Roast Prime Rib
I dined on thanksgiving night. Outdoor seating (covid).
Understandably the entire experience was most likely very different in comparison to a “normal” experience at this place.
However, I found everything to be well overpriced. I’m not a fancy person anyway, but was attempting to “treat myself” as I was alone for the holiday. I ended up ordering the “Thanksgiving Special” solely because what I really wanted was the filet, but the steak alone was $54. I was not impressed in the least at any part of the “Thanksgiving Special”. At best, it’s similar to making a plate at a cafeteria. The BEST part, was the butternut squash soup. The one small slice of pumpkin pie was $10. I honestly regret not going with the filet. However, I can find plenty of other places to get more and better for my money. The servers were absolutely delightful and I fault them in no way for my experience. I thank everyone for even being open on thanksgiving.
Service was very attentive to Covid guidelines, and the sidewalk seating was lovely.
We loved it more than other steak houses in the city and will be back! I don’t know what took us so long!
Wonderful meal; fantastic service.
Their food was amazing, and the service was outstanding.
Lamb chops was delicious.
Outstanding as usual. Cannot wait to get back in 2021
It's our favorite dinning spot in Philadelphia. It's also a great place to celebrate a special event.
Service was amazing. And food was just as good. Atmosphere was awesome.
An absolutely wonderful experience once again at 1701. Outstanding.
Great food, attentive service in a beautiful atmosphere. Located in the iconic Warwick Hotel.
Smaller portions than The Prime Rib, but equally delicious.
I recommend this place to any couple looking for a nice intimate diner
This place is awesome. The food was great and the service was awesome. Great way to celebrate our anniversary.
Always perfection even in a pandemic. Only the name has changed.
Wonderful as always
The food was excellent at our dinner Saturday night where we chose to be seated outside. The salads we ordered were large and fresh. My husband had steak, and three of us had the crab cakes. Everyone enjoyed their dinners. Two had dessert - key lime pie and cheese cake - which were deemed excellent. The only complaint was that the service was almost too good, and we almost felt rushed. There were empty tables so it could not have been that people were waiting to be seated.
We enjoyed the dinner and will return.
Went to 1701 for our anniversary last night. Both of us ordered prime rib. Ordered medium rare and was perfectly cooked. Had coconut shrimp and shrimp ceviche for appetizers and both were great. The key lime pie is one of the best I have had. Service and ambiance were great. I recommend

Amazing in every way. Great service. Prime rib as great as always. Sautéed spinach was perfect. Great bread.
The food was amazing rack of lamb was well seasoned nice music playing real true gem in center city
Previously called Prime Steakhouse, my boyfriend always selects this place for his birthday dinner. Year after year they do not disappoint.
Food was delicious, highly recommend the whipped ricotta app!
My favorite Philadelphia restaurant. Excellent food, top shelf service and they make you feel like you are at home. Garth and his staff set the bar for excellence.
Wonderful dining experience, as usual!
Love this restaurant
Prime Rib which we believe to be their signature dish was significantly over rated. Two members of our party who usually order Prime Rib when we go out together ordered it and both were very disappointed.
Excellent food and service on my wife’s birthday. I enjoyed giant oysters and Brazilian lobster tail. My wife had enormous shrimp cocktail and prime rib. All delicious and prepared perfectly. Good side dishes of corn and potato skins. Service was on point and cocktails were very good.
Food very sp
We have been going to locust 1701 formerly the prime rib for years and three of us were there for dinner Saturday night. One person had the chopstick and said it was very delicious two of us had the prime rib medium rare and I must admit it was somewhat disappointing there was a fair a part of it where it was gristly and hard cutting because of the gristle and fat. Both of us felt that to be true and I must say this is the second time this has happened although it's been several months ago.
Great evening celebrating birthdays and anniversary
The food was excellent and the service was Devine.
Went for our 22nd anniversary. Couldn’t have asked for a better evening, or atmosphere with my lady. Carlos did a wonderful job with his recommendations and his service was impeccable. If there was one recommendation for the restaurant it would probably be the lack of mirrors I think it could use a few more.
It was my birthday, they played happy Birthday by Stevie Wonder for me
First time dining in 6 months!! Great food!! Great service!!
Food server was bit slow , and forgot some items
Dined outside on Locust Street Sidewalk. Knew what we were getting into. Service was excellent. Food was good. I remember the prime rib being better when it was The Prime Rib. Eating on the sidewalk of Philly was an experience. Lots of interesting people walking by definitely made for a fun evening of people watching. Quite noisy outside, but we expected that. Staff did a great job of keeping pan handlers (there were several) away from tables. I believe indoor dining in Philly is now back, will try 1701 again.
Service was good, however the food was not as tasty as I was expecting. Overall good place to dine.
