Unfortunately the pumpkin tortellini pasta was hard (under cooked).

My Prosecco didn’t come so I asked the second waitress who was lovely and quick to get me another drink and let us stay later as there was no booking after us.

Pop in for a drink at the bar (when pandemic restrictions allow) or have a full sit down meal (book well in advance due to pandemic).

Food, drinks and device was amazing ! Catered to our dietary requirements easily and were very attentive staff. Great night and would highly recommend to all my family and friends.

Staff were delightful, food was delish. The dessert was a bit average but who really cares? We will be back.

My only gripe with our visit to Alphington Social is that we had to eat & drink pretty quickly to make sure we were out in time for the next seating. This is a place that needs to be enjoyed in a leisurely way. Cocktails were good, food was super yummy, staff were fun but professional. Decor & general vibe is spot on. I'll be back for sure, and when it's post COVID that visit will be especially good.

Perfect date venue. Relaxed but warm atmosphere with mood lighting. Great beverage list and the food is so fresh and delicious.

Great food and really good service you need to ask for a table near the fire place it was a bit cold near the back door in winter. It is hard for everyone with the c19 stuff in place

Great to be able to be back eating in at Alphington Social. Delicious food and great staff as always and just a few minor tweaks due to COVID.

Loved it all BUT the music is so loud and lots of hard surfaces makes conversation uncomfortable.

Even though I booked, they didn’t really have a table for us. We were given the option of a communal table or outside. As it was a nice night we chose outside. Once out there we discovered that there was no table service. Staff were very apologetic and tried help as much as possible.
Ordered the charcuterie platter which came with no individual plates. Mains took a long time to arrive. Damson plum tart was nice but straight out of the fridge and cannoli didn’t taste of anything. There are so many good Italian restaurants in Fairfield/Ivanhoe, I don’t think I will be back.

Sadly no. We have been looking forward to coming for months as live in Fairfield. Service could not be faulted, waitress was a legend. Ended there.
Ordered prawn, scallops, oysters... once ordered told not available as seafood delivery didn’t come. If that happens, update your menu or find an last minute fishmonger.
Ordered ravioli and it was tasteless and rock hard.
Zucchini flowers , no dressing on salad, flowers themselves just full of oil.
Ordered two steaks, medium... was cooked raw all the way through. I could only eat the cooked edges.
Drinks were good.

Really disappointed in this place. Being an Alphington local I had hoped for a nice night out, similar to the previous restaurant here but was really let down. After finding our table, it took a long time to finally have our orders taken (30mins), after which we had 3 staff members separately push / rush us, informing us that the table needed to be vacated in 1 hour as they had booked the table for another couple and if we hadn't finished by then would need to move to the bar to finish our meals, all before receiving our drinks.

On receiving the tempranillo I had ordered, it was significantly under-filled, with neighbouring tables having their glasses with more appropriately filled levels.

The food was served in a reasonable amount of time. However, we had to rush our eating to make their deadline of bookings. The food was average quality. The chips are nice, and the olive tempenade was okay (crust was burnt), and the pizza was overcooked with certain parts being burnt in colour and flavour.

Upon leaving, the staff member who had finalised the group aheads bill decided to leave and we were left waiting for the next staff member.

Overall, really poor and disappointing customer service especially with the price of food and drink. We had heard from others that the customer service was poor, but thought we we give it the benefit of doubt. We will not be coming back, and will be sharing our disappointing experience with other local friends and family.

Yes it was a bit noisy. I would prefer to be able to call & book that would make it more personal as you could discuss where you would like to sit. The oysters were not fresh enough but the rest was very good.

Went with my mother to celebrate a whole new path I’m taking. The atmosphere was lovely, the decorations were fantastic. The welcome and service were prefect and I cannot say anything else but the food is amazing. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a nice social experience.

This restaurant has such a great vibe And so much potential but unfortunately inexperienced staff, being told because there was only 2 of us the table was only for 1 and a half hours was disappointing.
The pizza we had was great except The flavours amazing but I u fortunately the base of the pizza was so hard and thin you couldn’t cut it .

Alphington social is an awesome place to dine. The staff are amazingly welcoming. Sensational food from Cicchetti to Dolce. Great drink selection with a couple of great craft beers on tap. The decor rounds off a fantastic place to dine. Highly recommend.

Great local bar/restaurant. Friendly staff/atmosphere. We brought along two friends this time who had not been before and they also enjoyed the afternoon. We will return and so will they.

This is a little gem hidden away in a quiet corner of Alphington. The food is first rate, the prices were a nice suprise and I could not fault the staff. We'll be back.

Bustling, great staff/service good atmosphere

Everything here is always perfect. We love it.
The food is amazing. The service is always spot on and the ambience is great. It's the perfect local.
It's also the closest thing to a great Italian local ristorante. Makes me nostalgic for our other home.

Staff showed a lack of concern for our requests. Fly discovered walking on one of our knives. Requested a replacement knife which done with a cursory apology.
Food was tasteless and very average.
We had been assured via a phone call before our dinner that our request for a separate table (not communal) would be granted. This didn’t happen. Told by the waitress that the iPad ‘throws around’ the seating so it was impossible to move us from the communal table.
This is a pretentious restaurant that doesn’t respect its diners.

Our second visit and the first for our friends. Once again we were really taken with the whole experience, this time for lunch. Our friends were also seriously impressed and and we all had great time. Will be back again soon.
