This English-style tavern and restaurant now houses Admiral Arkle's lost maritime treasures.
The menu boasts great gastro-pub English food, with an excellent whisky list, and, of course, wine & English ale.
We are open from Wednesday & Thursday for dinner, Friday to Sunday for lunch and dinner.
So, come on down and learn about the Admiral's adventures with swashbuckling pirates, Poseidon's sea storms, and about the man himself, Admiral Arkle.
Fri, Sat & Sun 12pm til Late
Small serving sizes for the price paid. Buns on sliders (kids menu) had been over heated and were literally rock hard. Would expect larger servings, not a dip sized dish of mushy peas with the fish and more than a small handful of salad. Waitress was awesome, place was pretty much empty at lunchtime when we were there
Did not enjoy this dining experience.
Steak was not value for money, wine was off.
Wont be back.
This place had bright lights, no ambience, theme park like decor and staff approx 16 years of age. The menu is fish & chips style and nothing remotely appealing. We felt like we were sitting in a kids corner of a fast food restaurant. Would not recommend and nor would we venture there again. We left after starters. They should be clear about who and what they are so as not to confuse their customers.
First time we have tried this restaurant an I have to say that we were extremely disappointed with the standard of the food.
And the cost was extremely high for such a low quality meal.
Not going back there.
We had a great dinner for my 14 year old sons birthday service and food were both of a high standard although not did get a little noisy but we will be back
Loved the it. Tastefully done up . Food was lovely . Especially the Yorkshire pudding ..steak was to my liking . Will be back . Lots different places to eat . Bring on spring /summer.
