We choose Adelmo’s because the ambience and quietude allows for conversation and a true European dining experience where people can actually speak with one another and dine, enjoying the quality food. It is one of the few restaurants in Dallas where one can savor the meal and enjoy conversation in the company of other diners who demonstrate decorum
Fabulous food! Fabulous service! Can’t wait to go back !
Wonderful. I’d highly recommend
In addition to excellently prepared food and exceptionally attentive service...there is always a warm, warm welcome by the owner.
This is what make a great restaurant and why I keep coming back!
Excellent food and very friendly. Adelmo’s went out of their way to make our first visit a splendid evening. Definitely will return.
Excellent pate, lobster ravioli, rabbit, Pacific sole, tiramisu and cannoli. Next time I would prefer not to have chocolate syrup drizzled on that fantastic cannoli.
We had spectacular service. Came with a big group for restaurant week. Our waiter even worked with the chef to prepare something vegan for someone in our group. Everyone had a great time. The only issue we had was at the bar, but maybe because the bartender was new. They have happy hour until 9 and nice pours on wine.
90 percent of tables empty when we arrived and 75% empty when we left but we were seated at the worst table for four...smack in front of the kitchen door. And we reserved the week before. Had to ask to be moved and were disappointed at the lack of care by the owner. Very disappointed...have been going there for years.
Delicious and authentic Italian food. Great service!
amazing service amazing atmosphere. favourite place in dallas
Amazing service but the food did take a bit of time getting to our table. But they gave us complimentary coffee and a dessert.
This is a family-run restaurant with an excellent choice of dishes, wines and desserts. We had the brisket ravioli for appetizer and the Osso Bucco for the entre'. Both were outstanding.
Our first time and the overall experience was wonderful. Food was great , service was great and we really enjoyed the quiet ambiance! Looking forward to our next visit!
Great food. Great ambiance. Great wine list. Need I say more?
Came out for restaurant week and wasn’t disappointed. The waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable. The hostess which I also thinks is family to the ownership of the restaurant was very kind and approachable. Portion size was perfect, not Texas size portions. The mango moscato was GREAT!
Thank you! Excellent service and good food. I had the new red wine from Due Santi, the University of Dallas own wine, produced on their Rome campus. Adelmo, one of our favorite Dallas’ restaurants.
Restaurant Week afforded us the chance to test our palate. Adelmo's sounded god and was! Busy at 7pm on Saturday, but with reservation we were seated quickly. Get a reservation! Service excellent. Water, wine, condiments and meal served in timely manner with sufficient time between courses (not true in many places). The pate was outstanding and served as an ample amount with great fig perserves and dijon mustard. If you like pate, this is super. Mains served hot and together. Veal parmigiana very good with excellent tortellini. Wife had wonderful salmon with mushrooms, artichoke and tagliatelle in cream sauce. Portions all large. Cannoli for desert was very good; hard to find in Dallas. Someone heard us talking about our anniversery next week. A surprise desert appeared! Will return.
We have been dining with Adelmo and family for years, they never disappoint, the food, service and atmosphere are always FANTASTIC! I would highly recommend Adelmos for friends get together to a date night slam dunk!
From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we thought after seeing the owners, elderly and delightful personalities, that this was going to be a special evening. Alas, the couple in front of us, did not like their table (they had no reservations), so we got stuck with their crowded small table. We had reservations.
I inquired hoping the waitress would be able and suggest an entree. Maybe it was a bad night, but everything went down from there. It was the worst Italian Food in the city of Dallas. My wife, who wanted Octopus, ordered that dish on pasta. She specifically requested no clams. When her plate arrived, clams were mixed in the dish, and the presentation was horrid. There was a non breaded octopus piece on top and other stray octopus pieces around the plate. The waitress when she realized the error offered to send it back and fix it. My wife, not wanting to cause a scene just said she would make do, until the first bite was spit from her mouth. It tasted like the plastic part of an octopus leg and certainly lived up to it's appearance. Ten minutes later, we asked for the bill, kindly taking most of the food home. Before we arrived where we parked, we left the balance of the food in the trash for a homeless person to have a royal feast. Awful Experience. Not even 1/2 of a star. JB
Great wine by the glass. Beautiful setting. Very friendly and helpful staff. Creme brulee was especially delicious!
The service was slow. We sat down at 7:30 P.M. They did not bring the dessert out until 9:30 P.M. We have to ask several time to have our water refill. There were six of us. We all agreed that the food was not very good: the appetizers were missed and hit - the bisque was good, the calamari was not so good, the terrine de pate was decent , the crab cake was good. The entrees (fish, veal parmigiana , Veal chop) were bland and cold.
Interesting diverse food selections (ex. black spaghetti, rabbit, octopus, veal) in a very noisy but attractive setting, with hustling waitstaff
Food was awesome! Service by our waiter Jonathan was outstanding. Best Italian food I’ve had in Dallas and as a former NYer, I am very fussy about Italian! I’ll be back!!
We really wanted to love this place. For this price range, there are too many options to select from that are well worth the $$
Waited after seated 90mins before entree came out. Device was poor. Don’t know why so slow ie kitchen, waitress etc but diminished the entire experience. Good was really great especially veal chop.
Lobster Ravioli was cold. Food was not that great for the price.
Adelmo's Ristorante is a neighborhood gem!! It has to rate as one of the ten best Italian restaurants in Dallas. Try the Veal Parmigiana with Tortellini Marinara and Tim's Chicken Milanese, both delicious! The Cappuccino Pie is an excellent dessert. Adelmo stopped by our table and we had a nice chat!!
Love going to Adelmo’s and have spent many a birthday there. Great service, food and atmosphere.
First time we have been to the restaurant and found the service and the food excellent! The owner greeted us and conducted us to our table and was very cheerful and happy to see us. Our waiter was prompt and attentive and suggested that we might have order too much food for the two of us.
This will be one of our stops when were back in Dallas.
The food was outstanding, but, they were hosting a large party that made the wait for our dinner well beyond reasonable.
Best Italian in Dallas. A must!!! Food is amazing and the service great.
Adelmo's is a Dallas institution providing exceptional food since they were located on Cole Avenue. Friendly, attentive, courteous and very comfortable ambiance. Keep it going Adelmo.!
Quaint and intimate. Excellent food! We loved the Eggplant Parm and the Lobster and Shimp Capellini was delish with LOTS and LOTS of Lobster. Easily could have split the pasta, very generous portion. Romantic with soft lighting and quiet enough for a nice conversation, enough activity to feel lively and inviting. This was our first visit, we will definitely be back.
Had the osso bucco as main course. Excellent. (They even included a marrow fork with the thick bone of the joint!) Ordered norwegian salmon appetizer. Appetizer was ok. Ordered caesar salad. Same as most other restaurants: fake caesar salad dressing. But generous serving of anchovies. Wine list acceptable; however, there seemed to be a dearth of Italian whites. The Italian white wine my spouse chose was a good one, not great, for the price of $60. Liked furniture, furnishings, seating arrangements. Crummy parking situation.
The best Italian restaurant I’ve been to and I’ve all over the country. The service was amazing , the food was delicious & the staff was wonderful. I will definitely be going back and letting all my friends and family know where to go eat amazing Italian food.
28th Anniversary dinner...
The bread had texture of bread left out overnight...dried out. The olives were yummy!
The gnocchi was fabulous!
The salad was good.
The lobster lasagna and capellini with seafood were disappointing. We just didn’t detect much flavor, and do they make their own pasta?
The bread pudding was really yummy, but served too hot.
Very cute restaurant.
Adelmo's is simply a Dallas dining treat. Great food, great ambiance, great service, and great appreciation that you're their guest! What more could you ask for???
The owners greeted us and the staff were all outstanding. It reminds you of an older Italian establishment.. The sauces were great. My complaint is the pasta was not homemade. After eating in Italy years ago I became a pasta snob and many, many locally owned places serve homemade pasta (or all pasta other than spaghetti is homemade). I would go back and order something other than pasta. The service was excellent. I just like the lighter homemade pasta. If I am going to eat pasta-I want it calorie worthy and not something I could have bought at Costco or the grocery store.
Family owned business with great service and a menu that has options not often found for a decent price.
We always enjoy the food and service.
