PizzArte provides its guests with a welcoming setting where delicious food is combined with the opportunity to reengage with painting. Our restaurant and gallery aims to spread appreciation for authentic regional cuisine as well as the works of talented contemporary artists, bringing art into an everyday setting.
Server was very pleasant but we arrived on earlier side and when it filled up it was difficult unless someone came by to get assistance. We were upstairs at front of building so only a few bigger tables up there. It’s a tight squeeze when the place fills up, which it does very quickly after 6 pm. Especially in winter with everyone’s coats hanging off chairs into slim walkway between tables. The food was excellent. Homemade pasta was al dente sand sauce was fantastic. Pizza was very good. Let it sit at table for a few before you dig in so it can settle. They bring it out hot. Minestrone and artichoke salad were excellent! Staff was very friendly.
We celebrated two birthdays with a reunion lunch and we all had a fantastic time under the guidance of Domenico and the team. As ever, exceptional food and service
Good location, good food but a litle overprice for the offer. I would recomend by the food and the enviroment but i wont recomend the restaurant ONLY because in the end of the meal the waiter comes to the table to complain about the value of the tip. I Understand that in USA a tip is expected, but i leave the tip i want to leave and i take on consideration the value of the meal already, but going to a client saying expecting a higher value on a tip is a very bad service. They didnt get a higher tip they only Lost a client and a recomendation to friends.
Fantastic! Everything from the menus to the art! We would return for sure.
Great food! Nice little place to eat! Had to move out reservation up an hour and they were very accommodating!
When you make a reservation 2 weeks in advance, and you can not get a table in the dining room, there is something wrong. We were seated at a table in the bar area next to the entrance. When other customers arrived, the entrance door kept sticking open and non of the staff would close it. I had to keep getting up from my seat and close the door. On another note; the patrons arriving after we were seated were taken to the dining room. There was no room for my party in the dining room after making 5:00 reservations well in advance, but everyone arriving well after my party were seated in the dining room and we had to freeze in the window in the bar area next to a door I had to keep getting up from my seat to close because the staff wouldn't do their job and close the door. (By the way, the temperature was in the teens that day. We were freezing where we were seated)
We had the truffle pasta (shaved over your pasta and weighed by the gram). It was fabulous. The pizza was super thin and high quality ingredients. I had a bite of my husband’s steak - so tender. Drinks were on point and dessert was fabulous. The server was very helpful and took time with us even though it was slammed. We will definitely come back!
Just like in Italy
Great culinary experience and feeling like in Italy
The pasta is fresh and made in-house. The pizzas are amazing neopolitan style with an amazing crust and interesting toppings. The servers and managers treat you like an old friend every time.
Phantastic Italien food. We had superb pizza and great home made pasta
Very friendly staff. A bit noisy but ok for an Italian restaurant
We are regulars at this establishment. We come to sit in the bar room and have cocktails and pizzas. Anna is the bartender/server on most occasions, and she is the best! The music is the only miss at this place. It is elevator music and detracts from any ambiance management is attempting to create.
The Cavatelli with cauliflower and black truffle sauce is absolutely terrific
Excellent pizza. As close to Italy as you will get. I have recommended to many friends.
Delighted to find this unpretentious spot convenient to MOMA. The downstairs entrance with small bar and limited seating is a little snug, but it leads to a long and narrow second-floor dining room thaat is comfortable, clean and bright. Delicious Neapolitan pies and main dishes, very friendly and engaging wait-staff. Say hello to Domenico. Worked great for a pre-event dinner; reservation process was easy.
This place was amazing, our server was an absolute gem.
Nice people bit pizza was tasteless and soggy
If you love real pizza, go right to PizzArte. Their pizza is so wonderfully made and delicious in a real Napolitano way. To me, the mark of a great pizza is if you eat the crust. I ate the entire crust - it is sweet and yummy. The restaurant is a lovely place for dinner and around the corner from Carnegie Hall and City Center. Don't miss it!
Best pasta I have had in the city.
We love PizzArte! We’ve been there probably ten times and always try to bring friends when they are visiting. I’m very picky about my Italian food and everything I’ve ever had there has been delicious and “ just as good as mama would make”! The service is also first rate!
Fabulous pizza and pasta entrees, had burrata which was out of this world. Would have loved to have found this place at beginning of our stay, as we definitely would have come several times. Centrally located just south of Central Park.
Food was delicious and came out fast.
Excelente comida y atención
Un lugar recomendable para cenar en Midtown NYC
The Gluten free pizza was AMAZING
Such a chewy soft crust
Everything was Delicious!!
Authentic neapolitan pizza and authentic homemade pasta
The real art isn't on the walls...it's on the plate in front of you!!
Great food and great service! Would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the mood for great Italian food!
They messed up my reservations on Open Table and cancelled it when I was there. I called and they said they fixed it. I’m hoping I don’t lose my points. Food was great and the service was ok. Hostess seemed overwhelmed. Noise level was off the charts but because we had a baby it was great. I would definitely early go back
A definite must go for awesome pizza just like Naples and great pastas and drinks. You will NOT be disappointed.
Loved the food and service, but the music was a bit loud.
This is one of my favorite restaurants. The Neapolitan Pizza is the best pizza in all of New York City.
True italian food, grea!
Pasta and pizza perfection. I’ve been here a number of times for lunch and every visit is a delight and delicious. Ordered a pasta special this time, fresh spinach ravioli, and a fresh tomato pizza. Pasta was cooked perfectly and sauce was fresh and not bitter. Pizza was made just like Italy.
PizzArte never disappoints. Best hand made pasta in midtown and their sauce is always fresh and flovorful. The staff is very attentive and professional.
This was the third time I have been to this restaurant. The last two times was after a visit to MOMA (very convenient!) for lunch, and this time it was a pre-theater meal. It was perfect for that as well. Just the right amount of food - we ordered an appetizer and a pizza and we were satisfied. You don't want to eat too much before a play!
Pizzas are always excellent; great crust. We also had a special appetizer of grilled calamari and it was tasty.
Very attentive waiter. The restaurant was not crowded because it was early, which suited us just fine.
Will be back.
Excellent Gluten Free pizza!!!
Excellent. We came many times. Best Gluten Free pizza ever ate.
This has become my go-to place when attending a performance at NY City Center, which is less than a block away. The food is very nice, with enough choices to satisfy many tastes. Surveying the other diners, the pizzas seem to be a popular choice, but I haven't tried them yet. PizzArte services is very good, with plenty of attention from wait staff, and the ambiance is inviting. I'm happy to recommend it.
Innovative menu, great tasting food. Charming host, good looking room.
