Prasino - La Grange
Prasino emphasizes seasonal, local, and organic food whenever possible. Its commitment to sustainability is incorporated in Prasino's eco-chic design.
This past Saturday was the first time I was at Prasino's in about a year. We had dinner on Saturday evening, and then came back for breakfast on Sunday. I had the lamb shank which was served over spaghetti. The gravy on the spaghetti was an au jus from the shank. My girlfriend had the cod. Both were excellent. We each had appetizers, cocktails, and dessert. The next day for breakfast, she had the frittata and I had the Irish skillet, which had homemade corned beef hash. The service was good.
For an overall great experience from the moment you walk in the door Prasino's is the choice. The servers are outstanding and the food is excellent!
The ambiance here is incredible. The aesthetic, the music, the furnishings just make this place perfect, coupled with great food for all diets.
Fantastic food! Great for a date night or a night with the family.
Food was excellent. I gave them minus one star since they were out of the sganaki
Consistently good, fresh food. Santa Monica frittata was delicious. Coffee is very good. Fig and prosciutto omelette was outstanding. Healthy French toast was very tasty. Best part was our server. Delightful! She was knowledgeable and friendly.
Love the food, friendly staff and location!
Across the street from the LaGrange movie theater, we don't come here often (second time) but we have enjoyed our meals both times. It is a bit of an odd menu with some Thai curry up front followed by more traditional Italian dishes and some broiled fish and chicken. in the past, we went more traditional which we enjoyed and this time we went Thai which was less enjoyable. Yet, our friends loved the Thai curry so go figure.
We have been many times, good service and food.
Hadn’t been for dinner in awhile and I was very pleased. Tuni ahi poke bowl, flatbread and mushroom appetizers were excellent. Nice selection of non-alcoholic drinks. Great service. And of course the dining room is beautiful.
We had a great time! I was a little disappointed with the gnocchi. It said it was gluten free so I thought it would be all potatoes but didn't taste like it. Maybe the menu is a bit too diverse, instead of concentrating on one type of food they do really well.
Food was super yummy! Service was great! Crepes were amazing!
Great breakfast place. Gluten free options were numerous.
Great food and service! Everyone in the family loves to go here.
Wonderful brunch. Food and drinks were exceptional.
I have been to Prasino's several times and plan to return. The service is excellent (my water glass is always kept filled by staff), the vegetarian entrees delicious and vegetable healthy (especially the cauliflower cheddar - I always order it), and the variety of menu options is optimal. I appreciate the relaxing atmosphere, with plenty of room and subdued lighting. The staff is prompt and very attentive to my culinary tastes and desires. I do long for more cake and cookie options on the dessert menu, but I am usually too satisfied from dinner to pursue dessert. Yes, I do highly recommend this restaurant experience.
It's been awhile since I've been to this restaurant. The food was excellent, as usual, but our server was not very friendly. That was disappointing to me, since it's not in line with how I remember this restaurant when we used to frequent it.
The Evening was nice and quiet, just what I wanted for a Wednesday night. Vegan food was very tasty and presented well. Will come back to try the fish dishes. They sounded interesting
This was our second time to Prasino . The food is excellent , service is personal and the drinks are great.
this is one of our favorite local spots. Great breakfast and Dinners. Coffee is amazing, food even better. We always take our visiting friends here to show off La Grange. High recommend.
I have always wanted to go to Prasino and when a friend mentioned it as our brunch place I couldnt have been more excited. The restaurant does not disappoint. Great decor and food was amazing. Best and biggest poached egg I've every had. Waitress pleasant and kept wanting to refresh the hot water for my tea, doesnt happen often. I live in Chicago and am looking for another reason to go out that way again!
Although I was disappointed that the staff never acknowledged that this was booked as a Birthday dinner the food was good and we never felt rushed.
Very relaxing place and very good food:)
Great food, service, and ambience (quiet enough for conversation). Saganaki was a special treat.
The food was very average at best!
Love it as always. Our waitress was one of my favorites there, so it was perfect.
We did not feel rushed as we were taking our time to catch up. Food was great but service lacked just a little bit as my water glass did not get refilled
Our server was not on top of his game. The good overall was under seasoned and the veggies that I ordered as a side dish tasted of rancid cooking oil. Very disappointing for $100 meal. Do not recommend
Some good and some not as much. The flat bread was ok but the Asian Salad was a big miss - basically slaw. The soup of the day (vegan tomato and spinach) was good, the cocktails were fair, but the desserts - the maple chomeur and the deep dish cookie were outstanding. We've been coming here for quite a while and it just isn't as good as it once was, but it's still fine for a pleasant lunch.
The $30 sea bass was supposed to be in a tomato base and it wasn’t. Pretty bland and boring. The saganaki was done right. Always enjoy the fish tacos but this time they weren’t quite as spicy. Bean burger always good with potatoes. Service and ambiance, excellent. Appreciate all the vegan and vegetarian choices.
Fantastic food, great atmosphere. As always!
Service is always amazing! Food was great too - but please provide more vegan options!
It is one of my favorite go too places when I am in the area. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would recommend giving it a try.
Love it all.
We always order lobster stuffed avocado with grilled bread with bottle of white wine which is excellent! Chameur dessert is excellent. My wife has tea forte and I have coffee. We could eat at several other restaurants before attending Drury Lane Theater but can't give up meal at Prasino!!
It was a little cold by the window but everything else was great and the hot tea helped warm me up:)
Great food-great atmosphere.
Healthy options including vegan. I tried the uncle Elvis shake. It was nice to have a vegan shake but wish it had more flavor.
