1 Lombard Street Brasserie

I recall it being better the last time we came. Service a little relaxed, and fish was overcooked.

A group of 6 of us went for breakfast just before Christmas. The restaurant was completely full and there didn't quite seem enough staff to cope with the rush. E.g. we struggled to get service, had to ask for the bill three times and the eggs in the eggs benedict weren't runny. That being said it is a lovely space and I think on a less busy day it would be better.

Fantastic, great service, food, atmosphere.

Slow, snooty and disorganised service. Food was cold when it arrived. Poached eggs over-cooked. one piece of bacon for a full english breakfast. toast cold. refills on coffee slow and grumpy. Generally absolutely rubbish and horrifically over-priced.

We were seated (at a good table) quite promptly which was great. However, we had to wait over 15 minutes to be asked if we wanted a drink, even though my colleague asked two waiters (one I think was a Maitre d' or headwaiter), to be told, 'yes of course one moment Sir...' The restaurant was very busy, with every table occupied but with plenty of staff working - i don't think we should of been left waiting. We also had to wait a little while for our order to be taken - which was fine as we were talking, and when the food arrived, it was truly delicious. Throughout the afternoon (4 hours in total), we did have to catch the attention of the waiters, when it came to drinks and as there were only four of us, the bill (which again, we had to wait for!) was quite a lot of money, I believe the staff (who I must say were very pleasant) should be more attentive.

Our waiter was STROPY. It was very noisy. I would not return.

My guests and I were disappointed in the quality of food. The food was stale, cold and ordinary. I appreciate that it is the Christmas period and the restaurant was very busy; nonetheless to serve food of such poor quality (at any price) is unacceptable.

It was a busy lunch service but that shouldn’t be an excuse to be left waiting to be seated despite asking on more than one occasion. The ambience is great but the service less so.

My experience at Lombard Street Brasserie last week with two friends was very poor. Staff were rude, surly and unfriendly. Food was over-priced and nothing special, the table was not ready and the worst thing was that the restaurant added a bottle of prosecco to the bill and didn't apologise when we pointed out the mistake. I would never return.

I've been to 1 Lombard Street a lot in the last 6 months, predominantly for business lunches. The last 2 trips have been serious disappointments at a restaurant that was hitherto my default choice. Over cooked food, very slow service, a "tomato and lentil " main course salad which was 99% (cheap, under seasoned) lentils. Has the chef changed?

Very nice food, good service, but very very loud. Could be improved with some sound muffling.

It is fine for a good lunch, I think dinners get too loud for the type of restaurant.

I was very happy inviting my colleagues here. It is a superb venue and one that I have been invited to before. Certainly captures the Christmas Spirit.

Excellent, friendly service, delicious food and a good ambience. Bottomless house wine for £10 pp (Mon and Fri) was very good value and the waiters were very attentive at filling up our glasses. Set menu also good value.

I love my food and drink and what is of equal impact is the very surroundings and environment. I loved the atmosphere, the buzz and noise. The set menu prices were of very good standard and price - food quality was exceptional and the plates, were hot! Be thing for me.. highly recommended!

Service was poor. The staff took me to the wrong table and didn’t take the time to check the name of the reservation. They then made me wait until they worked out the right table and didn’t apologise. The service was then slow and it took ages to get the bill.

Great company, Great food, Great service. Had the calamari to start which was divine and then followed by the Ox Cheeks which my fellow diner had and enjoyed. My sausage and mash was exquisite

On a weekday evening the place was bustling. Do not plan for quiet, intimate conversation. But the buzz also creates some energy and a feeling that you are where things are happening. Many 30-40 year old professionals. Good food too.

Was great to visit 1 Lombard Street with some friends for a catch up. We ate off both the set menu and the al a carte. As always the food was delicious. The service was sketchy, but it was a very busy Thursday and we were not in a hurry.

Lovely restaurant, great service and beautiful food.

The service at Lombard St has been poor now both times I’ve visited. Friendly staff but very slow to serve.

Dinner menu is good value.

Have enjoyed some really good meals at this restaurant in the past, but on this occasion the food just wasn't that good. The mushroom soup was average, and my guest's fillet stake was a bit tough, especially for a fillet. Would still go back though, as the service and ambience are good and the food is usually excellent.

A regular sonce it opened and always great food and service.

A regular venue that we use for breakfasts, lunches and dinners and it’s always consistently superb in terms of both food and service

I didn’t dine but my bosses told me the service was incredibly slow and they had to wait a long time for drinks throughout the night

A supper lunch again at one of my favourite spots in the city. Three of us had lovely 2 course lunch with the highlight being some superb Ox cheeks.

Great and attentive service at all times.

Food was average with pretty poor service. Plenty of other restaurants nearby with better food and reasonably priced.

Excellent breakfast and lunch venue with consistently good service and food quality. Nice atmosphere and great location.

Had the London Restaurant 2 course menu, really good value - pork terrine was very good and fish main was amazing! Really recommend it! Great atmosphere too.
