This place is always great. We love taking our business partners for lunch there, food is delicous, service is great, and the whole restaurant has so much history. You have to go and experience it
Fathers Day Brunch
My family and I loved this place specially because of the view and airplanes. However, this place is a little expensive to return. But overall it was a beautiful experience.
The place was filthy. I felt like grabbing a vacuum and start vacuuming the whole place. Food was on the floor everywhere. If you are charging $59/person on Father's Day. The place should've been presentable through out the day.
Walked up to host table. The ladies were busy but seemed to handle the guests well. Our reservation was at 12:30. We were seated right away. The waiters and waitresses were very attentive. The food area was a little crowded but doable and granted it was Father’s Day! Overall we had a wonderful experience and enjoyed our brunch.
It was a great Father’s Day lunch with the airplanes taking off just outside the restaurant fence.
Best brunch I have ever been to
94th for brunch is always a great idea. We had a lovely Father's Day meal, as usual. Our server, Melvin, was attentive and very helpful. Thanks for everything, 94th!
94th Aero Squadron at the Van Nuys airport always has an amazing brunch. For Father’s Day they added a beer garden and gave away poster-my 11 year old daughter thought that was sexist because it wasn’t done for Mother’s Day; I wasn’t doing to debate the economic winfall that is Mother’s Day.
The food, service, and ambiance are excellent Sunday after Sunday. My only advice, if you plan to join them for a special holiday Sunday-book ahead time!
We hadn't been to 94th Aero Squadron for many years and thought it would be a great place for a mini family reunion. Since we had a group of 9, we knew reservations were a must. We were seating promptly but that unfortunately was the best part of our experience. Our waiter was inattentive and forgetful. Management had him spread to thin throughout the restaurant and we paid the price. Drinks were slow to arrive, we waited at least 20 minutes before our dinner order was taken. When the food arrived, most everyone's entree was overcooked to the point of being dry. For many, this was their first time at the restaurant and I suspect it will be their last. So disappointing.
Our family had a great time and table was as requested, corner cause we talk a lot. Poor Patrick, our waiter, was swamped though, and food was not all that hot (temperature), but still enjoyable, and we all love the building and decor. Mighty fine selections on menu, and for being pre-Father's Day, our evening was pretty good and definitely a good time. Thank you, we'll definitely return.
Had a fantastic time, food was great, reasonable prices during lunch. Service needs assistance, we waited at least 45 minutes before our meals came. Drinks were slow, in our servers defense, she had a couple of large parties outside, the manager should of provided additional help.
What a wonderful time we had at the 94th! It was our first time, and we were greeted by a lovely lady at the hostess stand who gave us a brief history lesson about the restaurant and explained our dining and happy hour options. She was obviously proud of the restaurant and it's story. We chose to sit in the bar area and were taken care of by Corie, who could not have been more professional or helpful. She greeted us with warm bread and a lovely pesto. There were three of us in the party, and we each had a few glasses of an excellent Sauvignon Blanc while enjoying complimentary roasted potatoes and chips, plus three happy-hour priced food items. We chose the fried calamari, chicken wings, and hummus. Each item was excellent, although the hummus was a little drier than other hummus we've had. Though drier in texture, it was freshly made and delicious. We really liked the interesting history of the restaurant and it's memorabilia, the view of the airport and the planes coming and going, and the bar area was quiet enough for a real conversation. We will definitely return--next time for dinner or brunch.
Sunday Buffet Brunch was excellent as usual. The food selection variety is great and the food is very pleasing in taste. The hostess was friendly, while our server, Melvin, was both friendly and professional.
The service was bad, we only saw our sever a few times as we we getting up and getting our own drinks, water, clearing our own table etc. The food was also poor quality.
No one was at the carving station to carve roast or turkey.
The French toast fingers were stale. The cheese blintzes were a weird consistency. The Roasted chicken tasted like fish. The enchiladas tortilla was stiff. I was afraid to eat the seafood because it smelled very fishy. What I did like - the omelets were made fresh, the fruit was very fresh and sweet, deserts were delicious,Mashed potatoes and gravy were good. Over all not a good value for $50+ dollars.
We sat outside- you do have the plane noise but it is not bad and it’s fun to watch the planes. I will probably go back but not for brunch.
Was a wonderful day for my 80th birthday. Would do it again all over. The food was fantastic.
Fun view of airport
Great service great food!
My grandson really enjoys the view of the runway and WW2 memorabilia. Food acceptable. Service good.
The Sunday brunch is way over priced for what you get. It's cool to watch the planes, but the food was not anything special.
Service was hit and miss. But our server had to cover alot of tables. The crab legs were extremely salty.
wonderful selection of foods, somewhat difficult to hold your plate and the dutch oven lids and serve yourself something. Pom was a wonderful waitress.
Nice experience. It was a celebration of my birthday. Enjoyed some airplane sightings, good food and good service.
The food was great and the hostess was wonderful. The waiter was just ok. We were able to get the early flight dinner and it was a great deal. We loved looking at the old WW2 nostalgia.
Unique atmosphere. Fantastic interior.
View on a not busy Van Nyse airport.
You can observe small jets landing and take off.
Food was good too.
6 people - $400
We had the most expensive dishes, drinks and desert.
Very pleasant experience. I'd recommend this place to everybody.
always a good staff and accommodating. food is tasty and portions are appropriate
Love everything about this place. A little pricey but the food was great and a nice place for something different or a special event.
Only negative is the bathroom's need some updating. They have a little bit of an oder and old.
Will definitely go again.
We enjoyed our dinner sitting next to the window watching the planes fly in and out of the airport. We were celebrating my husband's birthday, and he loved the cheesecake that he got at the end of his meal in celebration of his special day.
Great as always
The salmon was wonderful! Their reward card offered a free meal for my birthday !! The bread was warm and the butter was spreadable....usually the pats of butter are ice cold.
Fantastic place for families to gather for brunch. Great food...always delicious, fresh, hot and plentiful. Servers are attentive and friendly...mimosas were in front of us almost immediately! And if that weren’t enough, you can watch airplanes take off and land! Wish the one in Orlando was still open.
Overall a good value except for children's value is over priced. My grandson had a .59 box of cereal for $20.00.
Food was just ok. Pasta was over sauced and steak over cooked
waiter was excellent, polite no rush to order always a smile
It was very good. They were very busy so service a tad delayed. But they offered a complimentary dessert ,to help with the wait :) I would return for sure.
There were 12 of us for a graduation dinner that started at 9pm. It was fabulous from start to finish.
I just love this place and dining here with my kids is super easy and entertaining for all of us! The staff is fantastic, the options for kids food is also great and there are also great seats no matter where you sit!
I would still recommend for the ambiance but the food was sub standard. It has gone down hill. Come on 94th!!!!
Horrible service, mediocre food at best. The most grossly over-priced holiday buffet I have ever been to. The charcuterie table was laughable. On four separate occasions I had staff simply just be lazy and not want to help me. I mean, all I was asking for was bread. The location was really cool thoough. That's all I have time to write.
Went for Mother’s Day brunch. Food was horrible, service was bad, took awhile after seated for waiter to come and took forever to clear plates off table. Mother’s were supposed to get a rose and none of the 3 moms at our table got one.
