We support and partner with a small collection of local farmers and producers who are passionate about their product. The animal proteins we use have always been ethically reared, and we only select in-season Australian fruits and vegetables, and not necessarily the pretty ones.
Ultimately we want to serve you beautiful food that hasn’t traveled far to be on your plate, that tastes as fresh and delicious as it possibly can, because it’s been produced in
the right way.

Service was great and friendly. Some plates missing items from servery. Great location and ambience but food was a little 'ordinary' - The choice of spinach or ham for the Eggs Benedict seemed odd. Maybe it's the current restrictions but you have done better in the past
This is the second time I've been to acre and really enjoyed it again. We had the fathers day lunch set menu which was great value for money and we had wonderful service. Their dry rosé is lovely too!
Nice spot to eat with a family although on this occasion (Father's Day) the service was poor and hot meal was served cold. I personally would have brought this to the attention of wait staff but others in my party did not want to make a fuss. Unfortunately it was a gift from my daughter (not part of our group) who had visited before with a great experience.
The setting is lovely. My friend and I sat indoors on a Saturday night during the Covid-19 restrictions, to which only cursory adherence was demonstrated. The wait staff were very pleasant but far from top notch professionals. We were happy to have a set menu, but were ultimately really disappointed at what was served. Some offerings were delicious (the soup in particular) but generally I thought the food was pretentious and contrived. Servings were far too small (the soup was served in a large coffee cup!! which was only half full). My friend chose the trout and said it was scrumptious. I was disappointed with the small, fatty rib flaps of lamb presented to me in a too sweet, glutinous sauce, with a side of what looked like packet chips. Both desserts were pretty ordinary. I live locally and will go back and try again for a better experience.
Set Menu but you can choose from some options for main and dessert. Serving size are generous!
We were there for dinner and the atmosphere was beautiful.
The food was healthy, the service was amazing and the general vibe was great
Great vibes, good food and a lovely experience all round
Big portions. Nice setting, and quiet. Lovely on a rainy evening. Potatoes on main were a bit bland. Loved the entree and snacks.
The food and staff were lovely, And very helpful in accommodating my friend’s food allergies. However, I was annoyed about the fact that when I made the booking, there was no choice/warning about the set menu. It was not until we arrived that we were informed that we were locked into it.
The food was amazing but the service very slow and long wait times between courses. The beer menu needs upgrading.
It was a lovely space to catch up with friends and spend a leisurely afternoon. Good food and very friendly service
I thought the food was excellent and really dood value for money considering the artistry.
Great ambience. We have had several special occasions there - birthdays, graduation.
Whilst the backdrop is just beautiful we left quite disappointed. The coffee arrived cold, the waitstaff seemed very confused by their own processes. The food was also a let down, with the bacon pretty much taken from the packet and popped on a plate.
I wanted it to be so great, but unfortunately it didn’t hit the mark! Plenty of other great cafes to explore in the Inner West!
The food is good and the service is excellent. The ambience is very original. I would only improve the deserts which was a bit disappointing, but the rest was very good.
Good set menu with quality food choice and value. Covid health practises were great, everyone was spaced out, masks being worn by staff. Cocktails were excellent. Had a great time.
We had set menu with 4 options for main. All food was delish! Service was perfectly timed, efficient and helpful. Wine choices well balanced and priced. We will be back.
Always a pleasure. Delightful location year round ... cool in Summer, warm in Winter. Delicious wholesome original fare. Fresh produce and innovative flavours. The perfect night out.
One of my favourite places to go. So glad to have you back post-COVID.
As always, everything we ordered was exceptional, service was attentive and yet understated, and OMG... the cannoli!
We were quite disappointed, despite numerous previous great experiences at Acre.
It's a set menu and courses were just dumped down in front of us with no explanation as to what they were. We also weren't served the beetroot dish for some reason. We understand there was a menu there but it felt very abrupt and impersonal. You get more description from an airline steward. Our waiter had a very thick accent and we found it hard to communicate with him at the best of times.
We were being served the next course when our old plates were still crowding the table.
Our wine was placed in an ice bucket on the opposite side of the table and at times we'd go 5 minutes with empty glasses. We would stand up to top up our glasses and a staff member would rush over and yank the bottle off us as if annoyed we'd served ourselves. We finished the bottle and weren't asked if we wanted anything else so we were happy to leave, really.
The best past was it not being so busy and that we were seated far from other groups but that's hardly a glowing recommendation.
The food was fine - some courses better than others. The cauliflower was excellent but the wagyu we paid extra for was just okay. My partner's was missing the butter element but we couldn't attract a staff member to fix it within a few minutes so he just ate it as it was getting cold. This portion was too large considering we'd had several prior courses - one portion would have done us both with a few extra vegetables.
He wasn't interested in the desserts on offer so went without, which isn't great as we'd already paid for it plus extra for the beef. You can't please everyone I guess. I enjoyed the pavlova but it's a bit of an anticlimax for a nice restaurant to be served a dish you can easily make at home (I had to choose this as it was the only gluten free option).
I wouldn't return for a set menu ever again, this was a really disappointing experience and for an anniversary dinner as well... wish we had gone elsewhere.
The set menu was very nice, my criticism would be we felt the main course could of improved with a side course of chips or salad and the desert was disappointing, cream or ice cream would of helped the dryness. I don't think the set course was value for money. The ambience of the restaurant is always lovely.
As usual, the food and service were both excellent.
As always delightful
The Artichoke Soup was out of this world
Set menu great value for money and the experience wonderful
We had such a lovely experience at the Acre Eatery! The staff were lovely and very attentive, the set menu was curated perfectly (great vegetarian selection!), and the seating was comfortable. Cannot wait to return!
Mains took a little longer then usual, i think we waited a bit over an hour taking into consideration we only had a 2 hour seating time. But everything else especially service was fantastic.
Food serving too slow waited more than 1.5 hour after we had starter
Excellent food, great service good wine! Nothing not to love!
Limited set menu due to Covid restrictions but great choice, with vegetarian options, and plenty of food. Great friendly service. Would definitely return.
My cauliflower was a little burnt otherwise as spectacular as always ❤
Selection on the menu isn't large and fairly simple.
Would have liked for there to be a little more to choose from.
Quality of the food is okay, but would have expected more for the price.
Okay for a night out, but don't expect anything mind blowing.
Kind of like going to an over priced pub.
Really lovely restaurant, in terms of setting and service. Didn’t realise it was a set menu when I booked. Understand that might be due to covid and keeping things simple but it was a very limited choice menu. Food was ok.
We have eaten there more than any other local restaurant. The food is always delicious. We had a set menu (party of 10) as they have just reopened and numbers limited. Only downside was the generous servings - not all of us could face the compulsory dessert !
Great restaurant! big space, set menu is delicious. Great service too
Overall poor quality food for what you pay. Def need to introduce paired drinks to make up for the poor food.
Love coming to Acre. It’s our go-to restaurant for a special lunch out. The porchetta is outstanding. The service is always friendly and prompt. Thanks for another great experience.
Great venue, love the atmosphere, good rustic food
We had a great experience, the restaurant was beautiful and the food was fresh and tasty.
Not great food very overpriced and terrible service.
Beautiful place and atmosphere. The staff were helpful, food was great. Will consider going back again.
Beautiful food in a lovely setting. Very enjoyable for my friends special day.
