Absolutely delicious food which was helpfully explained by attentive but not intrusive waiting staff.
Recommended wine pairing was also delicious.

Whatever you choose to eat it's well worth opting for the drinks pairing. If you are booking a table ask for one upstairs, downstairs has the feel of a cafe, with benches.

Absolutely fantastic food, presentation was beautiful & nothing was too much trouble as I had a dietary requirement. The service was outstanding by all the staff, attentive without been overly so & very knowledgable about the food. Thoroughly enjoyed Peace & Loaf & would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys fine dining.

We booked Peace and Loaf to help make us feel better after having to postpone our hen, stag and wedding! We were really looking forward to it for well over a month and it did not disappoint. We have been before but this was the first time doing the tasting menu, 18 courses of pure delight. Every dish was so tasty and just the right amount. We left nothing. The staff are always so friendly and not too intrusive but always check you're okay and have a chat at the end of your meal. Our favourite restaurant in Newcastle without a doubt. Looking forward to coming back when we can. Thank you.

A Birthday celebration with my family was the perfect afternoon in Peace and Loaf, experiencing the tasting menu for the first time.
The restaurant took all the necessary precautions for Covid, whilst maintaining a relaxed and friendly ambience.

Some dishes exceptional but two or three bland. £11 + for large glass of Alberino !!!!!

Superb food and service at peace and loaf. Only slight grumble was that the wine flight, which, though well matched, was too expensive for what we had. Plus there wasn’t a match for every course. Tend to go for wine flights with tasting menus generally, but won’t do this again here.

It met all our expectations. If there was any constructive criticisms then I would say that most of the tasting samples were too salty for our pallet. Some of the wine choices complimenting the courses were disappointing.

Absolutely outstanding service and food! Couldn’t recommend enough.

We have been going to Peace and Loaf for a few years now and each time the experience gets better and better! This time we went for the short tasting menu (still a lot on there!) and were not disappointed! Each course was so full of flavour and uniquely designed, and despite the smaller sample sizes, we were completely full by the end - with just enough space to squeeze in the sumptuous petit four! Our favourite thing about Peace and Loaf is the menu - you only know what ingredients will be featured in the course and it’s always a surprise to see how they are presented!

The food and service were as good as ever in one of our favourite restaurants. The flavours on both the main and the vegetarian menus were often intense, and the combination of ingredients sometimes inspired. Can’t wait for the next time.

We asked for the taster menu B and also for it to be vegan. They really made a special effort and celebrated all that is vegan with amazing dishes. The veg (and fruit) really was was the star and the tastes were astounding and surprising.
We had an absolutely wonderful meal celebrating our 10 wedding anniversary and would highly recommend this restaurant.

Our first visit and more than overdue. Peace & Loaf more than lives up to it’s big reputation. Clientele is obviously for the main young professionals and as my partner and I are both in our late 50’s we found the music a tad loud. The decor is state of the art modern, minimalist and industrial. Our table was on the top floor, which is level 3 in terms of seating. This gave us a good view of proceedings.
From the initial meet and greet the service was superb. Very professional, attentive and informative. At the same time warm and friendly.
The food, well our 14 course Tasting Menu was sublime. Modern, innovative and ‘fine’ dining for sure. However, there was no nonsense, every ingredient recognisable in terms of flavour and freshness. Innovative combinations, everyone a triumph!
Can’t praise the whole experience enough and we look forward to David receiving a first Michelin star.
