acre is a unique space for weddings, events, tours, workshops, cooking classes, community volunteer opportunities and more.
Our glasshouse café is open 7 days a week and welcomes walk-ins. We look forward to seeing you!
Fresh produce, beautiful views and a great sustainable restaurant, complete with roof vege garden and quail house.
We went for a special occasion and while the general atmosphere is relaxed it is certainly a place that one would go both to celebrate and for a relaxed meal. What a surprise to discover such a natural environment up on the roof. Veggies growing in abundance, strawberries cascading out of pots - and you are welcome to have a wander and snack on some fresh little tomatoes from the vine. The food was excellent, the wait staff so pleasant and knowledgeable and the locally sourced wine and ingredients added to the pleasure of knowing that we were eating in an environmentally sustainable way. I and the people we went with all plan to a return visit soon .
Our food arrived at different times and the starter was very bland. The lamb shoulder was not large so quite expensive for what you got. Good ambiance though, wonderful concept and decent sangria.
Beautiful setting with the surrounding rooftop garden and pleasantly surprised by the noise level considering the venue was full. The service was great and the food was a stand-out - beautiful produce cooked to perfection. We will be back for sure!
The salad was basic need more then just pretty lettuce. More menu choice needed. Potential overall very good especially when the view improves. Staff were very good.
We love this place , the service is great and food delicious
The banquet is worth coming here for. Generous portions of good, delicious, quality dishes.
The cafe is too busy and you can't book. The garden is sparse and not very interesting by the restaurant has a good feel. Staff are excellent and the food is good.Worth a visit
Ambience very nice
Luke our waiter was excellent gave good food advice and reliable service
Food is nice but not a lot of choice in medium range and gluten free had very limited choice.
Wine choice adequate and priced quite reasonable.
Dessert menu delicious.
Lovely out look over the gardens on the roof top
Great night, excellent waitress, good food but the steak was unavailable and we were not told about this for approximately 15 minutes. We felt was quiet disappointing otherwise it was a good night with great desserts
Great food, great space, great concept. Signage from the carpark made it fairly easy to find. Worth a walk around the veggie patches. Neat layout.
Prices were a bit expensive for us to have a full meal. We noticed many people there for the evening just to have dessert. Maybe we'll do that next time with a decaf coffee, although they'd run out of that when we ordered it. (Maybe they could duck down to the supermarket and get more next time?)
Very Good Open Plan Dining, big portions, value for money, loved our dining experience, this place and the garden is only going to be bigger and better.
We had an amazing dinner sharing a number of dishes including the delicious tomato tart and chicken ribs. Full of flavour, great portion sizes. The soufflé was melt in the mouth wonderful. The setting was relaxed casual with families and couples sharing the space.
Service was prompt. The food matched the price but some room for improvement. The eating area was fairly noisy. If your looking for a quiet intimate setting this restaurant isn’t for you but still a decent experience.
Valentines dinner was a delight at acre what a hidden gem the service was prompt and friendly and the food was very fresh and tasty as they grow a lot of the produce just outside the restaurant . Myself and my fiancee will definitely eat there again I would recommend this restaurant in a unique setting.
A gastronomic delight further enhanced with fresh produce from the garden, literally! Healthy choices made with love 💔 Relaxing, light filled space and friendly, attentive staff.I will definitely be returning to try more from the menu. 🥕 🍅 🌿 🧅 🐠 🥔 🍓
We ordered the roast chicken for two and it was a lot to eat. Could probably have fed three people. Anyway, it was delicious
Sooo expensive for what we got, food had barely any flavour. The staff were not helpful or welcoming. It honestly felt like I was a burden on them being there.
We had a party of 21 for a celebratory birthday and Claire from Acre Farm was so helpful and accommodating through the planning, I knew it would be a lovely day. It was even better than I had hoped! The set menu meal was totally delicious, well balanced and plentiful. The staff were helpful and attentive and although the restaurant was full we had plenty of space. Everyone loved it and I am sure you will see all 21 of them again and with their friends. Thanks for a memorable event.
The Acre restaurant space was very open and filled with natural light. Very pleasant atmosphere to relax and have lunch. Food was very tasty and dishes were listed under the headings of 'small', 'medium' and 'large' which was really helpful and allowed you to order according to how hungry you were. Good choices available for vegetarian diners. I would definitely go back to this restaurant again!
We sat outside at the east side of the restaurant. Great food & service. A wonderful way to spend a warm Friday evening.
We all enjoyed our first visit, the other downside was that we waited a long time for a meal to arrive. Everything else was wonderful. As I am a local I have been watching the progress of the Brickworks hoping that it would offer something different to the area and with Farmhouse Restaurant and the Cafe (I have visited there) that has happened. Well done done.
Excellent all round would definitely recommend it and will be back
This place is terrific. Great concept, great location, great ambience. The service was great too, staff were friendly and attentive. We gave a lower mark for service, because one of our kids has coeliac disease, and although great GF options were available, they were not clearly marked on the menu, and we did not feel confident that the staff understood the implications. Nothing a little education won’t fix.
We will be back!
We went for lunch on a weekend. The food was beautifully presented, taste great too, good service, very good view with the big windows. Would recommend it... :)
Very enjoyable venue lovely light filled room
Food was delicious and medium serves ample
Lovely restaurant with a view. Very unique for the area. We shared the large plates with a few sides and dessert and have already booked to go again.
Such a fresh, light and bright fit-out to suit the name. There is nothing like it in the area. I’ll be back over and over.
It’s the second time I have eaten there and I do enjoy the food very much. This time my daughter had the mussels and 6 of them were closed. We were able to pry 3 open with great difficulty but had to leave the others, so that was sad. Each sweet came out so far apart that I have nearly finished mine before the other had arrived. The staff were wonderful the first time although the waiter that showed us to our seats really didn’t want to be there and continually called us ewes!! Are ewes right, have ewes finished, not good when you are paying the price we pay. I do love the concept and enjoy the food and will certainly make it my go to.
Great local place. Staff and service good.
Menu somewhat limited
We enjoyed Acre and would recommend it. We were told that they were short on staff, which caused a minor issue, but the staff were very apologetic and friendly and made up for the problems.
The food was great but they really need to work on the service very poor.
Great meal and venue.. Really nice venue and service
Lovely atmosphere overlooking the vege patches in a well lit, open dining area. We had the slow cooked lamb which was the best we have ever tasted and a chocolate fondant that was to die for!
I had lunch with two friends during the week, we all ordered something different. All meals were fabulous, as was the service - couldn't fault it. The only issue we had was the room was far too hot which made it uncomfortable. It was a 30 degree day outside but overcast. Loved the setting, inside and out and I look forward to dining here again.
The furniture and ambience does not match the prices charged. Also whilst the food was well prepared, the dishes are not complex or very sophisticated and do not warrant the high prices of this restaurant.
The waiting staff were just okay. When you are paying top dollar all areas including wait staff need to be fully across everything. 3 of our 4 dishes arrived and then we had to wait for the fourth dish. We waited more than 10 minutes for our wine to arrive after ordering.
Was a disappointment unfortunately. The food we had was good but it was let down by the poor service. Our entree arrived before our drinks and our mains were brought to our table whilst we were still eating our entree. Acre is charging close to fine dining pricing however it is not close to delivering fine dining food or service. Hopefully these are teething issues as the concept is a really good one.
This is a new neighbourhood eatery recently opened & so we thought we’d try it out. Lovely concept & location perched on the rooftop of a new shopping centre. The restaurant has a nice ambience & was packed on a Sat night. The food was tasty except for the eggplant spaghetti which was a bit bland. The desserts - tiramisu & pannacota were so good ! Will def be back with some friends.
The food was delicious, so fresh, beautifully prepared and interesting menu. I was impressed all around
Great place to celebrate a birthday. Amazing garden views showcasing wonderful ideas. Would definitely recommend.
