The 4 of us made reservations on line, were immediately seated, and proceeded to have one of the best dinners of our lives. We all have been to Italy and so knew what we wanted. We shared several plates. They were all flavorful complimentary and delish! Must have the Risotto. Best we have ever had. Will be back soon w husband's and other friends!

Not really a complaint, just an average restaurant that I wouldn’t likely eat at again.

Service was excellent and the place was very nice, but the food itself was rather bland given the price. Outdoor tables were so rickety you could barely eat on them, would be fine for drinks though.

The menu is unique and not traditional Southern Italy cooking. No meatballs! No lasagna, cananoli, etc. Waiter was aloof and not conversational. We have been looking for a good Italian restaurant in Seattle. This is not it.

Having enjoyed dinner at Agrodolce, thought I’d try it for a business lunch. Excellent dishes, promptly served by a nice and knowledgeable wait staff.

Best service and really good food. The server made us so comfortable and came up with a fun alternative when our mixer of choice was not available. She also made it possible for us to get dessert, even though it is not available during brunch. The food was wonderful. Great texture and complexity of flavour. The chef has a great palate and was so kind to fix us a dessert. It was just two of us, but groups could be accommodated. Highly recommend and we will be returning.

The service staff were overrun for such a busy day/ known event. They did the best they could given the circumstances. Our food orders arrived after 1.5 hours of waiting. Some orders were undercooked or just incorrect. The bottomless mimosas were the redeeming factor.

I wanted to try the restaurant now that Maria Hines sold it to her Chef. Overall it was a disappointment in terms of the food and the service.

Service was friendly and accommodating although he kept referring to me as “miss,” and had a habit of answering my questions with a question.

We ordered the asparagus with the sauce on the side. Asparagus is in season so I had high hopes. It tasted burnt and had a gummy texture. I think it was pre-grilled, then heated up to order.

I also ordered the carbonara, subbing with Manni’s fresh gf pasta. I really appreciate that they serve Manni’s. However the pasta dishes arrived while we were eating our first course. When I switched my small plate for the pasta, I saw there was a raw egg yolk at the top of the bowl. No explanation when it was served, just pasta dish going cold with a raw egg.

I mixed it up and noted liquid in the bottom of the bowl. When I tasted the dish, the guanciale was over cooked and it was oil in the bottom of the dish. I ate it, didn’t send it back as we had time constraints.

They offered to make me something else, which I declined. Apparently they consider it a deconstructed carbonara, which doesn’t make any sense. They gave a discount on the pasta which wasn’t necessary but very nice.

My dining companion thought there were way too many olives in his tagliatelle puttanesca.

Nice people but I won’t be going back.

This is our third time eating here and the pasta was not as good as in the past unfortunately. All dishes were a bit over cooked and seemed drenched in oil or over salted. Would try again to see if it was maybe just an off night but both other visits the pasta was perfection!
Service was great and we had the whole restaurant almost to ourselves so there was no wait even on a Friday night.

We have enjoyed our brunch at Agrodolce before. Multiple times.

This was the first time we had their Prie Fixe menu for Mothers Day. The menu was $40 pp including children. No kids menu on Mothers Day ... of all days. The food was disappointing to say the least. To start off the salmon salad (otherwise hard to go wrong) had microscopic slivers of fish. We have had Eggs Benedict innumerable times but never one without ham and never with an entire bunch of spring onions on it. The fava beans dish was basically charred whole beans on the stalk with nothing else to taste. We thought after all the Hazelnut cake would make up for all the prior dishes. But alas what was served tasted like Gluten free bread!

I would have given the eclectic menu the benefit of doubt (and varying tastebuds) had the food at least contained the right quantities and types of ingredients to justify the price. Sorry to say, but crudely put, the meal was a rip off.

We attending Mother's Day brunch. It was a fixed price meal. We were not advised in advance that it would be fixed price. The service was ridiculously slow. Servers were hard to track down. Food was average at best.

I know Mother's Day Brunch is not a typical indicator for a restaurant. So, there is my caveat. But, I deliberately chose this for a fixed prixe menu because I thought the food and service would be more focused with a limited menu at an established restaurant.

Ultimately, I got a small salad - the size of a saucer dish - eggs and a two small scoops of melted sorbet. It took over an hour and half to get the second course (basically scrambled eggs with mushrooms and asparagus). I saw at least two tables leave with bags of food because their service took too long and they had small kids who had reached their expiration point.

My latte tasted like coffee with foam on top. The server replaced it with iced tea for me and still charged for a latte on the bill. The bill arrived for over $100 for brunch for two people (no drinks, except for the ice tea). I have never been to a restaurant where they automatically include gratuity in the bill for two people for breakfast, either. (I am a generous tipper in general - but felt a bit taken advantage of this morning).

It was as disorganized of an experience as I have ever seen at an established restaurant. Truly notable. I really wanted to like this place - but ultimately, it was pretty disappointing.

Mother’s Day fixed price. Ridiculously slow. Three courses delivered an average of 45min. Apart. Food was delivered to the table cold. When we complained replacements were made but didn’t include the up charge items we had ordered. Even when hot, scrambled eggs shouldn’t command $45 and drip coffee shouldn’t cost $5. Truly a disappointment.

We had passed by the "Fresh Pasta" sign that's hanging in front of the restaurant a number of times and had always been intrigued. We were in the area on a Friday night so we went ahead and booked a reservation for an early dinner. The first thing we noticed when we entered the restaurant was a very noticeable fishy smell. I know they have a number of seafood options on the menu, but the smell when entering was off-putting enough for both of us to take note before sitting down. The overall ambiance wasn't bad, with large windows and a quiet atmosphere. The service was prompt and although they did push drinks, it wasn't excessive. We ordered two pasta dishes and an order of their fresh focaccia bread. The bread came first and was fairly underwhelming. Focaccia is typically light and airy but this offering was very glutenous and dense. The flavor wasn't too bad, but it wasn't focaccia in my mind. The first pasta we received was a pesto cavetelli. The pesto itself was fairly fresh and herby tasting, but didn't have much depth of flavor beyond that. The thing that threw the dish off though was slivers of lemon rind mixed throughout. The hint of citrus but overall bitter taste they added were a definite negative to the dish and lead to most being picked out before finishing the plate. The other pasta dish we received was supposed to be a black pepper bucatini carbonara. I say "supposed to be" because the rich creaminess that you would expect from a cabonara was completely missing. It almost seemed as if they had forgotten to add the egg in the last stages, leaving an oily plate of hard noodles with a few shavings of parmesan. The guanciale included in the dish was the lone highpoint, but was overshadowed by the other issues. Lastly, the pasta itself. For what was supposed to be fresh pasta, it was very dry and on the not cooked side of al dente. Simply put, we now know that the "Fresh Pasta" sign is a facade at this point and we won't be returning.

Agrodolce until recently was a reliable good-to-great neighborhood Italian restaurant. The restaurant has recently been sold and I fear that the new owners are not super interested in retaining the great experience Agrodolce once was known for. In this case, the restaurant accepted my reservation request through OpenTable for a 9:15pm seating. We arrived 8 or so minutes after making the reservation (and before 9:15) only to find the door locked, but with lit candles still on the tables. Clearly, they just wanted to just go home and didn’t care how they inconvenienced us, even having accepted the reservation only 8 minutes before. Very disappointing to witness the decline of what was once a great neighborhood place.

The whole process of how their Eastter Brunch is set up is very deceiving. The menu looked good so online it said get tickets. I put out my credit card and was told the bill was 105 dollars for the three of us. When we got there the place only had one table of customers and I wondered why I even needed tickets. They said I hadn't paid online it was they run your credit card for the reservation. The food was pretty good but their menu had substitutions from the online menu, salmon was replaced with trout, and there was no proscuitto on the first course. In addition, the portions were small The service was average. When the bill came they had added a 20% gratituty. There was no mention of this online anywhere. The server made no mention of it while serving us until she brought out the bill. When questioned, it was in small print at the bottom of the menu. They added this to our total bill and they charged tax based on this amount. With this process, we actually paid 25% for the gratituty. On a special day, based on religion, it is sad that these deceiving practices need to be in place.

The food was fantastic however the service was seriously lacking, so much so I will likely not return. For how much it costs to dine here I expect more. They seemed a little understaffed, which I have a lot of sympathy for, but that is no excuse. It took over two hours to get in and out, which is just WAY to long. The waiter commented that it was because of a large table in front of us...but the drinks took FOREVER too and the group was really not that big and almost no one else was there. I hate leaving poor reviews but I left feeling too upset not to.

The dinner started out well and the appetizers were tasty. The waitress was really pushing the alcohol throughout the meal even we had ordered a bottle of wine. Entrees took too long and were cold. Desserts were unimpressive and almost an afterthought.
Waitress sort of disappeared as the meal progressed and the other waiter took over out of necessity. They appeared understaffed. I was charged for an item I didn’t order but it was too much hassle to even bother having it removed.
I won’t be returning!

I was disappointed with my experience at Agrodolce this weekend, I ordered the seasonal hash for brunch, which I was told would contain romanesco and onion as the seasonal ingredients. The dish I received literally had about one tablespoon of tiny romanesco bits distributed throughout, along with a lot of fairly tasty, but greasy potatoes and onions. For $17, I thought this was a terrible value , and the portion of romanesco was comically small.

Our Waiter Anthony was the highlight of our meal. He stayed close when we needed him but gave us space when we were doing just fine. It was uncanny how he knew how to take good care of our party of 5. The food came out hot and delicious. The bloody mary was the best I've eve had. Compliments to the chef and especially our waiter.
