Good food, great service
Incredible restaurant with impeccable service
Have now been here twice, and both times the service and food were excellent. This restaurant also has a wonderful choice of wines. Will definitely be back.
The food is good, the place is gorgeous, but service seriously is really poor , 3 hours waiting for 3 course menu is unacceptable, after this time you lost the appetite and will not feel the desire to go back any more.... For been one of the best restaurants we of course expected what we pay for including service without mentioning the food.
The views and the Ambience were beyond wonderful. But the food and the drinks were just okay.
As soon as we entered the building, the staff was very helpful and polite. We were greeted at the entrance of the restaurant and taken to the table we requested. Staff at the restaurant was very knowledgeable and very polite. Food was great but the view was definitely the best part. Great place to visit in LA!
Service was terrific. Scenery was excellent. Food was good.
Had a good thanksgiving experience. The server was very attentive until the end. Once we finished our courses and the bill was brought over, it seemed we got the cold shoulder. Was strange to walk by her say goodbye and have her not acknowledge us at all. Overall it was a good night and we were thankful that the staff worked the holiday.
The food was delicious and the view was spectacular.
Outstanding view, and friendly and attentive service.
I’ll start with the positives: very friendly hostess, overall friendly and accommodating staff from the bartender to the servers to the waiter. Of course the view was breathtaking but that’s all ‘71 above’ has to offer because the food was extremely underwhelming. We were both quite disappointed especially with the steak that tasted like popcorn. I know from past experiences that restaurants in the sky look fabulous on the outside but shallow on the inside. That’s was ‘71 above’ was to us. Lastly, they add a 20% gratuity to the bill (just two of us) which usually I find annoying, however like I delineated earlier the service was actually okay. All in all I give it two stars and no we will not return.
The city views from this restaurant are unparalleled. The decor was modern and minimalistic. The experience, unfortunately, hit its peak there, before we even began dinner.
The menu was creative and interesting, but none of the dishes struck epicurean harmony. The portion sizes were incredibly small, but honestly, I did not want to eat more of any of the dishes that were served.
The wait time between the three courses of the prix fixed menu was too long (about 45 minutes). We were there for over two hours, most of which was just waiting for next dish. We did not linger for coffee nor dessert.
No one out of 6 people liked the food. We paid a lot of $$$ for food we did not like.
Everything was perfect from the time we walked in to the time we paid
Excellent. Accommodated our wish for a window table!
71 Above was a fun for us adults to get away from the kids. The ambiance is modern romantic. Not only is it a great place for 1st date but a great place take your sweetheart. The view is amazing! The staff was friendly and professional! The food, a 3 course meal, might seem small but we were full by the end of it all. Overall, a great place!!
Great food along with fantastic service. Unbelievable view of the city!
Jasmine was a phenomenal waitress!
We were forgotten and the drinks were just ok.
Beautiful LA view. Friendly staff with good services. Food were good too.
food is average. Others are fine.
71 Above is definitely my favorite restaurant. Not only is the ambience and view incredible, the food is spectacular! The best steak ever!
Overall experience was good. We went to 71 above to celebrate my fiancé’s birthday. I don’t think I will be going there for special occasions. They didn’t do anything for him. The host knew it was his birthday and I expected a candle to come out with the dessert we ordered but nothing came out.
Had a great time, beautiful view, amazing meal with my girlfriend! 🔥
Dinner and service was great, the only thing I have a problem with is not getting a window seat after I made reservations months prior.
The quality of steak was really bad...pork chop was not flavored enough to take away the pork smell.
Everything was phenomenal. One of the best lunches I’ve had in some time.
Staff, especially Kelsey our server, and our sommeliers were amazing. 71 and Above went above and beyond to help us celebrate our 10th year wedding anniversary. We shall be back!! Thank you so much!
Spectacular view. Exquisite food. Impeccable service. A special occasion restaurant. Two course prix fixe menu for lunch has lots of selections and is a pretty good bargain, too. Will return.
Unfortunately food was only average. Among three people in our party ordering different items we tried almost entire prefix menu. Nothing horrible, but nothing stands out. The presentation of matcha dessert was surprisingly unappetizing - green puree looking like baby food. I will not go back.
Awesome place! It is a must experience. You want to impress a date this is the place to do it. Trust!
This is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. I pride myself on being a "foody".....this restaurant any and all expectations. The room, the view, the food, the service, the wine list.......above and beyond! I recommend this eatery as one of the best!
All staff was courteous and friendly. The food was delicious it was like a party in the mouth. The flavors were interesting and refreshing. The atmosphere was heavenly and relaxing. The views were amazing worth every minute experiencing this restaurant. Definitely recommend.
Service was excellent
The door man (unaffiliated with 71 above) was very very rude. It would be my advice to 71 above to have some input into the hiring of the doorman downstairs. Someone with a hospitality background. He soured my whole experience unfortunately.
Food was great although portions are quite small given the exorbitant pricing, presentation is nice, views are amazing.
Good food and a great view, but a bit overpriced
