The first time I went to 54 Restaurant was when it first opened. I was impressed with the food and the service.
This is the second time I dined here. I was so disappointed. The service was subpar at best. Our server spent a lot of time walking around and talking to people as opposed to actually serving tables. And he walked all over creation to bring us the check for which we had handed him a credit card ahead of time. Seriously he was more interested in socializing than doing his job.
Let’s talk about food…the dumplings are apparently hand made in the restaurant, no flavor just bland. The chicken Katsu was over fried to almost burned, oh and it’s like they were chicken finger no real flavor and too much sauce. Grilled beef salad was good, but please cut the beef in smaller slices.
Oh the sushi rolls…can’t even tell you how disappointed. The sushi rice was mushy, I mean so mushy. And special rolls were crammed into a pasta style bowl and so much sauce.
Honestly I will never be back nor would I recommend. Poor service and food at high prices.
We chose the patio where it was a bit louder than desired. Sushi was amazing.
My Son treated me to dinner here, as he had eaten here before and wanted me to try it with him. I truly enjoyed my experience, beginning with the funky, cool vibe both inside and out We began with steamed potstickers and skewers (chicken and pork belly) - all delicious, but in no way prepared us for our outstanding entrees. We had the Onyx Dragon Roll and the Assorted Sashimi platter. . . .which were amazing both in presentation and taste! The meal was enhanced by our server, Nicky (not sure if I am spelling her name correctly - sorry!) who was an absolute delight - friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. My only critique is that the smaller print so, at some point a revamping of the menu would be helpful. Other than this caveat, I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to more family dinners here now that my Son has just moved into this neighborhood!
Service is always great but this is my second time here food was terrible miso was cold appetizer came out 25 mins after ordering and sushi was just a mess went there with my family for our wedding anniversary since it was a weekday wanted some good sushi close by but didn’t work out at all
excellent sushi!!!! Craft drinks were good too. I would recommend this restaurant!
I had the sea bass; it was absolutely delicious. The service was very good. I will go there again soon.
We have eaten here many times. Delicious food and great cocktails.
I would have much appreciated if the servers wore masks. I was not comfortable with the servers being unmasked.
i like the variety of entrees... the rack of lamb and the rock fish are fabulous; we never dine without ordering these entrees !!
The money was not up-to-date. Two of the beers listed we’re not available. And addition there is a certain type of fish that was on the money that was also not available.
Food was good and I will go back for that. Service was okay. Our check had to be corrected twice. They charged extra for beef although it didn’t say anywhere on the menu there is an extra charge. Also charged for 2 tall beers when we ordered short.
Not as tasty and authentic as we were hoping.
There is a lot to try off the menu! The choices are great! Good place for sushi, can't wait to try the other things on the menu!
It was okay, the hostess was rough in sending my friend over to me once I was seated. Not walking her over but pointing and saying “she’s over there.” The server was nice, but that’s about it. The food seemed unloved and tasted like cheap take out. The pad Thai was gummy and the steamed dumplings were quite rubbery. They looked like they were taken out of a freezer bag and microwaved. I’ve have gotten better Asian cuisine at other restaurants. I was really looking forward to to this place because all the good reviews and recommendations. But ended up going to Yard house to satisfy my hunger.
Food and service were excellent! Will definitely come back.
Birthday for my wife Anne. They brought out a piece of cake for her. Very nice.
Restaurant 54 wasn't bad. The food was decent, but nothing to write home about. I really enjoyed the Beef short ribs, but was disappointed they weren't served with any vegetables. The Egg rolls ans dumplings were just ok and the Pad Thai was very bland. We also tried some sushi rolls. Again, they weren't bad, but nothing to make me want to go back. Our server was very cold and didn't check on us as much as we would have liked.
We came as a large party of 10 and they laid out really nice seating for all of us. No wait time so we sat immediately at our reserved time. Our server, Jeff, was awesome and really took care of us. Food was great, I mostly had the sushi and their food plating was beautiful and fun!
The overall experience was amazing. Food was great - sushi was fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented. Apps were also great and the perfect starters. Service was great.
Missed dining in with sushi since Covid closed Kumo to in-person dining. At our table, we enjoyed the sidecar, old-fashioned, and plum spritz cocktails. We also enjoyed the Burning Love and Phoenix rolls, and the 54 Curry, which came bubbling hot in a iron bowl and stayed hot for the whole meal! Will be back.
The food tasted amazing. I ordered California rolls, Tempora, popstickers, and chicken spring rolls. I expected more then 6 little popstickers and 2 rolls. They all still tasted delicious. Server sometimes took a while to check on us but server must’ve had a lot of table to serve. The ambiance was nice. I will definitely be going back!
I truly enjoyed my experience here. My waiter was beyond awesome, the restaurant was clean and we didn’t have to wait forever for our food… Two things that need modifying: please remove those duck rolls from the menu as they are NOT tasty. Also, the color and font on the menu is too faint and small to read, consider making them more legible.
I would absolutely come back and recommend for a good meal and drinks.
Food was good! Service was good! Clean! Price not bad
There's a lot of indoor seating and they have outdoor seating. The staff was friendly. We enjoyed the shrimp tempura rolls. They were a good size as well. My cocktail 54 chambers was refreshing but if you like to taste your alcohol this isn't the drink for you. The pad thai was good but too sweet for me. The avocado rolls were simple and I tasted more of the seaweed than avocado. The wings were very basic and the sauces weren't that tasty.
Good drinks, food was ok not great. Kind of overpriced for what you are getting.
Nice restaurant. Very friendly staff. Food is wonderful! Everything is great! Thank you!
SAMMI WAS AWESOME! Courteous, professional and very friendly.
I recently had the pleasure of doing a lunch meeting at 54 Restaurant with one of our buyers. It was a wonderful experience! Jessica was our server and she took great care of us! I needed my phone charged and when I mentioned this to Brianna, she didn’t hesitate in charging my phone!! I really appreciate her being so accommodating especially with the hectic day I was having traveling all the way from Atlanta Georgia for my meeting! I will definitely come back for more of the tasty food, good ambience and excellent service!! Thank you so much!!
The food was pretty good, and service wasnt terrible with our party of 7. The music was SO loud it was hard to have a conversation.
Beef was near raw. Sent I it back, returned with no difference. Duck was almost completely skin and bone. Had to go find waitress for refills, sugar. Iced tea was almost clear like water. Pad Thai was just three piles of tasteless ingredients. Asked the waitress for the check, she gave it to someone else.
Amazing experience, incredible sushi and food, will be back soon! This place gets a 10/10 from me!
Limited menu, service was lacking, and food was cold. Definitely won't be going back.
Food was OK not anything really special that I would go out of my way for. Our server was excellent though though. Vibe is kind of cafeteria style.
The sushi from Wegman's is better. The waitresses are dressed like strippers. There is no atmosphere as it feels cold and barren.
This was a very nice restaurant. The service was a little slow but great overall as the gentleman my guests and I had was very polite and apologetic for the wait for some of our items. The food was very well plated, good portion sizes, and tasted amazing. If you haven’t been so go and do try their double crunch wings with the gucci gang sauce 😋.
Very good sushi. Service was great. We sat outside but was in a very sunny spot. Asked if we could move into a shaded area and they accommodated quickly. Sarah, our server, was great and anticipated what we needed and was attentive but not overbearing. Great experience.
The staffs are great. Food were really good. I’ll definitely come back with my son because he loves sushi. Overall, I’m glad I heard about this new place and tried it 🥰😋!!
We had a great time and the food was terrific.
Service was quick and very attentive.
The only thing that stopped me from adding 5 stars in all is that the noise was too much. It was a busy evening, full of people, but the music was loud too, so having a conversation with my friend was challenging, I had to scream almost the whole time.
Other than that, the sushi was amazing and the desserts as well.
The food at 54 Restaurant was delicious. We had a party of 14 and everyone was very pleased with the menu choices. The sushi is top notch!
