Amazing. Afternoon tea was really special and so much food! Loved it!
Salubrious venue, superb service from all staff and fantastic food 10/10
Treated mum and guests to afternoon tea before Cirque du Soleil. It was a beautiful experience and well worth the treat!
I love their seasonal menus! & The valentine's day one was so well designed and yet delicious, it really made me feel special about the day!
The service team was full of energy and courtesy. The pianist played songs that all tailored to the theme of valentine's day, I loved it!!
Outstanding service in an atmospheric location reminiscent of a bygone age of dining
Absolutely first class way to spend Valentine’s Day with my Husband. It was our First time in the Oscar Wilde lounge and the staff went out of their way to make you feel special. Menu choice was fantastic and the Valentine cakes which accompanied the Afternoon tea were exquisite. The pianist playing in the background was also a nice touch to a great romantic Valentines Afternoon tea.
Valentine’s Day celebration.
We were celebrating a birthday and were surprised when a cable was brought to our table and the pianist played 'Happy Birthday'. Very thoughful. We will be having afternoon tea again in the not too distant future.
I really enjoyed afternoon tea. I arrived early but they took me right away. It was a very nice experience.
Afternoon tea at cafe royale is a wonderful experience which I would highly recommend.
Great selection of teas and food (the cakes were exceptional) in a classy setting. Best place I’ve visited for afternoon tea. My only comment has to do with the sitting arrangements (!). Found the chairs uncomfortably low - maybe something to consider at the next refurbishment.
Everything was perfect.
I know they were being true to an era, but the seats are too low to the ground.
Ansoloutely worth money. Very friendly abd ‘correct’ staff, good adherence to protocol. Great atmosphere, and superb food.
Absolutely recommebdable, and a new London Tradition for me.
Wonderful venue, super friendly welcoming staff and amazing food.
My husband and I are real fans of afternoon tea and have been to all the great places not just in Britain but around the world and we rated this venue really highly.
Had a lovely time, not cheap but great for a special occasion.
Lovely experience- staff couldn’t do enough & looked impeccable but were also extremely friendly
Would definitely return
It was my wife’s birthday and the team went above and beyond for us
Having had many afternoon tea in London including the ritz and claridges in my opinion cafe Royal has comes out top was a wonderful afternoon
bit early arrival -no props booked a table for our son to celebrate his birthday in London with a friend - smashing afternoon tea great afternoon & memory - w’ll be back
We were a party of 4. I gifted this to my mum & aunt for their Christmas/Birthday presents. From start to finish the service was fantastic! Erisa & Madelina - Thank you for making the experience even more wonderful! The food, champagne & teas were sublime. Alongside the information you provided! I would highly recommend Cafe Royal for afternoon tea!
Over all very concept-like product. Service was orchestrated and when listening to other waitresses/waiters beside ours, the service was VERY,VERY concepted. We did not appreciate that, because we felt we're in Disneyland. On the other hand, there were enough personal to assure fast service.
Taste of the products were ok but nothing sensational. Any item did not " stand out", so the experience was, as said OK.
But, even as short/tall as just over 6 feet, the chairs were extremely uncomfortable. To sit almost two hours in very low and small chairs made us feel like sitting in dollhouse..:))
However, sometimes you get lucky and sometimes unlucky. We choose an other venue next time to enjoy our afternoon tea. If you're less than 5´8" you could probably enjoy Oscar Wild venue as well.
Amazing place, would love to visit again!
The food was great and the ambiance is just magical!
Sublime experience. Staff were excellent & explained each item of food served, which were related to H.M Victoria in some way or other. Stunning decoration with a piano player also.
This was such a beautiful experience from the service, the food and most of all the ambiance. There was a pianist who was incredible and really brought the experience to the next level. The service was amazing and staff was very knowledgeable. Overall I would 100% recommend. Such a beautiful place. A little on the pricier side but worth every penny.
Beautiful venue, late afternoon booking which meant the room was not too busy
Gentle background music from the piano not at all intrusive
Looked after by Erisa who could not have been more attentive and ensuring that everything was just perfect
Opted for vegetarian selection which Went down a treat accompanied by a glass of champagne
I could not recommend enough
Amazing afternoon tea, you definitely get what you pay for!
Surroundings and ambiance superb, super value, staff extremely attentive.
What a wonderful place to have afternoon tea, a truly excellent experience.
All staff was nice!
Food was tasty!
Atmosphere was amazing!
I've been to many afternoon teas in London and this was by far the best one. Attentive waitresses and waiters. Excellent food and ambience. We were able to have a refill of sandwiches and try different teas. Would highly recommend and go back again.
Service was superb. Very pleasant and proper experience.
Had a number of Afternoon Teas in London now, and the Oscar Wilde Lounge has to be the best experience thus far. The staff deserve particular praise!
Five Star, fabulous beyond all expectations! Very worthwhile and excellent service and food.
Brilliant location and very nice arrangement of all.
It was a delight from the moment we arrived. Kind staff who took our coats and showed us to our lovely table. Excellent service regarding the tea and food. Everything explained superbly. Food was delicious. I would recommend a visit to everyone
this was far most the best afternoon tea I ever had!
food was outstanding and service too. unfortunately I can not mention the names of the waiters because I lost the note with their names, but they were so kind and attentive. my friend could not have any alcohol, but she was proposed an outstanding non alcoholic champagne.
This was a lovely afternoon tea. Exquisite service. The room is very nice. Food and tea were well worth the fee.
Fantastic afternoon treating my family. Well worth it for a treat, service, food and drink and ambiance was excellent
Fantastic setting, food was amazing would highly recommend for a special occasion as it’s pretty expensive!!
Amazing experience in a wonderful setting. Best afternoon tea ever!
This is a small tea room. The ambiance is nice, but depending on how close you are to the piano, it can get a little hard for quiet conversation.
The chairs are low to the ground, so the tall ones in the party struggled a bit with the seating.
We had the festive menu. The game pie was very good, but the sandwiches weren’t great. We liked the salmon, but the duck was on gummy white bread and we found the turkey dry. The desserts were again, ok, but nothing was stand-out.
The service was really good, however. We found the wait staff friendly and attentive.
Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend it over some other tried-and-true tea spots. If you’re prepared to spend £60 plus for tea, go to Claridge’s.
