We love going to Primo and rarely go out to any other restaurant. Always the best, fresh food and best service anywhere.

We were greeted promptly and by our name, which was nice. We were seated immediately and our server was prompt with coming to our table.

Our dinner was delicious all the way around. Our only gripe was the large table behind us was SO loud, we could not hear ourselves think, let alone talk. Given several other open tables, I wish they would have seated us away from them. Aside from that, it was fantastic!

Always delicious. A small menu so everything is a specialty. The pizza are light and delicious, you can also get a big steak and everything in between. Delicious appetizers and house made pasta. Great bar.

Although we've lived in Tacoma for four years, last year was our first trip to Primo. We've become fans! Great drinks, great food, good service. However, significantly overpriced wine.

Our server was slightly distracted and not completely knowledgable about menu/specials/wine but he was overall pretty nice. The food at atmosphere were absolutely outstanding as always though. Will be coming back for many more meals.

Primo is our "go to" place - and this time we had our daughter with us. She loved her fish dish and said it is her favorite spot in Tacoma. She had just come from wonderful restaurants in LA so way to go, Primo! Can't wait to return...and: we loved our waiter and other folks who stopped by the table to say hi. Feels like home:) tastes delicious:)

Fabulous evening, from the warm welcome as we arrived, through a amazing dessert, the evening was perfect. Cocktails are excellent, the fish dishes (he had salmon, I had halibut) were superb, and dessert (sticky toffee pudding) was delectable. Service was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. We always enjoy dining here, and look forward to a return visit soon!

Went to dinner with friends before heading over to Studio 6 Ballroom. Ravioli is a little light for a man’s meal. I might have servers recommend a side salad or appetizer so guests don’t leave hungry.

I always enjoy going to PRIMO. Their staff is top notch. My date and I celebrated her birthday.
We both had one of their specials, mushroom encrusted halibut. What an awesome dish!

Everything was good about Primos. The only thing that would keep me from giving it 5 stars is the rather small size of the portions. Not enough to fill me up.

Consistently amazing food. The specials never fail to be creative and delicious. Bar is beautiful and well stocked.
Service is by far and away the best in Tacoma area. This restaurant is a must do for any

We came for Valentine's weekend, ordered the smoked salmon ravioli. I love this dish and always order the freshly made pasta. My only suggestion would be to up the heat as it was quite cold and breezy in the restaurant.

My wife and I dined here for our first time on Valentines day so our expectations were low as these types of days can be hectic for restaurants... this was not the case at Primo. As we arrived my wife was greeted with a fresh tulip and we were seated promptly in the back dining room. The back dining room is much quieter than the main room which allowed for a more romantic experience. Our server was attentive and helpful with recommendations... the menu has many options without being overly cluttered. For a starter we had the cauliflower which came with 4 different sauces - all very tasty. We both ordered the ribeye for our entree which not only came out in a timely manner but were a spot on medium rare. We ended with the panna cota for dessert which was creamy yet firm and with a strawberry compote that paired perfectly. Overall we were very pleased and will certainly return in the future.

We made a short notice reservation for a secluded table and the staff accommodated us perfectly. The food, the atmosphere, and the servers were all amazing. This is our fourth time here and it remains one of our favorite fine dining experiences.

We celebrated a family birthday and were thrilled with the entire evening. The service was great, cocktails, apps, salads and entree’s even better than we had hoped. Each bite so delicious. Loved the decor too. We will onack!

Our first time there since it moved to its present location. Very "hipster" kind of vib with mostly a younger crowd. Food was good. The noise level was very high and we had to speak very loudly to be hear across our table. It was also very cold in the restaurant. We weren't seated all that close to the door but it felt like we were seated right by it. Need to turn up the heat a little on cold days. We are going to try it again on a day that isn't a Friday or Saturday to see if the noise level is a little lower. All in all, it's worth a try.

We decided to splurge for our NYE dinner this year. We were excited to try Primo. We were unfortunately very disappointed by our experience. The hostess' tone was short and unwelcoming. Our waitress was a bit scattered and inattentive. Beverages sat empty for far too long, including water. I requested the bacon be omitted from the side dish. When I was served my plate, there was a rather large piece of bacon. The waitress saw me scooping it off to the side as she assured me it was the "shallot looking like bacon". I assured her it was not a shallot. She didn't offer to fix, remake, etc. I told her I would give it try and let her know if I wasn't okay with it. She didn't come back to check in on whether it was satisfactory. There were multiple chunks of crab shell in my crab cakes. My daughter's meal had butternut squash on the side. It was cooked and served with the skin on, however wasn't cooked well. The skin was hard and sharp making it difficult to eat. The cauliflower appetizer, pizza and pumpkin ravioli were good. My husband ordered a dessert that never came, but we also weren't charged for it - so perhaps just a miscommunication (although I specifically remember the waitress asking my husband what he wanted and him answering). Lastly, there was a rather large piece of plastic in the toffee pudding dessert. I enjoy a long leisurely meal, but the time that passed without any communication from the wait staff left us feeling forgotten (and thirsty and wanting to address the missing dessert and eventually just wanting our bill). With the automatically applied 18% service fee - I expect an exceptional experience. This was a massively disappointing evening.

Primo Grill is my daily favorite. We chose them for New Years Eve, and just as expected, it was fantastic. My gimlet made and delivered to our table by their top bartender, Frankie, was perfect as always. Thai curry mussels, grilled cauliflower, rib eyes, pork chops, fish specials, and salads were all spectacular. We brought friends and it was their first time. We will all definitely be back soon!! Thank You, Primo!

This is a very homey restaurant with an interesting menu. They have a great happy hour menu that you can make a tasty meal of. The Brussels sprouts were outstanding. The service was great. Enjoyed our dinner very much.

went to happy hour as a going away dinner, and had a great time! The food is absolutely spectacular, I don’t think you could go wrong with any option. The have a great wine selection as well. Didn’t get a chance to get a cocktail, but they look great as well. The service was perfect as well.

Great, relaxed birthday dinner. Five of us had no problem carrying on conversation. Everyone raved about the food - from pizza to the special (Alaska Char) - everything was well prepared. Frankie took good care of us. We will definitely visit again.

Great service and food. Brussels sprouts crisped to perfection melt in your mouth. Au gratin potatoes with just the right creaminess and crisp on taters. Prime rib was succulent and had a little grill on it that gave it a really nice smoky hint. Fabulous food!! Bartender picked out the perfect red wine to go with it!

There is never a time that I go here and don’t have a great experience. I love the atmosphere the noise level and the view of a busy 6th Ave. of course the food is always delicious and having Chef Charlie come out occasionally to visit his guests is an extra nice touch.

I have been going to Primo for years and it has always been a really great and consistent. This time though, it was OUTSTANDING. I am so happy this warm, wonderful place continues to evolve into such an incredible dining experience. A Tacoma gem!
