Piccolo Restaurant of Huntington
A "faithful" crowd stays true to this upscale New American-Italian in Huntington, which "deserves its reputation" for "superb cuisine" spanning "delicious pastas" to "phenomenal meat and fish"; the "top-notch" service and "intimate" setting will "make any occasion special", but make sure to reserve ahead because the cozy "close quarters" fill up fast on the weekends.
Received the "Award of Excellence" from Wine Spectator in 2018.

We ate in the large, outdoor tented area which was decorated more like a ballroom then a tent. Despite covid we felt absolutely comfortable with the way the tables were spaced and the excellent air circulation. The food and service were excellent despite the service being slower tha usual which would be expected under the circumstances.
Hadn’t been to Piccolo in a while, but decided to return for an early dinner because the daily specials sounded so good. We were very pleased at the indoor table spacing. Loved the tent, but too hot to eat outdoors.
George took wonderful care of us and we had a great meal. Squash blossoms were incredible, as were the soft shells and pistachio crusted halibut. Cannot wait to return.
Thank you George for a special evening!
Amazing night! Food, ambiance, drinks were all incredible. PB&J pie was fantastic, manager Jason stopped by and was more than pleasant. Thank you so much can’t wait to come back!
Food was good. Service was excellent. Outside area was nice. Haven’t been here in years but I will def go back.
As always Piccollo of Huntington has the best food, ambience and service that continues to make us feel at home. George is always inviting with his incredible service. The outdoor dining for the summer with the coronvirus is beyond belief...making you feel safe and giving you the ambience that Piccollo is noted for...thanks again for making us feel like part of your family.
Our experience at Piccolo was wonderful. They have a beautiful tent in the back decorated with flowers, trees and turf. They also placed fans all around to help with the humid summer heat. All of our servers were wearing masks and the tables were at least 6ft apart. The Service was wonderful, as was the food. I’ve been coming here with my family for many, many years and I am so appreciative that they have such a great set up outside!
Everything is very consistent. Great food and service. And during this crazy time they set up a beautiful outside tent.
This place has, sadly, gone down hill. Used to be our "go to" place but the food has taken a dive. Not sure if they lost their chef or what but it was just awful.
Always one of the best italian meals on LI. Service great.
Amazing food and wonderful service. This will always be our go to place.
Spectacular food with spectacular service
Excellent restaurant and good service. Went there for my wife‘s birthday. Food was great and the service was attentive. Would definitely return.
solid as a rock . high end quality restaurant with the greatest food in the village of huntington. I can’t give any higher reviews. i’ll be there at 7 pm tonight. ceo
great food matters, and Piccolo has that and way more. the greatest standing restaurant in Huntington.Service service service with the greatest staff and bartenders. God I love this place.
We had a lovely meal, delicious and fresh. The service could not be more attentive, and we felt as if they truly appreciated our business. The eggplant meatballs are out of this world! I had the halibut which was absolutely delicious! My husband had the filet mignon which was equally enjoyable. To top off our meal, we had an amazingly rich flourless chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. Highly recommend Piccolo for a real treat!
Our last night before the restaurants shut down to diners, there is no place I would rather go with our family.
Great device, very accommodating, excellent food
Cannot get a bad meal at piccolo - always been the case
Dinner w friends was very good and the restaurant allowed us to linger after finishing
Had a great dinner to celebrate my daughter's 28th birthday. Service was great and the food was delicious! A little on the pricey side but that's due to their location. I'd recommend Piccolo's to anyone!!!
Outstanding food, atmosphere and service! Perfect place!
As always Piccolo is a neighborhood staple providing a warm inviting atmosphere, personalized service and great food.
A neighborhood classic, this is one of my favorite restaurants in Huntington. It can be a little noisy, especially in room behind the bar (I will NOT sit there anymore!) I always see people I know, the food is good and I feel "home" when I am here! Dean always knows me and greets me as a "regular"; his stand-in on Sunday night and our usual waiter (George) were welcoming and cordial but acted like I was a stranger.
You can always count on a great meal with a great and friendly staff!!
Very good but very crowded...
We love Piccolo’s! Best service in town, we often bring our young baby and they always kindly welcome us with a smile. Food is fantastic too.
My brothers, sister and in-laws had a wonderful time. They raved about the food. The service was impeccable--we will be back
outstanding evening as usual, have gone for valentines with the wife for the last 12 years
Worst filet mignon I ever had... it was chewy... a great piece of filet mignon cuts like butter... needed a hacksaw to cut this piece... at $55 for an 18 oz. Filet, expect better..
Service was slow... place was very noisy ...
The escargot came out warm... not hot... should be hot when served in the 6 hole ceramic that goes in oven... and flavoring was just okay...
Other food (2 of us) was good... not extraordinary...but good
We always enjoy dining at Piccolo! Excellent food and service!
Wonderful food and amazing service
Typically we have a relatively good experience. I only go for the duck, which is usually very good here. This time not so good and very disappointed. Will give it another try, but Grasso has a duck that is consistently amazing!!
+ALWAYS A JOY. THE FOOD IS WONDERFUL & THE SERVICE IS VERY ATTENTIVE.
Always the best!!
Love piccolos and have never had a bad meal.
Always a great meal. The ossobucco was tender & not fatty.
First time here. Parking was super easy and inside was pretty. Dining room is small and tables are close together so the busier it got the louder the room was. We ordered the creamy burrata without prosciutto - they brought it to the table with prosciutto and then charged me $5 extra for it. At $20 for an appetizer it was extremely disappointing. Burrata was tasteless and the bread wasn’t even toasted. We ordered chicken parmesan and chicken scarpariello. The chicken parm was very tasty and the portions are large. Overall I think we would try it again but it’s a pricey dinner that could be had elsewhere with a better experience.
That place was fine dining years ago. They let people in wearing T-shirts, sneakers jeans, boo. My French onion soup was on par with a chain bistro but not hot. My wife’s eggplant rollotini was not hot. My main course portion was skimpy, 4 scallops and a small pile of risotto for $39. Desserts in small bowls were presented on oversized plates with no artful touch. I won’t go back.
We’ve never had a bad meal or bad experience at Piccolo. Best restaurant on LI
We very much enjoyed our dining experience. Everyone at the table loved their meals and we ordered a variety of dishes. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the stuffed veal chop was positively delicious. Pasta dishes were tasty and of a good size. We look forward to returning.
