As usual , the food was quite good and so was the service. When the restaurant is crowded the noise level gets too loud. The owner is very nice and welcoming.
We're regulars at this restaurant, one of the best on Long Island.

The food was excellent in taste and presentation, but I thought the portions were small and the wine I ordered wasn’t what I got. I found it odd that by ordering by the glass they brought out a personal sized bottle.

Del Lima has got something with this menu item. One of the best seafood dishes I have ever had. My wife had the gnocchi and it was light, creamy and delicious. Octopus appetizer was great, along with their take on grilled artichokes. Just so much flavor packed into these dishes. Service was great. Drinks were icy cold. Highly recommend!
I have gone there several times with Family and friend and ever have had a bad experience, enjoyed the consistency of what comes out of the kitchen by Steve. The staff execute with pride and professionalism. See you soon
Piccolo Mondo never fails to deliver excellent cuisine and outstanding value. Everything on the menu is prepared to perfection, the staff is friendly, efficient, and attentive and Roland, the owner, is constantly visible to ensure that everything is as it should be.

Waitress not paying attention to us.Tuna was undercooked. We found out after sitting down at 8:30 that Restaurant week was over at 7:00 pm. Was not posted on there website or on open table.
Food was excellent. Because it was restaurant week the service was very slow.
The restaurant is great for a quiet dinner, where you can have a conversation with your partner. Food was excellent. The mussel appetizer was delicious. Pork chop was outstanding and swordfish cooked to perfection. Creme brûlée for dessert was 5 star!

Every dish we had was amazing. One of the best dinners we’ve had in a while. The service was also wonderful. Looking forward to going back soon
We attended Long Island winter restaurant week's first night, a Sunday.
First, the good: The food was excellent. Delicious and well presented. The waitress, Alex, was very good. (There was an up-charge for my artichokes appetizer and salmon entree.)
Now, not so good: We had 6:30 open table reservations and were seated at 7 pm. Just two of us. We had reserved a quiet, romantic table. We got only one available, in the middle of the smallish room. (Two women chose not to wait and ate dinner at the small bar.)
My water glass after fill was empty for 15 minutes, placed on the side of the table. Second time, after 10 minutes, I had to ask busboy for more water.
Manager did not charge for the wine and coke while we waited at the bar. I asked for a glass of Shiraz, but he told the waitress they had only one bottle left. So I had a Cab instead.
Took forever to get our delicious appetizers, about half an hour. Took a while for delightful entrees. Dessert was faster. Flourless chocolate cake was dense and delicious. They had no skim milk for wife’s coffee.
Background music was good and a volume at which we could talk.
To make more amends, waitress said after dinner drink was on the house. Nice, but we left at 9:30, three hours after we arrived.
Again, food was outstanding. Maybe they’ll be better prepared for the crowd next time.
Everything is always to perfection at this restaurant. Luigi, our bartender, was so enjoyable to talk to & the Martinis were wonderful as is their happy hour menu. Friends joined us for dinner last evening and this was their first time at this restaurant and now it’s on the favorites list. My diver scallops with risotto was amazing. My husband had the octopus appetizer as an entree. Our friends enjoyed the two specials of the evening. Steelhead salmon & Branzino. The mussel appetizer was enough for all of us to share. Good wine list as well
All the dishes were delicious, but each one had a bit too much salt.

This is our go to restaurant. The only thing better than the food is the service. On this night Luigi was our server and he was outstanding making our evening that much better. We cannot wait to go back.

My husband and I love Piccolo Mondo it is always our first choice of restaurants. I always love there specials, always delicious and Roland and his staff are all so attentive. Great wine list too.
We had New Year’s Eve dinner here, and even though it was very crowded, this place never, ever disappoints. The food is outstanding, the service is friendly and professional. We dine here fairly often and have enjoyed everything we’ve ever ordered. Don’t miss the mussels appetizer! So good!
Roland and Peter have created a fantastic “go to” restaurant with food that rivals the hot spots throughout Long Island. Excellent food preparation and modest corkage fee.
We had a wonderful dinner. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the service was excellent.

Wow, The Food was A Fantastic Surprise! As you drive up to it, you wonder about the positive reviews given the exterior. Once you open the door you are immediately welcomed and then hope there is maybe something to those 5 star reviews.
After tasting the clam and artichoke appetizers and then lobster ravioli- Yes, the Chef and kitchen staff deserve 5 stars. The food is exceptional- they were prepared to awaken your senses to various favors that compliment the dishes focal point. It’s not overdone either- the sauces with the artichoke were unique and burst with flavor but not weird. The clams were more traditional as you would expect but with the perfect amount of spice and sauce to dip your bread in. Then the lobster ravioli is delicately prepared yet leaving you more satisfied than the typical over sauced ravioli.
Go for it, food is made with love 😊.
In terms of overall value, Piccolo Mondo may be the best restaurant on Long Island. The food is uniformly excellent, we enjoyed an outstanding Christmas Eve dinner, and felt that we received great value for our dining expenditure.
It was our first time there and we are so glad we went. We will definitely go back.
Very crowded. People eating at the bar so no room for drinks before dinner. Went elsewhere for a drink and returned. We were seated promptly at our reservation time. Restaurant is pretty loud so probably not great for a romantic dinner. Food was excellent.

Not a frequent diner there but that is my fault. The owner is very warm and engaging, with a waitstaff that is on top of their game-very attentive. Food was served without delay despite a full house and was delicious.

Celebrated family Thanksgiving at Piccolo Mondo. The food gets better every time. Everything was exceptional as always. Simply the best restaurant value on Long Island.
First time at this place while under current management. In short, I was very impressed. The waiter was a pro and very helpful navigating the menu. We enjoyed all of our dishes, both appies and mains. Portions were generous. I would return to this restaurant.

This is my new favorite restaurant. The Owner Roland does a spectacular job of orchestrating the evening. Steven is an amazing chef. He is not afraid of flavor and for that, I adore him. This is the 2nd time dining there. We were a table of 4 and every single Item that was put in front of us was perfection. Both the presentation and flavors are amazing from the appetizers to the desert.
