Everything is great from the sandwiches to the scones to the truffles at the end. Wanda makes the experience thoroughly enjoyable. I never miss having Afternoon Tea at The Phoenician when I'm in Phoenix!
The food was absolutely outstanding. Four courses of the best food in the valley!
This is our 4th year coming to the Phoenician for Afternoon Tea to celebrate my best friend’s birthday. We’ve tried other places, but nothing compares to Tea at the Phoenician. The tea is incredible, the food is delicious, and the staff are very polite and attentive. Wonderful atmosphere - beautiful remodel recently. Highly, highly recommend! The experience is worth every penny!
Always a beautiful, delicious experience. Natalie and Wanda will make sure your tea time is excellent. Highly recommended. THE BEST afternoon tea in Phoenix. You won’t be disappointed.
Tea at the Phoenician is always a delightful treat. The food is interesting and delicious, the service attentive without being intrusive and the live piano music is a subtle background for your conversation. The view is hard to beat as well.
I have attended afternoon tea at the Phoenician several times and the Champagne Saturday was up to par. The staff is polite, friendly, professional and outstanding. The food was just as great as it is during tea and we were pleased beyond compare with the entire evening. We were celebrating a birthday and they made the birthday girl feel special with a lovely cupcake and candle. It was a nice reason to dress up a bit, share some lovely food and champagne and enjoy a view of the valley!
Afternoon Tea at the Phoenician is not to be missed. We went for a special occasion and I can't think of any event or restaurant environment that is more appropriate. We celebrated the end of my mom's care of my daughter in our home since she's now going to kindergarten. Breathtaking view, absolutely delicious food, options for children, took our time and were not rushed, quiet environment with live but soft music, impeccable service. Expensive for sure and we knew that. Not your average meal and well worth it.
Tea at the Phoenician is always a special occasion! The setting is breathtaking with a view of the mountains. The room is beautifully appointed. I particularly enjoy the granite wall and contemporary light fixtures. There is a wide variety of tea selections; herbal, white and black teas. The food is incredible. My favorite are the cranberry scones. Great flavor and so flaky. The desserts are too die for! The two ladies that run the show, Nathalie and Wanda, are amazing and take the experience to the next level. We will be back again and again!
Lovely tea service in a lively locale. Perfect Sunday afternoon treat.
It's a bit pricey for finger sandwiches and tea, but great memories for a special occasion
Afternoon Tea at the Phoenician is such a special treat. Wanda is the best and always makes it an amazing experience
Wanda is amazing. We see her every year for my granddaughter’s birthday. She makes the occasion even more special.
The tea sandwiches were excellent.... the scones and pastries not so much. Scones were dry and while pastries were pretty, they were not good. I would think that the Phoenician would have a superb pastry chef for this event, but not so. And while you would expect a high tea in the summer to be somewhat classy, we were seated next to very young children and some attendees attired in bathing suits and cover-ups. Not at all the afternoon tea we had expected!
Annual girls afternoon tea. Staff were friendly as usual. The sandwiches, scones, and desserts matched with my memories of past years going to tea, which is always good. The Phoenician accommodated my vegan and vegetarian friends, so they were happy too. The vegan chocolate dessert was really good according to my friend and she was super happy with it. We look forward to next year's gathering!
It was really a lovely experience. You couldn't ask for more attentive service and the food was very good. There is an interesting assortment of teas and a delightful selection of finger sandwiches and pastries. It is somewhat pricey, but well worth it when you factor in the service associates. Wanda is wonderful!
Nestled inside the lobby of the Phoenician Hotel, afternoon tea is a place to socialize with friends and family. The meal was delightful and paired well with the wide selection of teas was bite sized sandwiches, scones, and desserts. It was well worth the visit. We will be back!
Best afternoon tea ever. Super nice servers. Great sandwiches n scones
High Tea at the Phoenician was a wonderful birthday treat!
Wonderful experience. This is a real treat. The service was incredible. Wanda looked after us so well and made this experience a birthday to remember.
The venue i s beautiful and the staff was amazing - the grounds of the hotel are lovely. Its pricey, but its a lovely afternoon. A must do at least once.
Had a lovely time! Service was excellent and the piano music helped create a wonderful ambiance.
Love the high tea! Food was good, but the scones were mor like biscuits. The sandwiches were delicious. The desserts looked amazing, but flat on taste. Presentation was spot on! One of my friends ordered the GF menu and it was good, except for her dessert. There’s was only one option and it was a chocolate cake with a lot of coconut and she doesn’t like coconut, so that was disappointing. Should offer more GF desserts. She did say the GF scones were delicious. We were sat in a low conversational table with deep leather seats that you could not lean back in or you would slide right out! Would have been more enjoyable in a regular dining style table. Overall, we had a great time and loved the tea service.
It was a lot of fun to do high tea in a beautiful place with my niece. It was delicious and amazing service. I had a HUGE bug in my martini and I think it was a beetle. That was a turn off but they comped the drink. Other than that it’s wonderful to try!
My friend and I had another wonderful experience at the afternoon tea at the Phoenician. The service is always excellent and the tea itself gorgeous! I would highly recommend it.
While I miss the more traditional setting of the Afternoon Tea at The Phoenician, the service and food remain some of the best anywhere in the World and I do Afternoon Tea all over the World. I would highly recommend anyone who is in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area to take time to visit Wanda and Natalie and the crew at The Phoenician to partake in this truly delightful and delicious experience.
Everything was perfect. My niece, who is 6 years old, really enjoyed herself. She even said she felt like a princess; which was exactly what I wanted her to feel like. She said it was the best day ever and that is exactly what I wanted her to feel like. Thank you so much for making this little girl feel so special.
The tea and food were great, but the service was terrible. The one lady who was serving me would be busy often, but her coworkers were rude and wouldn’t assist me when I needed things. I was often left waiting for long periods of time. I don’t plan on going back, because of terrible service. It’s not worth going.
Wonderful experience every time! Our service was amazing, the food delicious and the teas a lovely assortment for my teens, my mom and me. We were never rushed and had a delightful time.
Elegant, one of a kind. We will be returning for future special occasions.
We have been to afternoon tea many times and it never disappoints. Wanda is awesome and we look forward to seeing her each time we come. We bring guests from out of town and they rave about how nice it is. We look forward to the next time we are able to come
I took my wife to the afternoon tea for her birthday. We have been to a number of afternoon teas around the world. The Phonecian tea is world class. Everything was perfect.
I've been to tea before with friends and thoroughly enjoyed the experience :) This time I brought my daughter to celebrate her 27th birthday. The entire experience is fantastic, food delicious, staff phenomenal and atmosphere on point. Love the piano player. The cost is a bit high for us, so it's a special/occasional event - although feel that it is worth it.
Very friendly staff and nice setting. We had a wonderful time.
I love Natalie & Wanda! Also I appreciate that they sat me at the quieter requested table, I asked for when I booked it online. The only surprise was that I thought now that it was summer, the price was a little less.
We've been going to Afternoon Tea at the Phoenician for nearly 15 years. It's always a favorite of ours for special celebrations like Moter's Day or my wife's birthday. Now my daughter discovered it and loves it too! Probably the best high tea in the Valley!
Would expect gourmet level food for the price and the hotel . The sandwiches were very basic with tuna, Salomon , eggs , cream cheese , plain cheap brad, not the most fresh . Deserts and Tea were ok. Service and ambiance made the experience special.
Everything is very nice. The food, service and general conditions are lovely. I will return as I do every year at least once.
I have been to tea in London and drink tea frequently (4-5 times/week). The black currant tea @ The Phoenician is by far the best tea I've ever had. The tea sandwiches and desserts were not only cute to look at but were absolutely delicious. We were in Phoenix for a girls weekend and this was my favorite part of the weekend. Excellent service, excellent view, and excellent tea. Would do this again in a heartbeat!
We took our kids and it was very enjoyable. Kids loved it and oddly sat with good behavior most of the time.
The food, service, and ambiance made me rethink of afternoon tea. Now I will appreciate my experience. The food was one of the best meals we had on our trip.
