Prix Fixe Brasserie
Waiting staff were young seemingly inexperienced but polite & pleasant and welcoming.
However , when I received my burger it was undercooked / pink on the inside . Unlike a steak a beef burger-is made up of minced beef which should never be served rare or medium rare because minced meat harbours more bacteria. Therefore to avoid illness I left it . Any chef should know that burgers - like sausages - should be cooked through thoroughly!
Also , when I got my bill I was charged separately for our deserts despite requesting quite clearly at the beginning that we were having the set 3 course offer .
Always a great lunch destination! Great menu and superb value for money! Waitress could have been more attentive when we came to pay the bill as when we arrived and ordered. But I love Prix Fixe and was always recommend it!
We discovered this perfect little gem of a barasserie earlier this year with some friends and it has become a firm favourite of ours and our "go to" whenever we are in London. We have visited for our wedding anniversary and my mothers 70th birthday and on both occasions we felt spoiled with a complimentary glass of prosecco each to begin our meal. The staff are always attentive and the food is outstanding and never fails to impress us.
We will continue to visit any time we are in Town and to recommend it to our friends and family so they can enjoy the wonderful hospitality and amazing, varied cuisine that Prix Fixe offers.
Their pre theatre menu is fantastic value. The quality and flavour of the food is excellent, generous portion sizes and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The owner makes the effort to ask how everything is too. I have been twice and will be back again very soon!
The food and service were very good. Only complaint is noise.
Good value for a traditional French meal in the middle of Soho
As usual, a pleasant lunch in the middle of Soho. Always good service too. The good won't set the world on fire but it is reliable
A little bit of France in central London . Good value especially the set menu and the staff are always charming .
I've been coming to Prix Fixe ever since it opened in Dean Street. The servive and food has been consistently good. The staff are outstanding.
Great food, great service and the best value menu in Soho. We really enjoyed our lunch with friends. It was excellent.
Always our 'go to favourite restaurant in town. It was our anniversary and we were surprised at our table with a glass of complimentary champagne each which was a fantastic way to start our evening! The food never fails to impress.
Good food, couldn’t fault the duck. Family run without frills. Wasnt
Great value for money and always good service. Even a la carte is good value
Great place in a centre of Soho. Delicious food, good prices. Great selection of starters and main courses. I fancy so many starters that we end up ordering 4 different to share! Delicious! Good service. I’ll be back!
We had a lovely birthday meal for my friend. Staff were attentive but not overbearing and have been v. accommodating. We enjoyed the food and would be happy to come back any time soon.
The friendliest staff. My new wife and I went for a meal as Prix Fixe was one of the first places we went on a date. We were greeted by a complimentary glass of Prosecco and delightful staff. Superb food. Would recommend the scallops and the tuna steak. Also any of the desserts.
we waited a long time for our mains and it wasn't busy. obvs the waitress forgot about us, simple mistake. the food was okay, starters were good, the mains not so good.
the manager took our drinks off the bill as a sorry but we only had two drinks, a lemonade and a coke so was a little pointless. nice gesture all the same. prob wouldn't return
A good meal, on a swelteringly hot day. Friendly service, the right side of attentive. Certainly one that we'd go back to again.
Great value pre-theatre meal, generous portions and super friendly staff.
We relied on Prix Fixe’s website which says they are open until 23:30 daily. It appears they haven’t operated under their advertised hours for quite some time.
We arrived post theatre at 22:30 only to be told that any menu items with fried food - eg. steak and chips and so on - were unavailable. Also that we only had 20 mins to order/eat. The food was mostly a let down. We have been here many times before and had good experiences but are unlikely to go back after the mediocre service and poor food offerings. They need to update their website to reflect their actual hours.
The Prix Fixe menu was particularly good value.I had delicious mussels, entrecote steak and lime pannacotta and raspberry sorbet for £28.90. Attentive and friendly service made for a very enjoyable evening.
Very attentive staff, great atmosphere and excellent food - great value. What more could you want :-)
We have eaten at Prix Fixe many times and have always had a great meal & service.
We have taken friends and they have all enjoyed it & been back.
Always value for money & a good selection on the menu.
The perfect place for lunch on a busy Saturday afternoon in Soho. Friendly service, tasty food (great menu!) and good value for this part of town.
The Duck and Lamb are a bit salty but overall is really good experience.
Our first visit to the restaurant. We had the pre theatre meal. All the food was excellent and well presented. Lots of choice on the menu. We feel the service could have been a little faster. The restaurant was all but empty when we arrived but each course took some time to arrive. The rather leisurely pace meant that we decided not to stop for dessert or a coffee to ensure we got to the theatre on time. Overall, well worth visiting but make sure you build in extra time if you are going to the theatre!
Excellent food and service. We enjoyed our first time at this restaurant so much that when we came to see another play we decided to come here again. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Excellent food. Air conditioning or something would help in hot weather as it was warm inside but I would highly recommend!
Good value lunch menu , friendly staff , a bit like sitting in a typical french brasserie in Paris ( like they used to be .....)
Great menu, so the definition of ‘good on paper’. But the actual dishes, whilst looking great, do not taste as they should. The onion soup was lukewarm and tasteless, the pappardelle pasta was just odd tasting. Confirm of duck was good. No children’s menu so we had to spend a lot for four people including an 11 and 9 year old
Great Soho establishment. Has one of the most thorough, high quality and best variety set menu around. The menu changes weekly so there's always something new to try. Acoustics can be pretty harsh when the place is busy.
Love this place!
Always reliable, always great service at prix Fixe
Food was very good and service was on the button at a reasonable price I will be back
Good food, friendly service and reasonably cheap, all conveniently in the heart of Soho so perfect for a pre-theatre supper.
Very good dining experience - service good, food good and it wasn't too noisy so we could talk without having to shout.
I have been here a few times with friends. It was very disappointing this time. I ordered a glass of fizz, it was flat. And I had to ask for the second one to have some bubbles, which it did. That was ok, but my food wasn’t. My friends found their steaks fine but my fish dish was served cold. The sauce was cold, and I should have sent it back to get warmed up because and I ended up being very sick when I got home. I didn’t complain at the time because I was hungry and didn’t want to make another fuss. But even the chips I ordered were tepid and not crispy. Considering they are out of a bag I expected more. So so disappointed because like I say I liked Prix Fix. Every other time it was fine so not sure what happened, but I still feel fragile in my stomach 2 days on.
Very friendly enjoyable experience, good food at great vslue.
Lovely place. Excellent value wine list with some real treats. One of those places who delivers what it says on the tin :)
Great french menu food and wine love lovely service good to
