Fantastic, service, the food is made with great care and the flavors divine. A great wine list and tasty cocktails. all that and a great view of the ocean!
My son did not enjoy the breakfast skillet. He said it seemed more like soup. Not what he was expecting.
Amazing! We really enjoyed the experience. Best table, great food!
Nick was a fantastic waiter. Food very fresh and service overall top notch although a little fast-paced.
Wonderful ambience and service. Food was delicious. Highly recommend
The food was good but a bit pricey for a lunch. The layout of the restaurant is a bit snug and alot of folks had to wait at their tables too long to get served. My mom loved it..but I feel there are so many more places that get it right for such a small space. The waitress was great.
Scallops and cauliflower are must try’s! Amazing meal, setting and service.
Our waitress was cheerful, attentive and friendly and the food was just excellent. I was mildly disappointed that despite informing the restaurant in advance that we were celebrating two birthdays, they did not accommodate my request for a view of the water. The table where we were seated was fine, just not what we hoped for.
You're paying for the location so $16 Bloody Marys and $28 plates for brunch are the norm but service is great (as it should be for the price)and an amazing view of the beach make it worth it for special occasions.
Everyone was very nice and service was perfect, both in the bar and restaurant except for the hostess, we had reservation for noon. The not so nice hostess said it would be about 15 minutes, the restaurant was less then half full. We went to the bar and waited 20 minutes, then we inquired with the hostess, she said oh give me a minute. We waited then were seated and said thank you. No reply from the unpleasant hostess. Everyone was so polite, servers, bus people, valet and men sweeping the front. Food was wonderful and the view of the beach was great.
I took my wife to 1 Pico for a date night that turned into a disappointing experience, we live a few blocks from the restaurant and finally decided to give it a try and the service and food wasn’t what a fine dining restaurant should put forth. My wife ordered the lamb chops plate and requested it be cooked well with no pink and sub. for mashed potatoes, the manager then brought out her food and after cutting into two of the chops she saw her potatoes turning red and we figured out that it was blood from the chops. She spoke to the manager before any food came out and requested a different server because the server in our section seemed to have an attitude with every question we asked about the different food when we mentioned that it was our first time in the restaurant, the delivery of his answers were quite off putting.
The manager did remove my wife’s dinner from the bill as she couldn’t eat it and a remake was offered but we didn’t want to stay any longer and was completely turned off by the entire dinner experience and the service.
My dinner companion lives in British Columbia in a rainy environment and, hence, was mesmerized by the views of the beach. That was fortuitous because our waiter acted as if we were not there nine-tenths of the evening. Another couple was seated next to us about 10 minutes after we had been seated. Their order was taken first. Our waiter could not be found so that we could place our order nor was he particularly pleasant when he finally showed up. The food was quite ordinary. Our middle (pasta) course arrived cold. The view, while nice, did not compensate for the stuffiness and noise level in the room. The only time our waiter acted like one was when the main course dishes had been cleared after sitting there for too long and he tried to steer us into dessert. All in all, a disappointing place to bring my visitor.
Lovely setting, food was so delicious we returned for dinner!
The restaurant is hidden and can be confusing to locate
Be aware you will be charged 6 for a basket of 6 slices of bread.
Entrees were good and vegetables cooked beautifully
Probably not a restaurant I would visit again
Go for Lobster Brunch and get the Crab & Lobster Crab-cake. Divine! Ask for Matt as your waiter. He is charming and exceptional.
Never a foot wrong here. We had a great Easter brunch.
Very attentive service and amazing food in a fabulous location right on the beach
We went for Easter Sunday brunch. The restaurant was beautiful. The menu was very limited. Our whole family went and there was not enough options for all age groups. It was also very expensive which normally I wouldn’t mind for a special occasion but it was not worth it. The service was ok. The support of our waitress was great but our waitress was just par.
Very noisy room. Perhaps curtains rugs tablecloth might help. Food was okay but overpriced. Service was good. View spectacular, the room’s major strength.
Great view of the beach in Santa Monica. Food was excellent and service very good. Bit expensive and VERY loud. Parking with the Valet is a sweet $10.
I cannot day enough about the food and the view. Fabulous!
Nobody does Sunday brunch better than One Pico and they always accommodate my request for a table by the window, which is great. Food was delicious as always, ambience can't be beat. It was a little more crowded and noisier than usual this Sunday, which may have affected service a little. Service is usually 5 star, was 3 star this time around. But still a great Sunday brunch experience that I would highly recommend.
Went for brunch to celebrate a birthday, for the price, found the portions to be on the smaller side and some special requests were not met by the kitchen, however the waiter did make up by giving a dessert to us. Other than that though you cannot beat the location and the view out to the beach and ocean.
Food was superb, service was excellent and ambiance is very comfortable and inviting with a magnificent view of the beach. The lamb chops were savory and delicious. The Halibut was delicious and grilled to perfection. Be sure to try the sundae for dessert. It was a unique and an amazing treat.
Food and ambience was excellent for which I would surely recommend the restaurant. Our server was excellent, knowledgeable and pleasant, but return trips to the table especially when ordering dessert was quite slow.
Excellent beach and sunset views. Attentive staff with strong menu knowledge. Food was tasty.
Ambiance and service were outstanding. The food was good. Still somewhat noisy.
Pre birthday celebration
Stopped in for a late lunch - great view, excellent service & delicious food! We ordered from the pre-fixe menu - enjoyed the bruschetta appetizer - so fresh & different than the traditional presentation, and the lobster salad - nice piece of lobster & light, yummy dressing . Couldn’t resist sharing the caramel apple tart, also specially priced. Our server made the excellent recommendations. We’ll be back!
The dry aged steak is awesome
The atmosphere is romantic and quiet.
Definitely I will come back.
Could not ask for a better setting. The staff was polite and very efficient. The food was really good. It made for a nice celebration for me and my employees and I would definitely come back.
Food was delicious, service was good but a bit slow. We were on our table talking and forgot that almost 20 min had passed and no one had come to greet and take our drinks order. The restaurant was not busy. Server was friendly but overall did not check on us a lot. Good vibe in there so I’d recommend.
Our dinner was a small celebration of reuniting with old friends. One Pico was absolute perfection— our waiter was excellent, a real pro. The room is relaxed, gracious, and elegant all at the same time. We could not be more pleased.
Wonderful! Amazing waiter.
Ate here with my family while on vacation in Santa Monica. Great beachside location! Friendly staff and good food.
Everything was outstanding: the location, ambiance, service, food, wine and the sunset.
Lovely meal. Great ocean view. Pleasant service. Great martini
Excellent and delicious
