Chef didn’t show any respect for clients. He was very neutral. Food was fine, no questions. They don’t have alcohol license, be prepared! Very small place, only bar table for six people - very nice concept for whom looking for very quiet place and it was.
Ahi Sushi is great! Quite unique, outstanding fish presented by a master. Omakase is a must. The place is tiny, and you need to bring your own booze but go! At once!
Best sushi in Miami !
Ahi Sushi is definitely a gem. My wife and I had the omakase tasting menu and everything was delicious. I would highly reccomend.
Ahí Sushi/Chef Brian were amazing. What a great first Omakase experience. My only feedback is for the young lady, one of two servers, assisting during the service. She was visibly annoyed/exasperated for being there. Kept on checking her phone i was a server once & I like it can be overwhelming. However, being that the location was so small & the service was held in an intimate setting...she shld perhaps consider another gig or excuse herself. That’s all. Otherwise, loved it.
The chef is amazing! Real Japanese sushi - This was my second time there and I will continue to go just for the chef and his creativity.
Amazing sushi experience!
The absolute best!!
Omakase. Food was incredible. All the flavors are so delicate, each piece outstanding. Intimate experience. Outstanding and friendly service. BYOB no corkage. Definitely recommend and will be coming back.
Excellent find on CALLE 8. I wish it hadn’t taken me so long to get here! Don’t wait! GO!
This place never disappoints! The omakase always hits the spot and so well-curated by the chef. Nice that you can also do a la carts- equally as delicious. The staff is incredible- super friendly.
Fantastic quality sushi. Definitely recommend the Omakase.
The experience and food was amazing! I recommend anyone to go. Best Japanese restaurant in Miami.
The omakase was fantastic. It was an amazing experience that I would definitely do again. The flavors were exquisite, I've never tasted sushi like this. I wanted to relish each bite just a little longer, not exaggerating! Best sushi I have had outside Japan. I brought my own sake as they recommend since they don't have a liquor license, the server kept pouring for me and kept it chilled. You definitely get what you pay for, pricey dinner but so worth it!
Best Sushi Experience!!!
Awesome food and awesome staff. Chef Bryan is very professional and knowledgeable.
Amazing sushi! Super cozy!
This place has ruined my life! I cannot eat sushi anywhere else in south Florida! The omakase will blow your mind. A must do! You won’t regret spending the money.
HIDEN GEM ! The fish was very fresh, and the rice was perfect. The service is excellent, both the waitress and sushi chef were very nice and wanted to make us happy. Tiny but very nice and clean place !
Always a win in my book! I will keep coming back again and again. A splurge!
If you want to have vip experience, this is the place and the food custom made special just for you 👍👍
Business meal Or dating great choice
The sushi is super fresh and delicious. We are always more than satisfied with the food and service at Ahi Sushi. We highly recommend it, especially the omakase, which are dishes selected by the chef, the meal takes 1 1/2 hours to complete, and it consists of about 10 small dishes. It is a little pricy compared to a regular sushi restaurant, but this is no ordinary sushi restaurant, in my opinion. It is well worth it!
We have been to Ahi Sushi 3 times in the last 2 months, twice for omakase and once a la carte. The omakase sessions were superb, with a mix of standard and creative dishes, well prepared and nicely plated, and all of the fish was of excellent quality. At $80/pp for 9 to 10 courses it's not cheap, but is good value, and we eat a lot of Japanese food and I can confidently say you won't find better for less in Miami. The a la carte menu is very basic, so if there's something specific you want, you should ask for it. The chef will happily take requests off-menu if he has the ingredients on hand, and if he doesn't, will suggest an alternative. If just want basic rolls you can get them cheaper elsewhere, although they probably won't be quite as good.
The place is tiny, with 6 seats and 2 more in a pinch. There is one chef and one host/server who have been the same each time we visited. They are personable and good at taking cues, so if you want to eat in silence you can, or vice versa. Lastly, they are BYOB with no corkage fee and it sounds like there are no plans to get a liquor license. We like that because we're happy to bring our own and save the money, but if you forget there are a few different wine/beer/liquor stores nearby on Calle Ocho.
My third time here. Great experience overall. A little disappointed at the price increase from $60 to $80 for omakase and $5 charge for a small bowl of rice.
This place is hands down the best sushi in miami so far. The place is tiny and so quaint it's perfect for a special occasion or a quiet romantic setting. Usually lunch does not serve omakase but we went durring father day weekend and they had it available. OH MY GOD this was amazing. The tuna belly melted in your mouth. The makeral was perfection and the hamachi in plum sauce had me at awe, the layers of flavor were out of this world, just when you though that one piece mouthful had all the flavors you could get. The japanese plum paste just punched your taste buds and brought out the flavor of the fish all over again. perfect place and a little gem in the heart of little Havana.
This was our third visit and we are already planning the next one. This time we brought friends to celebrate my birthday and it was an extraordinary wonderful time had by all! We were all so impressed and I was proud to have chosen such a great spot. Most delicious sushi omakase experience! A definite must!
The experience overall was lovely. Love that it was an intimate setting, can see the meal prep and the courses were beautifully prepared. Service could use a a little work but overall a wonderful omakase experience in Miami.
I hope this remains a hidden gem, because it was one the best sushi experiences I’ve had in Miami. Certainly the freshest and most authentic one. I want to come back for the omakase menu, I was only able to do a la cadre because I didn’t have the 90 mins that the omakase experiences takes.
It's good but it's not a real omakase. Some small details off.
The restaurant and culinary experience was both engaging and entertaining. The fish was remarkably fresh, different, and tasty. An intimate experience for anyone wanting to expand their sushi pallet. Would absolutely go back and recommend to friends and family.
Great experience! Best in Miami!
The best sushi I’ve had in Miami. The fish is very fresh and well prepared. The presentation is also very beautiful. We opted for the tasting menu, and it was out of this world. I highly recommend this place.
A local unassuming spot with the most Amazing omakase experience in little Havana! I was stuffed after the meal. Got to try different types of fresh great quality seafood. This was my 3rd time back and it never disappoints. Great to take someone to impress. Very small space and must reserve in advance.
Omakase dinner was just as phenomenal as last time. I’ve shared a few photos, but wouldn’t to give up more than that. This is a must-do, the experience along with exceptional food and service.
