Popi's Italian Restaurant
best meal at popi’s ever
Our food and server were fantastic! You cannot go wrong with the Chicken Nicole!
our experience on Sunday was much better than previous 2 visits, not enough help, slow service, but again much better on Sunday, we had Lisa for a server, friendly and attentive. Would go back again!!
Excellent food and service. The minestrone soup could have been hotter, otherwise, excellent.
Friend s birthday. Carmella was just awesome!
Outstanding food and attentive service! Exactly what you would expect from an Italian restaurant in South Philly.
Wait staff was excellent. Food was very good. Steak cooked a little too well. Clams casino and calamari AMAZING!! Definitely would go back and definitely recommend.
Very good dinner the chicken pastina soup was delicious, the Popi Salad was delicious but the veal Milanese was ok. The veal was tough and way overcooked.
My wife and I discovered Popi's in the late '90s. We were regulars until we moved to the Jersey shore about five years ago. I returned to Popi's yesterday after a trip up to Philly to find they are still one of the best restaurants we have ever known. Great service, wonderful ambiance and delicious food. If you are in Philadelphia, you must visit Popi's!
Perfect choice for New Year’s Eve. Great ambiance and festively decorated. The food was excellent and Robert our server was very attentive.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Enjoyed our New Year’s Eve dinner and the entertainment was enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back!
Normally it’s great but we were very rushed. Sat down and had finished 3 courses in about 25 minutes. Probably allowed a lot of reservations for New Years Eve but for the price we paid, we would have liked a little more time to enjoy our food.
Everything was great. The food, service & ambiance were excellent.
We joined other post- Eagles’ game victory celebrants in an Italian restaurant entirely new to us. It was early enough to be quietly busy for a Sunday afternoon. Service was pleasant; perhaps a bit slow for the time of day. Food was tasty - salads excellent; main course good, but not great. Save room for dessert- good choices and portions! Would visit again.
As soon as we walked in we noticed how beautiful the restaurant was
...the staff greeted us immediately...THEN the service and food were absolutely amazing. Drinks were worth every penny unlike most places we done at. We would highly recommend Popi's if you want Quality atmosphere, service and food.
Popi’s is a lovely spot for lunch or dinner. A bonus is that they have a parking lot as spots are sometimes hard to come by in that area.
This was our fifth visit. We try to stop at Popi’s whenever we attend an event in Philadelphia. The restaurant is conveniently located near highways and only about a mile from the sports complex. It has plenty of free parking.
As usual the food did not disappoint. My veal marsala was fork tender in a delicious rich sauce. I had it served over penne pasta. My wife’s linguini with red clam sauce was also terrific. Drinks are generous and service outstanding.
I highly recommend this restaurant for those who enjoy authentic Italian cuisine.
As always, the food and service was amazing! Merry Christmas!
Excellent restaurant. The food and Nick our server was great.
We had tickets to the Andrea Bocelli concert that were given to us for a wedding gift. We found Popi’s and I’m so happy we did. The waiter Nick, the food, the wine and the general feel of the restaurant was amazing. We will definitely be back.
Great food and looks beautiful for Christmas. Waitress was so pleasant. Great food
great food and perfect for pre-event if you are headed to the stadiums
My daughter and I were headed to the wings game. Meal was delicious with one small hiccup. The shrimp le Jon was not cooked all the way through. Our waiter Robert handled everything perfectly. Mistakes happen and they did a great job handling the situation. We will dine there again.
Our appy's were good. Caesar salad and eggplant rollatini. However, our main course was just fair. Three of us tried the Bronzino. The sauce was overpowering and the breading was unnecessary. Not so good.
When dinner arrived our waiter asked if we would like another glass of wine. We said yes. Unfortunately it was not brought to our table until after we were finished eating. By that point we declined and just got our check.
Had higher expectations. Disappointed. Will not return. Plenty of better Italian restaurants in South Philly.
Great atmosphere, service, and food! The roasted red pepper mashed potatoes are the best I've ever had! Great!
Was referred to you by my brother in law for a Great Italian restaurant near the stadium’s. Was absolutely not disappointed! Great food & service!
AMAZING!!!! EVERYTHING FROM THE FOOD TO THE SERVICE WAS FANTASTIC!! EASILY 5 STARS
The food was great and reasonable. Everything about Popis is top notch. Chrissy our Waitress was outstanding and very cordial. We will be visiting Popis again. Highly recommend
We eat here often and love the food. But honestly Thanksgiving was not up to par for their normal food and service. I won't hold it against them because they are always great, but doubtful I'll do another holiday here at least

This isn’t a date spot, more of an Everyday dining experience. Service wasn’t great/attentive.

Good food good service..pleasant environment..good pricing...plenty of parking
In and out before a flyers game and a loving evening on date night!
Excellent. I love Popi’s. This has got to be at least the tenth time I have dined here. Excellent food and service. Great South Philadelphia atmosphere. Live singer was excellent. Popi salad excellent. Veal Saltimboca perfect. Lemon cake delicious. Excellent Pinot Noir. Full bar. Excellent restaurant. I can’t wait to return.
Everything especially the food was great!
Popi's is THE place to pre-game and park and walk. Absolutely the best service and food all wrapped up with an extensive menu. I haven't had such wonderful service since prior to COVID 19. Fabulous.
Good food. Totally rushed had drinks, appetizers and dinner and push out in 45 minutes . It was an early Saturday dinner at 4.30 and should have never pushed so quickly
I am meals were outstanding and the service was second to none. When it got crowded it was a little bit tough to have a conversation but that was a minor issues.
Will definitely be back.
