Pretty empty, not great service, singer hardly sang anything and kept taking breaks. Food was v average, especially for cost, unlikely to return

Food was really good. Starter of duck salad delicious. Roast beef really tender, cooked to perfection. The sauce was a little bit too sharp for me and my husband but overall a very nice meal. Good size portions. We had creme brule and pistachio marquise both were superb. The singer Dee was incredible and our Sunday lunch turned our to be very joyable due to great ambience. We will be back! Service was very good! Good recommendations from our waitress. Thank you!

A very dramatic and romantic place. The wine was perfect and Sunday lunch was good value. The star of the show is the live music which fills the large restaurant.

I've been here a few times some years ago (more than 10 years ago). It used to have a relaxed retro vibe. But my goodness has it changed. Front of house hands down excellent, venue is great, and the bar staff upstairs are fab. Wine list is good too. But that's where old traditions stop. While Quags still say they have a smart dress code, they really do not... or perhaps they do but in a WAG sense. It seems to attract 'people who might holday in Dubai'. No manners, hats on inside, lots of social media posting, flash photography, no table manners... dancing with children at the front of the stage. It's very much like an expensive but low brow all-inclusive holiday. Furthermore, once seated, the service is awful. Foreign waiters (not in a good way), who don't understand English or etiquette (perfect for the new setting actually). The wait to take orders was over 30 minutes, then they sauntered off with drinks orders only, leaving us waiting to order food for a further 20 minutes. I had to repeatedly call them over. They were not even busy. Definitely not the Quags I knew. Then the music... a lady called Dee. Musically very accomplished trio, especially her bassist, but she was too loud and made a lot of 'shout outs' to birthday tables... more like a DJ set. Again not an old vibe at all. Also the music was too contemporary, thus attacting the current clientèle. Finally the food. £100 minimum per head, and really really not worth it. The Roast was fine and huge (but no better than my local pub), while ordering anything non-roast was served a la nouvelle cuisine portions; hit and miss on flavour. Sad state of affairs for a once iconic place. I won't be going back until they play classical/jazz/rock (which usually puts off the WAGs/Towie/MiC crowd), sort out their food, clientèle, dress code, waiting staff. What a total pity. If you're English, bohemian, or even stuffy(!), like books, and classic traditions with an edge... don't go. You won't find your people there.

We took our mum here for her Christmas present for brunch. Honest thoughts, looks classy when you arrive, mixed bunch of people. Food was lovely, service was next to none. They seem to have focused on the larger groups than the smaller ones. There was no attentiveness at all. Drinks took forever, we had to ask a lot of the time to have drinks, bread rolls arrived after our starter came. Drinks got mixed up, my sister caught her top to which they apologised and discounted the bill for the inconvenience - we do not expect this but since it ruined her top it was a fair deal. Band were good but they came to each table rather than playing different songs on stage. It’s very loud also when music is playing and you can’t really hear one another. Not sure what the hype is all about.

the setting was great, music was very good but the food and service let the overall meal down, the waiter was not concentrating on our table / order, his attention / eyes kept wondering elsewhere, got a side dish incorrect, just not very attentive, then the meal was 'average', not the previous experiences we have had in Quaglino's, shame as it will make us think twice next time.
