It was ok. Visited for my son's birthday which happens to be on Valentine's Day - interesting choices for the evening in music terms - plenty of 80's US soft rock (fine) but notably songs in the vein of 'after the love is gone' and 'here I am again on my own' at slightly over 'discreet' volume added to an odd ambience for romantic dining. Happily I have not a romantic bone in my body so perhaps that aspect of the restaurant experience is better left to experts.
Anyway - there was a good choice of drinks, service was charming and the food was fine - but I thought slightly overpriced for both the quality and quantity served. I wanted to try corn dogs (which were nice) and my boy, at let's say an awkward age for dining with ones parents, appreciated the Big Bang Theory on loop on the tv. So overall, fine.

Found this on Tripadvisor when looking for an inexpensive restaurant close to O2 Academy (3 minutes walk). Restaurant is American Diner themed, well decorated and spotlessly clean. We were the first table of the evening, so a little quiet initially, but soon started filling up. Staff very welcoming and attentive. I had the Burger with stilton and mushroom filling which could only be described as excellent, one of the best I have ever eaten. My wife had the Southern fried chicken burger which was also excellent. We're going back to try the ribs sometime soon! Highly recommended restaurant.

Took our daughter there for her birthday and after seeing reviews and pics online was really looking forward to it. One shinning aspect was the waitress, attentive and helpful. Quite a long wait for food with only two occupied tables and of the three meals only one was great. The corn dogs arrived with totally cold waffle chips that in fairness was rectified by staff fairly quickly. Southern Fried chicken and waffles overcooked. Chicken was chocolate brown rather than golden and hence very dry. Waffles were the same and half the meal was left on the plate. The rack of ribs was really good though so mixed feelings. Would give it another try but in no rush to revisit.

We came for my fiancee's birthday. She likes watching "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" so I thought this would be a good choice. It was. Authentic American food. A pretty short menu and service not rapid, but food is prepared with care and skill and it's worth the wait.
Furnishing is plain and floor space a little tight, but it's on multiple floors. A bit like the furniture you get in, say, Denny's.
You can park very near in Trenchard St multistorey.
I can recommend the chicken with maple syrup waffles if you have a big appetite. Prepared very differently from some outlets I could mention and better for that.
It came in at about £28.00 per person including drinks, starters and mains, but before tip.

The restaurant is small, but cosy, with Americana adorning the walls and classic TV shows (Star Trek on our visit) playing silently on a TV.
The menu was strictly all-American fare, from Buffalo wings to Corn Dogs, all excellent!
The staff were great too, friendly and welcoming without ever intruding on the evening.
Doubtless we will be back at some point!

Service was painfully slow. Starters were small and over priced. Burgers were excellent and saved the meal. Would maybe give a second chance just without starters this time.

Excellent little place if you fancy something different. I went with friends to celebrate a forthcoming American holiday and this fitted the bill perfectly, and we all enjoyed the burgers on offer - absolutely delicious and the chips were heaven (although a little salty).

Average food, have made better wings and potato skins at home. Came for the freakshakes and disappointed with the rest.

Definitely worth a visit. Food is fairly pricey but you get a lot for your money (we all struggled to finish ). My son loved the fact that Avengers was on the T.V and the atmosphere was relaxed. Great to be able to try some American classics that I hadn't had before. Watch out for the desserts. They are epic! We are talking man versus food! Good fun !

Was a bit pensive at first as they didn't have a record of our reservation despite receiving confirmation emails. Not sure whereabouts the technology fell over but fortunately they managed to fit us in. Food (burgers) was great with generous portions. Waitresses were pleasant and friendly. The BBQ sauce and soured cream - both homemade - were excellent. Would go again but would also phone ahead to check reservation had been received next time to avoid disappointment.

Excellent location for both the university and the BRI. Expensive but great discounts (30%!!) for students and NHS staff at lunchtime. Was doing a roaring trade in deliveries whilst we were there. No service charge. Prices of food comparable to London, where I live, but well-priced cocktails and an extensive list. Perhaps for the student population?! Well worth a visit.

The ribs were great, tender, juicy & flavourful! We were a table of & everybody thoroughly enjoyed their meals! Jalapeño popper starter was great! Loved the sour cream provided on the side! Dessert was tasty! We look forward to coming back to have the burgers & banana splits!! We will frequent this place more often. Only thing that disappointed was that the coffee machine had broken so no coffees on offer (Americans do value their coffees!!). Thanks for a lovely meal!

Fantastic friendly service, we didn't feel hurried even though the restaurant was closed. All of the staff made us feel comfortable and relaxed and even the chef came out and chatted to us.

All of the food is freshly cooked to order and was stunning. If I had to pick a highlight then I can only shorten to two and that was tricky:

The Chicago pizza burger and the deep fried gherkins.

Overall a really enjoyable Saturday evening thanks guys and gals!

Visited for an early dinner before going to see a show. Really close to Colston Hall. Very friendly staff. The burgers were very tasty, with a good vegetarian option. The mac and cheese balls were lovely, a big hit with my 8 year old son. Would definitely recommend and return.

Ate here for the first time prior to a gig at the Colston Hall. Food was very good and although it was quite quiet, the service was a little on the slow side (although very friendly). We (party of 2) sat at the table in the bay window overlooking Park Row. Great for people watching but, on the flip side, a bit like being in a goldfish bowl as virtually everyne who walked past was staring through the window ! So.....overall a good experience and we would certainly eat there again - at a different table ! (have already recommended to family)

I'd read review on bristol foodie blog and had walked past a few times when it first opened so was curious to try It out
When we walked in there were a few tables but no staff anywhere. The room on street level didn't seem to have enough tables for space, lots of empty space looked in middle of refurb? Waited a short while and waitress appeared, she showed us to table upstairs, and then proceeded to recite a stream of specials of the day and a few things that weren't available that day on the menu. This was all before we had sat down and taken coats off and said that we hadn't been there before. So by the time we sat down and opened menu, we couldn't remember anything she'd said.
I had spicy carrot soup which didn't taste of anything, it was so spicy and I normally like spicy food. The burgers were nice, the chips were really good, although presentation could do with a bit of finessing. I am huge fan of coleslaw, especially when homemade American-style, this just tasted of onion with huge chunks that weren't sliced. Even after brushing my teeth twice, I could still taste it the next morning!
The drinks menu had a good selection of American beers, love the Brooklyn lagers and blue moon, and the barefoot wine selection was impressive. The chap who brought out the drinks had clearly worked in industry before and could do with passing on some advice in customer service and general hospitality skills to young waitress.
All in all, I wouldn't rush back.

It was of course typical American food, true to its name. The waitresses were very new, 1st job perhaps and they worked and tried so hard. Its worth a visit but will take time to establish itself.

My partner and I went on a voucher deal, starter, mains and a drink for 2 so it was a great bargain. We both had chicken wings to start. I had a bacon and cheese burger which was delicious. Even the fries were great. My partner had steak which he enjoyed. Cocktail was nice. Didn't sample the desserts. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. The only downside would be the toilets are downstairs and as a person with knee problems this was not good. So no good for any disabled guests. I would go again though as the food was good.
