Absolutely fantastic, food was delicious, customer service was perfect.

We had a great time, food was fantastic. We sat at the barn front of the chef and felt that, at times, we got forgotten a bit by our waiter. But nothing too serious. We had a great evening and appreciated the last minute booking. We are in Canberra for 5 nights and that was our second visit in three days.

Food was pretty tasty however the service wasn’t the best, took 90 minutes to get our mains out and 30 minutes on a round of drinks. They did take the price off the bill for the round of drinks which is appreciative however still a bit disastrous that it took that long

We are from out of town. Often go to Akiba. I would like to see the Lux Feed Me Menu., morph with a few different dishes.

Always a great experience. As a cafe owner and long time hospitality customer service trainer from Melbourne, I lament Canberra's poor service. Akiba is the only place that has consistently great customer service, and delicious food. Keep up the good work!

Dined out to farewell our son who was returning to the Army in Brisbane. Piked out on picking from the menu and went for the "Just Feed Me" 8-course share plate option. AKIBA catered for my wife who's a veggo.

Food was varied and plentiful. Staff were attentive and helpful.

Fantastic food and drink in a vibrant, energetic setting. Highly recommend and great for a quick bite to eat as they keep in line with Covid19 safety.

Our waiter that evening was awesome, very knowledgeable with the drinks menu and was so friendly.

Great venue, some very good staff. I would definitely recommend the place even though we didn’t receive the usual level of service.

My wife and I only ate vegetarian dishes, so I can't comment on the full menu. In general, the dishes lacked some of the flavours and finish expected from a top restaurant.

However, while the food was only okay, the service was excellent.

As always a great experience, with excellent survive and great food.

A delicious meal and the staff were just lovely. Especially Leita, she couldn’t have been more helpful or personable.

Arrived early, table was available but for some unknown reason we could not be seated till close to our scheduled time. The margarita was small but expensive @$18. Food was very tasty and table service excellent.

What a wonderful thin it is to have a full coeliac menu. Absolute luxury. And the dishes themselves are wonderful - texturally varied and perfect, wonderful layering of tastes, perfect portion sizes and swift and pleasing presentation. Love this place.

One of our favourite restaurants in the City. Fantastic food, great service and good atmosphere. The miso eggplant dish is to die for! Give Akiba a try - you won't be disappointed.

Yummy Japanese Fusion. The fixed price menu was good value. Beers are expensive. $17 for a Sapporo that was made in Vietnam.
Slow beverage service. Had to ask 3 times for our drinks and it took 15 minutes. The second order took 10 minutes. Wanted a third beer but gave up after we were ignored.
The staff are polite but the drinks process is haphazard and frustrating.

Good food, quick service, reasonably priced, trendy venue. Good for dates and groups.

Bai and oyster pancake excellent. Squid was floury and under seasoned and the onsen egg was not nice. Black vinegar sauce on dumplings very strange.

We weren't aware that we had to do the banquet / just feed me. The table would have preferred to pick and choose their own food. Some were happy to do just feed me individually and others would have preferred to pick and choose. Personally I was very happy with the service and food but I am writing the review based on what the entire table thought of the experience and they weren't impressed with the service.

After a small problem with a meal the staff were incredible at handling the little mishap! Definitely the no.1 restaurant in Canberra and would Hurley recommend! Food absolutely amazing as per usual :)

A pleasant evening, I gave 3 stars for service only because the drinks took a while and we like to drink.

We decided to take a friend from Brisbane for lunch,we all thought the food was amazing,the timing for each serve was spot on and the waiter was exceptional.
We will be back.

Akiba has a strong menu full of flavoursome starters and share options. The atmosphere was lovely, with the music at perfect conversation level. The only downside to it was a slight mix up with one of our plates coming with Parmesan when we requested no Parmesan. Besides that a terrific meal with terrific ambience. Thank you for existing.

We will be back. Now one of my favorite places to do. Could do with a few pub style meals on the menu.
