pizza and it was decadent I'm rich as it should be. Saw someone getting the branzino it would love to come back and try that it was the best looking plated Branzino we'd ever seen.
Exceeded our already high expectations
The place came highly recommended. Being a former owner and Chef of an Italian restaurant, in Florida/New York for 30 years, I was very disappointed. The tables are too close together. Three times a group of people at the table in front of us back into my wife and guest, while eating, and didn't have the courtesy to apologize. Very rude. We sat for an hour before they turned on the A/C. I think Cramming too many people in a small area is ridiculous. Really? It was so loud you couldn't hear the person in front of you. The food, so-so, I had Tripoli, and the shrimp was overcooked and small amount for the price of the dish. For the price of the food and ambiance, where are the table cloths? Very Disappointed!!!
