Afternoon Tea at Brasserie Max
We waited for over an hour to be served our afternoon tea. On a busy Saturday before Christmas they were "unprepared" for the amount of guests they had. Our tea was cold by the time our food came, and we had to request new pots. Finally we were offered complimentary champagne for our bad experience. The food was decent, but not worth the wait.
I caught up with friends over afternoon tea at Brasserie Max. The staff were very helpful, especially for my friend who brought her baby. The sandwich selection was on a traditional theme. The scones were delicious with two types of jam and plenty of clotted cream. The patisserie were interesting flavours and a good selection. There was more than any of us could eat. It would have been nice if the teapots were refreshed, but I would still go back.
Fantastic spot for afternoon tea in London at a really great price! Ambiance and service were impeccable. Highly recommend.
